This was one of the best camping trips we’ve had! John was an amazing host from beginning to end and made us feel completely welcome on his property. He was incredibly nice, helpful, and easy to communicate with, and you can tell he genuinely wants his guests to enjoy their time there.
The land itself was absolutely beautiful. It was peaceful, spacious, and gave us exactly the kind of camping experience we were looking for. We had plenty of room to spread out, relax, cook, hang out, and just enjoy being away from everything for a few days. Waking up surrounded by nature every morning was probably one of my favorite parts of the entire trip. The property has such a calm and relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to forget about everything else and just enjoy the moment.
Our group had an amazing time and made some memories we’ll be talking about for a long time. John’s hospitality really made the experience even better. He was super friendly and respectful while still giving us the space to enjoy the property like it was our own little getaway.
I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place or host for our trip. If you’re looking for somewhere beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming to camp, I definitely recommend staying on John’s land. We would absolutely come back again!
Great camp site on secluded pond. Really nice large tent already setup on site with nearby table and fire pit. Beautiful scenerey. Small floating doc has a small electric motor to tool around. Host was very responsive. Would definely recommend.
Amazing people that make feel right at home truly. Nothing like having a nice quiet campsite in the outdoors.
We had an amazing time and absolutely loved camping here we have already planned to come back for Mother’s Day with our children. There is so much privacy, so much to explore, so many beautiful sightseeing things along each pathway while hiking. Beautiful creeks and a pond. You’re only about 15 minutes from town so if you need anything, you can run and grab it without it being a big hassle. We felt safe with leaving all our things at all times. John was an amazing host too! He showed us around the property , answered any questions we had, has a water source so we can get more water as needed. The winery close by was very affordable and fun with great staff. We were able to go on hikes several different trails. We brought our mountain bikes too and had a blast.
John even went out of his way to assist us when the rain was trying to get the best of us. And we were so very grateful not only was he a great host but a great person overall, you can absolutely tell. Can’t wait to go back.

Love this site! Kept clean, super private, easy to get to the winery.
We loved camping on John's land. The tent he had set up by the lake was spacious and relaxing. We were also able to fish and catch small mouth bass!

I loved camping next to the pond! Great night sounds and morning wake up calls from the birds. The tent kept me perfectly dry during the rain and the bed was comfy. I will definitely go back!! Thanks John, you are a wonderful host!!

Lakeside Tent Glamp Beside a Winery
John’s “glamping by the lake” site features a comfortable and sturdy tent on a small peninsula. We loved the sense of being almost surrounded by the water and greenery. My dogs thought the geese and fish were fascinating. The wine next door was a pleasant add-on that helped our fire-pit cooked food go down nicely.

John and Holly were great hosts with exceptional Southern hospitality. John gave exact pin point directions on the location in which we would camp but also was open to what we wanted out of our weekend. He already had several spots picked out on their beautiful property. Don’t forget about the farm fresh eggs you can add on as well as hand delivered wood straight to your site. This is an upcoming property that we can’t wait to come back to.. might I add a winery is within 10 minutes walking distance that gives a free tasting for staying on his property. We camped with two pups who loved being able to be off leash and enjoy the nearby creek.

We had an amazing time camping over the long weekend, the spot is super private and relaxing, and John was an amazing and attentive host. He even gave us a tour of his property and the future and current sites. The winery next door had some pretty great wines and the owner was very nice. We brought our dogs along and were surprised at how dog friendly the entire place was. Overall we would definitely recommend John and Hollie’s place, and we will definitely be returning as well.

We stayed two nights in our truck tent at John’s, he was very helpful and responsive getting us set up in the right spot. Great walking distance from the winery, and access to his pond and stream. Plus his farm fresh eggs are excellent!
We had a great stay here at sleigh Hill farm. Hosts were very responsive and helpful answering any questions. We had a great spot by the creek and our dogs loved it. We didn't get the opportunity to go to the winery, but we surely want to book again and check it out

Great campsite. Very private, located between a small field and a creek, with a good amount of wildlife in the area. Will visit again.
