**** Limited time - Baby Goats born mid-March will be here through June *** Originally part of Blake Farm, built in the 1930's. Blake Farm was subdivided into 5 acres farmettes in the 1990's. The original farmhouse is next door, now known as Agape Farms. The forest has reclaimed much of the original Blake Farm land. Visit over 4 acres of available land, from the pastures, to the wooded creek, or the very back edge of the farm abutting deep woods. Spend relaxing time petting the Nigerian Dwarf goats, Rhode Island Red chickens, and the super-friendly livestock guard dogs (Thomasina, Bucky, and Sarge). We are also located adjacent to Agape Farms, with its horses, ducks, and chickens. All this in horse country just minutes from I-95 and an hour from Washington, DC or Richmond, VA.

The Mulchy Forest site

We stayed one night. They had plenty of fire wood at the site and kindling. The composting toilet was simple and in a private spot. The spot was maintained and had plenty of shade. There were a few dying trees surrounding the spot but we didn't have any issues. RV campers were close by but the spot provided privacy. There are herding dogs that will alert when you come close to the fence. The neighborhood dogs will bark all night. And some noises in the night that don't have stories. I would stay again. The owner came by and shared that this spot used to just be something small but has developed over time.

Farmside Tiny Home Experience

This tiny house was awesome and the perfect place for my stopover in Virginia during a roadtrip. It was a very hot day, so the AC was definitely a plus! The house had everything I needed, good kitchen setup and comfortable sleeping area. It was convenient to drive up and park right next to the house. Hosts were friendly and kind, highly recommended this place.

Hidden gem

Our visit to Rodney’s campsite was great! It was relaxing and I will recommend and return when we’re in the area. During out visit we met all the animals, family and others who stayed on the site during our stay. Rodney is very helpful, ge was able to recommend a few stores for things we needed and greeted us also he actually meet with us before we booked. His site is clean, calmer and quieter than expected by far for a farm with livestock. This is a hidden gem you must see. They have the cutest set up in the back for those using tents. I wish the pics provided better justice. You won’t be disappointed go check them out!

Tiny Home Convenience

I very much enjoyed the convenience and comfort of the tiny home experience. I spent a night during an extreme heat wave. The air conditioning worked very well, especially downstairs. I really appreciated Rodney‘s great communication and helpfulness.

The Mulchy Forest site

Camping with the Big Dogs!

I had a great experience tent, camping at Rodney‘s place! Even though I camped during a severe heat wave, the site was nice and shady, and a gentle breeze kept me cool at night. Rodney was very accommodating to my needs and provided timely and clear communications. I enjoyed meeting the farm animals, dogs, goats, chickens, and ducks. I look forward to camping here again.

Exceptionally amazing stay w/dogs

Excellent and we highly recommend!!!! Where do I start? So these folks on this property certainly make you feel comfortable, at home, safe, with ease, very helpful and pleasant to be around. We've had an amazing stay. We're actually still here since we extended from our original 1st reservation. We extended as much as we could and unfortunately we leave in a few days. The live stock are funny, especially the silly goats. The baby goats are so cute. The 3 dogs are my fav, they became like mine own and we will certainly miss them. I tried not to get attached as I love dogs. We have our 3 dogs with us who also love it. It was hard not to fall in love w/ Rod's pups. Our ele/water hook up station is parked directly in front of the barn. They are work dogs that stay in the barn so we got to greet them daily. They gave me a high sense of security (yes, I'm a coward & new camper). We also met the other animals with Tara's assistance, Zack (helper) and Rodney also showed us. We slept, rested, and relaxed in a form I can't describe. We really needed this after experiencing an insanely large move. We met some of the other campers and many nights we'd host a campfire. Rodney and Tara have a great thing going here and I hope any and everyone who comes here respects these ground and these folks as I feel like they are God sent. This was a perfect experience from a picky, scary, newbie. We give them 10 stars.
