This is a camp that is more like a vacation destination. It is set up perfectly for a relaxing time swimming in the river and watching the Marina activity. The hosts are welcoming and interesting to meet.

Judi and Barry are the most gracious hosts we have come across on our Hipcamp endeavors. They went far an above with their accommodation's. We would purposely go out of our way to stay with them again if we were in their location.

Judi and Berry are kind and generous hosts, and their property is beautiful! I was so grateful to enjoy gorgeous sunsets from their quiet campsite rather than endure a chaotic Labor Day weekend in a packed RV park. I was provided a level concrete pad with electric (50/30A and 120V), water, and a view of the harbor. I was also able to use Judi and Berry's pier with a cute tiki hut, picnic table, and chairs surrounding a firepit. Frequent guests included a family of ducks, a family of swans, a heron, and an osprey. I had a great weekend!

This was our second time at Harbor View and it was just as delightful as the first. The spot is perfect and the views are unbeatable, it feels like being in a nature sanctuary. Our son loved being able to swim in the water and we all loved watching the swans, herons, ducks, and osprey. It is hard not to be relaxed while staying there and we will definitely keep coming back! Barry and Judi are the best hosts out there.

First off, Judi and Berry are wonderful hosts who have many years of RV’ing experience. They made us feel right at home. And then, there is the view from the RV. We watched the swan family (mom, dad and 2 cygnets), the mallard duck family and when they weren’t around, the great blue heron came to visit. Of course, you can also walk down to the dock, enjoy a cold brew and watch the sunset. We will be back :-)

Great campsite! Very private with nice water views. Has access to fenced yard and boat dock. Quiet neighborhood. Lived having electric and water hookups. Judi and Barry were great hosts! Would stay again.

Very hospitable hosts. Great View great price. We had a great time relaxing. The dock and tili bar is really great.It's right next to the owners house so if you want exclusive privacy or seclusion probably not your spot

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Harbor View RV Site. Judi and Barry were great hosts, making us and our dog Gracie feel at home on their property. We didn’t get to fully enjoy the incredible dock and waterfront, it was chilly and windy, so we spent time checking out Colonial Beach and George Washington Birthplace Nat Mon. It was our 49th wedding anniversary so we asked for a restaurant recommendation. Judi and Barry both recommended Sunflower in Colonial Beach, it did not disappoint. I highly recommended this place and hope to return in warmer weather.

We had a lovely weekend getaway at Judi and Berry’s Hipcamp site. Their RV pad was perfect for our little travel trailer, and their property on the water is beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing on the dock in the evening and exploring the local area. We tried several terrific restaurants that Judi recommended, and we had a lovely afternoon at Ingleside winery, where we ran into Judi and Berry and spent some time getting to know them. They are the quintessential hosts who know how to make you feel welcome and give you privacy when you want it. Can’t say enough good things about our first Hipcamp experience. We will be back! ☺️

We had the best long weekend camping at Harbor View. The spot is perfectly level and took no time to set up, and the view is beyond serene. It felt so private and quiet, and we loved listening to the calls of the osprey and heron. Relaxing on the dock at night was a highlight, and the playground was perfect for our one year old- Judi even had a blow up pool for him to use. Happy Campers would be an understatement- we will definitely be back!

I'm always drawn to water and this spot on the Potomac River reeled me in on my northbound trip to Maine. It was close enough for a quick sidetrip to DC and I loved sitting on the dock at sunset and taking my paddle board out on the water in the morning. I had an "equipment failure" and the host was great in helping me find an RV repairman and extending my stay so that I could get my awning repaired. The cell service was bad (TMobile) so I didn't have wifi and it was hard for me to make calls. All in all it was a great stay

What a great site in a great quiet residential neighborhood! Judi was fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I brought an inflatable boat and was able to launch right from their property and leave it in the water in one of their slips. Was very convenient for getting on the water. Excellent place for boating as there are many great places to explore and even waterfront dining nearby. Power and water hookups are exactly like a campsite and very easy. Well leveled concrete pad site made setup a breeze. The town of colonial Beach is only a 15 minute drive to their downtown and they have some great new restaurants right on the beach including Drift, one of my favorites. All in all, a great stay and great hosts. Would recommend.

This was probably one of the best Hipcamp experiences we have had to date. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to offer assistance. The concrete pad was in a private location, and having water and electric hookup was a super plus. We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the beautiful property and waterfront, watching nesting ospreys and being able to sit on their guest-friendly dock. This location receives 100% five stars in our book!

We loved this spot! It's super quiet and peaceful; so much so that seeing local wildlife was a very regular occurrence including ospreys, a blue heron, and rabbits. When we arrived Judi and Berry were quick to come help us back in, huge plus that it's a huge concrete pad so basically no leveling was needed. The tiki bar on the dock was a personal favorite, and Berry was nice enough to pull up a crab trap to let the kids see some live crabs up close and personal. Also, as a family with kids, having the fenced in playground present was a life saver during set up and takedown - kept the kids busy and away from the water while the grownups got to work.

We had a wonderful stay at Harbor View RV site and can't thank our host Judi enough for making us feel welcome. Thank you for your hospitality. The view at the site is spectacular and sunsets on the dock a must. Plenty of room for our 35 foot motorhome and room to park our toad. A walk through the neighborhood was a great finish to our day.

My wife and I decided to rent an RV for the first time. We started in Florida and stayed at a couple of KOAs up the East Coast. We were not impressed with how much they cost and overall non personal aspect of them. We found Judi and Berry's site for something different for 2 days. WE LOVED IT!!!! Judi and Berry were very helpful since they knew we were rookies. They helped us set up and make sure everything was safe. They were very nice and responsive to questions but were not overbearing. The view is just beautiful overlooking the water. We had our dog with us and Judi and Berry allowed us to use their fenced-in backyard to let our little girl run around so we could relax. They also let us use their dock with a firepit and even had wood for sale for us which was very nice so we could watch the beautiful sunset over the water. We saw a family of ducks that visited the yard, a crane, and a turtle. We had great service on our Verizon phones that allowed us to have internet for our computers. We were worried about the roads going to the site with our 30-foot RV but there was no issue at all getting there. If you are on the fence about booking this location, do yourself a favor and book it because you will not regret it. My wife and I are already talking about renting an RV again just to come back here in the future.

My husband and I had the best stay at Judi’s! We wanted to cancel our following plans with family in order to stay longer because we felt so at peace. They went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and felt at home. We weren’t even sad about the rain- great excuse to come back and enjoy the tiki hut out back on the water!

We recently had the pleasure of staying here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The waterfront view was absolutely breathtaking, especially during the stunning sunsets. We even had the opportunity to witness majestic eagles and graceful swans in their natural habitat.
