Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Rustic wooded and primitive campsites with plenty of firewood. Flat sites, hills, trees, and plenty of wildlife that is tucked away in the Widewater area of Stafford, VA. Access to Widewater State Park, and The Marine Corps Museum nearby. Additional access to nearby Government Island historic site where the stone for Washington DC's monument's and buildings were sourced during the city's early construction/beginning. Ferry Farm (George Washington's boyhood home) and other sites within a 30 minute drive. Plenty of options for food, with additional options for local breweries, distilleries, and wineries nearby. Potomac Point Vineyard is 5 mins away. Pitch a tent anywhere on the land, or park your camper on the log yard's landing/loading dock.Choose anywhere within our property boundaries to set up your tent, or you are welcome to set up your overlanding/vehicle-top tents or otherwise on the access road (4x4 suggested if you commit down the road), or the top gravel parking area at the front of the property. Since at this time we only allow one booking (10 guests in same party/booking) on our land at a time, you will have ~6 acres to yourself.

Great place in the woods great host
20 ft campervan · With pets
As of this writing: there is a flat spot which looks to be a wood splitting operation when not occupied, along a quiet driveway. OR there is this really nice hollow down a short road or trail that’s really pretty and isolated. Warning: as of now that road is very treacherous, I (and a few would be rescuers) needed a serious rescue to get back up. Maybe best for tent camping for now. Alex is an awesome host.

Alex was very relaxed about check in, and not over my shoulder while camping. For privacy, 10/10. Make sure to pack in and out, and bring your own water DC there are no amenities at this rustic site!

Primitive Camping at it's finest
Tent
I feel honored to see this space before the owner is able to fully layout his plans. If you are looking for 100% primitive camping this is your spot. As per the owners suggestion I hiked in about 10 minutes from parking and found a few good trees to hang from. The night was scary for this first time solo camper because I didn't know what I was hearing or what might show up lmao! However with a bear vault and the Good Lord I survived, and now feel like an official solo camper! 🤣 Directions were spot on, owner was responsive and available if needed. Overall it was a great night of growth and some good ol wilderness camping! For future reference I learned they have spotted most wooded animals ie. deer, raccoons, coyotes all healthy, and aren't too sure but probably have a black bear out there. They also plan to set up a few designated camping spots so definitely keep an eye on this one!
