You will be disappointed if you are seeking peace and quiet, and want to commune with nature. This site is just a bare-bones empty field in a suburb of Richmond, not far from I-95. The dull roar of traffic is audible at all times, punctuated by frequent trains on the nearby tracks. The drive to get there is charmingly rural, but beware the sounds of "civilization" so nearby. If you do opt to use this site, be sure to bring earplugs.
Also, the paths that are supposed to be a selling point were infested with four-foot tall weeds, and the site itself would have benefitted from a close mowing in order to eliminate any vegetation tall enough to brush against the skin; ticks and chiggers are everywhere. The "firepit" is half of a rusty 55 gallon drum, and a couple of disintegrating plastic buckets adorn the edges of the site, which create a mildly trashy ambience.
If you're in a camper van, and you don't mind continual background noise from cars and trains, then you probably would not be too unhappy here.
