It’s ideal for campers, families, and outdoor lovers seeking nature, space, and a digital detox—just minutes from state forests, rivers, and trails, and an easy drive from DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore.The campsite is located on the 6-acre side of a quiet, 10-acre farm, set in open pasture with a wooded backdrop at the rear of the property. The land is flat, spacious, and peaceful, offering wide views by day and dark skies by night. With minimal light pollution, guests can enjoy stargazing, identify constellations, and experience truly quiet evenings away from the city. At the center of the campsite is a four-season, 6-meter circular canvas bell tent, designed for comfort in all weather. Inside, the tent features well-spaced sleeping arrangements with sturdy cots and provided bedding, allowing guests to rest comfortably after a day outdoors. An indoor wood stove provides warmth and ambiance during cooler months and makes the tent usable year-round. Outside, the campsite is fully set up for gathering, cooking, and relaxing. DC Trip Glamping Experience

Off‑Grid Bell Tent Farm Stay

Spacious land with neighbors far enough away that you’ll never feel crowded. It’s a glamping style experience that still captures the spirit of real camping and you get the atmosphere without the hassle of setting up and breaking down all your gear. The tent itself is huge, easily fitting an additional 2–3 cots beyond the 2 already provided, which come with sheets and blankets. (Bring your own extra blankets if you’re expecting a cold night.) A small space heater inside the tent keeps things warm, and there’s a composting BOXIO toilet with a foot pump sink nearby. There are plenty of other amenities too, but it's too many to list here. One thing to be aware of: this site is genuinely off grid. It’s a few miles from the main road, and the further in you go, the narrower, rougher, and less paved the roads get. It felt a little eerie, though the host does disclose this upfront. No real complaints, this spot works for just about anyone. The host was incredibly accommodating, informative, and kind. Would absolutely return if I find myself in the area again.
