Come pitch your tent along the North Anna River on our 150 acre farm in Doswell, VA. You'll have exclusive access to our campsite, within easy access from Richmond (20 minutes), Fredericksburg (30 minutes) and Northern Virginia (60 minutes). You'll have acres and acres to explore during the day and a chance to enjoy beautiful views on the water around our fire pit at night. The river offers an opportunity for swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing, just down the steps from the campsite. Pricing is $40 for four guests and $10 for each additional guest, per night. Children under twelve are free but we do require that you book the correct number of over twelve year old guests when you make your reservation. Our property is remote and check-in and check-out are contactless - we can't wait to welcome you to Riverdale!

Site 2 - Camping at Riverdale Farms

The place was really nice , I rented both campsites out they where to close together, I just wish the the river was deeper to swim in, but my dogs love it, the fishing was good early morning or later in the evening.

Ladies Only Camping- Best Trip Ever

I think this may be my favorite campsite ever! Two of my best gals , one of our pups, and I stayed on site 1. There were neighbors nextdoor but despite being visible to each other, we were so far separated that there was no issue at all. In fact, we made some new friends! Amazing hammock spots, two private & clean outhouses! The river is amazing, with soft sand on the bottom! There are sandbars, shallow spots, and deeper parts - perfect for any and all water activities. Our neighbors caught some yummy looking fish for dinner too! So great for fishing - I regret not bringing my pole! My favorite part though is our host, Daniel. I’ve been here twice, and both times Daniel has made my stay so comfortable. He comes down to check on everyone once at night and once in the morning. He is the happiest, most sweetest man who is always up for helping. He helped us ladies find & get our firewood together, he also came to our rescue when we needed fire starter & kindling! A total lifesaver!!! The only downside that someone may find here (other than bugs! Bring bug spray!) - is that you can hear some very faint hoots & hollers from Kings Dominion which is quite literally across the street through the woods. But if anything this is kinda humorous , I know we giggled at the “AHHH OH MY GODS!” that echoed through the campsite every once and a while. I will say I heard about this in other reviews though & I really did not think it was a bother at all, but I cannot speak for everyone!

Good for dogs

This is a huge property just outside Richmond VA that offers two primitive campsites tucked at the edge of the property, along a quaint river. We booked site 1 since it came with river access, but keep in mind the steps are still under construction. The wasps were super active at this site, so we setup camp at site 2 right next (which was vacant). Communication was nonexistent via the app, but you will receive an email confirmation with the host rules.
