One of the possible camp sites at the main campground. This is in the middle of the loop in the road at the end. There are other sites on either side and a trailer situated just below. There is a primitive camp shower and compost toilet available for campers. Please make sure you get instructions before using. or you can also rent the trailer for the perfect larger gathering. This bathhouse capacity is for only a few people so for larger groups you need to rent trailer or supply duty bags until I can get a portapotty in.

2 nights at Earthwalk Ways Retreat

Wow. She is a gem. Take advantage of the river and Gazebo. Both alot of fun and solitude. Off the beaten path. Extremely quite. Tent sites are level. Mine offered trees. As I use a Lawson hammock style tent to get off the ground whenever possible. Much, much shade you're in a forest. Leave the site as you left it. I would go back. I was the only one using the tent area. A bonus for me. We'll done. Composting lue is and water set up was perfect and came in handy. I did not use anything else she offers. PEACE

We throughly enjoyed our peaceful camping trip. Robert's land is perfect for our needs. Our dogs were so relaxed and so were we. We will have a really hard time enjoying a regular style campground ever again. We will be back!! Communication was great and responsive. We managed to fit a triple axel 34ft camper in with minimal leveling. We enjoyed some breweries nearby and shopping in mineral. The fireworks were a special treat and even my hotspot worked for Netflix. Thank you for sharing your land.

My recent camping trip to Scot and Peggy's property was an absolute delight, offering a truly peaceful and secluded escape. From the moment of booking, Scot and Peggy were incredibly responsive and communicative, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Their clear communication ensured there were no issues whatsoever. The campsite itself was ideally situated right on the river, providing several convenient access points along the various sites. This was a fantastic feature, allowing for easy enjoyment of the water. Beyond the individual sites, there was a large, inviting field and common area, perfect for guests who wished to gather and socialize. What truly stood out was the quiet and secluded nature of the site. It offered a beautiful and serene environment, perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. 14 nights at Cross Creek Farm

The tiny house was great! I stayed two weeks with my two big dogs. It was well laid out and had everything we needed. I ended up sleeping on the futon with my foam mattress I use while car camping because my old dog couldn't navigate the steep stairs to the loft, but it was actually comfy. The kitchen is minimal, but I could do a little bit of cooking and make coffee, so it worked. The house looks out on a pasture with trees hiding the road, so it was very private yet roomy outside, and the dogs had room to roam a bit (I kept an eye on them). The farm is very picturesque. The host was friendly and accommodating, the eggs were delicious, the whole experience was lovely if a bit primitive. Exactly what I expected!

3 nights at Riverfront Retreat

Easy check in with clear directions for the site. Plenty of spaces, but not all are level with decent shade. Access to the river is easy at the two marked points, but definitely not anywhere else as it's way too steep/overgrown. The river is mostly shallow and slow moving, perfect for tubing or wading. Facilities were as clean as to be expected and stocked (didn't use the showers). We had the entire place to ourselves for a few days and would definitely come back.

Weekend Trip to Sunrise by the Pond

We had a terrific time camping on Kevin's farm. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a quiet weekend surrounded by nature. Despite visiting in the heat of summer, there was plenty of shade at both the gathering area by the pond and at the tent, which was very cool and comfortable. Kevin and his family are terrific hosts, and we enjoyed the chance to walk their working farm and see a variety of animals. Our hosts thought of everything and were super accessible. And you definitely won't run out of firewood! We definitely look forward to returning.

Weekend Trip to 1850's Greenock Farm, plus 4WD site

Randy is ace—very responsive and on top of things. The 4x4 site was not fancy, but it is perfect if all you are looking for is a mowed spot in the woods with a fire ring (perfect for my needs). The road to get to the spot is not as tight as it looks, just use common sense and take it easy. All in all, perfect.

Weekend Trip to CASA VARGAS

This was our second stay, and it was just as great as the first! The location is beautiful and peaceful, set on a quiet farm with a very large pond that’s perfect for kayaking. We caught bass and sunnies, which was a lot of fun. The campsite is very spacious with plenty of room for our camper and two tents. The host is incredibly friendly and offers great communication, making everything easy and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the outdoors!

Great spot, great host. Awesome communication. Very private. The approach is steep, so I wouldn't recommend carrying anything heavy down that you don't absolutely need.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this campsite. The site place was spotless. Additionally, the location is fantastic, with a natural setting that allowed us to relax and enjoy to the fullest. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Chapelle Charlemagne Vineyards

This is inexpensive camping in a beautiful part of VA, with a decently clean half bath at your disposal. The host is responsive, the views are stunning, and the site was comfortable. I will say that on driving in, it was not clear where we were supposed to camp. As you look at the bathroom, on your left is a hill with a couple picnic tables and a fantastic view, but no shade. My husband wanted us to pitch there because of the view, until we started noticing poison ivy hiding in the tall grass. We set our coolers in the bathroom to stay cool, and left to go our sightseeing, leaving the site decision for later. That was the right choice, because in the meantime, the host sent me two videos that showed we'd totally missed the actual (mown) sites: two on a ridge to the right of the bathroom (southeast), and at least one off to the left (west). So, be sure to ask for the videos! To resolve the questions in other reviews: as of June 2025, there's no wine to buy or tasting room or anything. It's just a couple sites with picnic tables, fire pits, a half bath with potable water, and a feeling of serenity. (Also in June 2025, no biting bugs?! Gnats and flies, but nothing that bites. Amazing.)

Spend relaxing time petting the Nigerian Dwarf goats, Rhode Island Red chickens, and the super-friendly livestock guard dogs (Thomasina, Bucky, and Sarge). We are a Nature Retreat bordering Nature Conservancy land along a tributary and up and down the Rappahannock River. You can hike along the stream down to the river and up and down the river. You can fish and float the river. There are no trails so a moderate level of fitness and comfort in the forest is needed. You can follow the water ways but it is wilderness. Camping there is primitive but available or you can camp or glamp at Earthwalk Ways Retreat. We are also adjacent to a 50 acre farm on the other side of the creek that is available for hiking. There is a reservoir nearby as well. We are in the midst of the suburbs not far from Fredericksburg, which has some great historic and community places of interest. Our facilities are private and we only rent to one or 2 guests at a time. You can glamp in a trailer, or car camp in a nice campground with power and water or you can go primitive and pack in. All spaces include access to our classical 11 circuit labyrinth and backyard gardens where you can enjoy zen rock garden and other contemplative nature crafts. There are some great extra's here as well including an outdoor jacuzzi and indoor infrared sauna and massage chair. These spa features are another great way to get your zen on here. I offer Forest Bathing and individual retreat support sessions, an quarterly sweat lodge and also vision quest support if people would like to experience a solo nature immersion feast.
