This property was once a 300 acre plus tobacco farm. The original log cabin was built in the 1850s and now serves as our dining room. The front portion of the house was completed in April of 1861 and the back in the early 1900s. We have plans to eventually turn it into a working farm which produces tinctures, salves and extracts of various native plants including hemp. Learn more about this land: Heavily wooded mountain side with flowing creek. Easy access (walking distance) to Jefferson National Forest, National Forest horse trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway. (Note: You cannot drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway as the path is an old forest road which has been gated, but you can walk up to it.) We also have a small, uncovered tree house which is available on a first come, first served basis. Only site 4 is next to the brook. However, the site positions are for the purposes of the listing only. You may camp anywhere on the property. There is plenty of frontage on the creek and several tents can go up there. We also now have a purple bus which is retrofitted as a camper and has a refrigerator, stove and television which is connected to our internet. Use our treehouse for your bedroom.

This place is so cute! A bit out there but well worth it for the quiet, peaceful space. The bed was very comfortable. The AC works great; the treehouse cooled off by the time I’d unpacked the car!

Beautiful, wild, and welcoming.

Beautiful site! Quiet and prepared enough to feel intentional and welcoming, but not to the point of ruining the point of camping. Just right! ~~ Warm, friendly host. Responsive and thorough. ~~ In the one night I stayed I saw quite a bit of wildlife including a box turtle sitting right on the tent pad, as if he was holding down the camp till I arrived.

Staying at Roni's land was a great experience. There are multiple sites that have a pleasant view and the property is far enough away from the main roads, it is very peaceful. Roni is very nice and quick to respond. There were others around the home that were nice and hospitable as well.

The Big Purple Bus

The Purple Magic Bus

U stayed with my wife and two little girls and we all enjoyed it. The whole vibe was cool. Everything worked. Being in a metal can in the dead middle of summer can get hot but the AC is just strong enough to keep things comfortable even in the middle of the day. Nightime was no problem. The land is nice, gardens are well kept and the surrounding forest is serene. I would definitely come back.

We loved our stay at Roni's. Booking was easy, the property was beautiful, and the camp site was very nice, with flat ground to set up our tents, trees all around for shade, and plenty of privacy.
