My wife and I had a fantastic time relaxing and enjoying our anniversary at "Sunrise at the pond." Kevin and his wife were excellent host, and the animals were great entertainment.

We had a terrific time camping on Kevin's farm. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a quiet weekend surrounded by nature. Despite visiting in the heat of summer, there was plenty of shade at both the gathering area by the pond and at the tent, which was very cool and comfortable. Kevin and his family are terrific hosts, and we enjoyed the chance to walk their working farm and see a variety of animals. Our hosts thought of everything and were super accessible. And you definitely won't run out of firewood! We definitely look forward to returning.

Sunrise by the Pond
Other’s reviews of the stay are spot on! Spacious tent, we added an additional queen size raised camp bed with ease. Shower is hot and close to site and port-a-john clean and closer to the site. There’s a gas station with a convenience market less than a mile from the site for last minute supplies.
We took the kayaks out for an afternoon trip around the pond and got to visit a few farm animals. There are trails to hike right from the camp site.
Malinda and Kevin were responsive to our request and really enjoyed getting to meet them. Hope to stay here again in the future!

This was our second time staying at sunrise by the pond. We always enjoy our visit! Everything is always clean and well kept. The kids absolutely loved the animals and going out onto the water! The hosts are responsive and even provided us with a color packet for the fire! We will be back for another visit!

This place is an excellent get away from the city. The tent is comfortable. There are kayaks and canoes for exploring the pond. This place is so peaceful. If fresh air and quite are what you need this place is excellent. Kevin is very friendly and responsive. He made sure we were well supplied with firewood and fresh water. There is a portapotty a short walk from the tent and it is kept very clean. Exploring the farm and meeting the animals was very fun. Our dog had a fun time being off leash and exploring around our little camp.

It is such a beautiful place. A pond you can enjoy on some kayaks, animals, nice and roomy tent, fire pit, just a wonderful experience! Will definitely be back.

Kevin was a wonderful host - making sure we could find the place easily with great and timely directions, and then letting us enjoy it quietly. The site exceeded our expectations with the available amenities and we especially loved getting to see and interact with the animals. Everything was clean and well-kept. We had a 3 and 5 year old, and this was their first glamping trip. Would absolutely recommend Kevin as a host and this lovely site!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying on Kevin's farm! The camping area is very large and separated from the farm so we could let our 3 large dogs roam freely. 2 adults and 3 large dogs also fit nicely in the large tent provided by Kevin. He provided tons of firewood, a water jug (that he kindly refilled whenever we needed!), a porta-potty onsite, and an outdoor shower - with hot water!! He stopped by a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. We were also encouraged and welcomed to bring our dogs (on leashes) to visit the farm animals! We met horses, cows, goats, donkeys, chickens, and even got to play with baby chicks 🥰🥰🥰 !!
We very much enjoyed our time away from the city and relaxed by the pond, cooked over the firepit, and let our dogs be dogs (swimming, getting dirty, farm animal adventures).
The one thing that surprised us was the train that runs nearby. It had a tendency to blow horns loudly at 3am 😂 but we will gladly accept some train horns for the kindness Kevin's family showed us and the unique and wonderful retreat we enjoyed.

We’re used to primitive camping so going to a place that already had a glamping tent was a nice change! It thunderstormed the first night and withstood the rain.
My husband chose this spot because he loves fishing, and he was not disappointed. We did do some evening fishing. There were some mosquitos but not unbearable. Bathroom and shower are by no means glamorous but does the job well. The shower was surprising very hot!
We spoke to Kevin for a little bit and he was very passionate about his farm. We even got to buy eggs off of him!
We’re excited to bring friends with us next time!

We loved our stay at Kevin’s. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing on the pond, walking through the woods of the property, and meeting all the farm animals. We also loved building a fire and drinking our morning coffee while the sun rose over the pond. There is so much to do all in one place! It was great to meet Kevin and hear about the history of the farm. We hope to be back soon!

Stayed a night with my dog as a stop point from Myrtle beach to PA. Kevin and his site were great! Large cooler of cold water was provided. Free Firewood burned great, he provides everything u need to start a fire. Safari Tent AND outhouse was spotless, no bugs. Outdoor shower with hot water was a nice amenity.
Right on the pond my pup and I loved the canoes/kayaks. My dog and I got hungry pretty late and Kevin hooked us up with a huge steak for a good price that cooked great over the fire from frozen. All the animals were great and looked very well taken care of. The star of the show was his dog Buck, who will greet you before Kevin does. You can see the thought & care that has been put into his farm and campsite.

Tent was clean, farm land was awesome to explore. Very accommodating giving goat food and telling us what foods donkeys, horses and goats could eat. Canoes and kayaks were easy to put in and fun, fire was great. Grill was clean annd has propane, porta potty was clean. Overall a great experience with a ton of land and things to do.

This is our third trip to Kevin’s sunrise by the pond and like always we had a great time just unplugging from our busy lives and getting to simply enjoy nature and all the awesome animals at Kevin’s farm. 10/10 recommend and we’ll be definitely coming back before our big move to Washington state.

I had an incredible experience with Kevin and his wife! From the moment we arrived, their warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Communication was seamless, and they were very understanding of our needs.
Kevin took the time to show us around their beautiful farm, which was a delight for my kids. The highlight was definitely letting my daughters collect chicken eggs—such a memorable and unique experience!
I can't recommend them enough, and I look forward to returning soon. Thank you, Kevin, for a wonderful time!

We had the most wonderful and perfect time camping at Sunrise by the Pond! Thank you so much. It was a truly magical experience with sweet baby animals galore. Soooo many pets and snuggles. I will plan to come back and stay again someday. Everything was perfect. It was heaven on Earth. 100 stars.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Kevin's farm! The amenities were great–clean port-a-potty, fire pit area with plenty of wood available, picnic table, chairs, and so much more. He even had an orange Igloo cooler full of water there for us when we arrived. The site was very spacious and surrounded by beautiful tall pine trees. Kevin showed us around his farm and talked to us about what he does, which was a really great experience. Plus, who would say no to holding a baby goat? I appreciated that we were allowed to walk around at our leisure to visit his animals, it was a very welcoming and cozy environment. All in all it was a wonderful stay!

I loved staying at Sunrise by the Pond with my 2 dogs, it was private and beautiful! Kevin was a wonderful host and made sure we felt at home while we were there. The site has everything you need and was well maintained and so so clean. We plan on coming back again, I loved the farm and everything about this site!

We stayed at Sunrise by the Pond right after Thanksgiving with our dogs, and it was such a great experience. The site was beautiful, and the glamping tent was super clean and had a heater, which was perfect for the cold weather. They even provided firewood for campfires, which was a nice touch.
Kevin and his wife were so friendly and welcoming. We had a great chat with Kevin and learned a bit about the farm and his life, which made the stay even more special.
We’d love to come back in warmer weather and definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

We loved Sunrise on the Pond! The site was large, private and well-equipped. Kevin and Malinda welcomed us warmly and shared their land and animal family generously. The pond was beautiful and offered a great place to boat around. Despite the cold temperatures was had a lovely time sitting by our campfire and enjoying the peace and beauty.

Such a beautiful Glamp site! The tent even had a space heater which made the experience even more cozy. Lovely fire pit next to the pond. The canoes and kayaks were available to use anytime. Our dog loved running around the space. And the farm itself was cool to explore. Highly recommend!

My family loved camping on Kevin’s property! The site easily accommodated 2 cars with 5 adults, 1 toddler, and a dog. We had plenty of space for a large 8 man tent along with a 2 person tent. The provided tent was well equipped and very nice. Plenty of fire wood and water provided. The 2 on site porta-potties are in great condition. Many chairs and tables provided. Lots of things to do in the area: paddling on the lake in canoes/kayaks, exploring trails, touring the farm and seeing lots of animals. Kevin was a great host! He made sure to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. He also gave us a tour of the farm and educated us on his many animals. We loved our weekend here and will definitely come back in the future!

Absolutely beautiful. This was the best camping experience my family has ever had. The hosts are wonderful and you couldn't ask for a better location. It's private, with lots to do (see animals, canoe, fish, hike, etc.) and the tent is spacious. We will definitely be back!

Amazing weekend! Kevin’s land is so beautiful and tranquil, the tent site is very peaceful, private and has everything you need! The tent is super clean, the bed is comfy, and Kevin went above and beyond to provide everything you can think of (paper towel, toilet paper, etc.) he is so knowledgeable about farm life, and we loved learning and exploring the farm and the different animals. Also came home with some eggs and beef from the farm. He went above and beyond to help me set a fire so I can make some burgers (after I tried and failed 😆). Thank you Kevin for an amazing weekend! If you go there, get some actual free range chicken/eggs/beef!

The site was clean, beautiful, and allowed for much needed relaxation after attending a music festival in Richmond both days of our stay. We took the canoe out for a lovely morning paddle and had the opportunity to pay the animals a quick visit, as well! Kevin and Melinda were extremely hospitable and easy to get in touch with. They were happy to explain the ins and outs of the site and included detailed directions that made our late night arrival run smoothly. We would love to come back soon!

We loved staying at Kevin and Melinda’s! The pond was just lovely and there was so much to explore around the land. Kevin was such an amazing host and was super welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with him about his place. We will definitely be back longer next time! Definitely recommend 😁
