Enjoyable, secluded campground with a modern and clean bath house. Hosts are very nice and attentive. Even though I’m all geared up, the vintage trailers looked pretty cool and would be fun to stay in.

Great site & store. Lax management.
Camp ground 7 seems to be the most spacious and the ground is leveled. I know camping/hiking/climbing culture is pretty lax so make sure to call ahead and make sure they keep your site RESERVED.

Site 7 - Boulder Point! Spring has Sprung!
Camp ground 7 is fairly secluded and was great for our group of 10. The store and facilities are far better than a typical campground. My only negative experience was the management. I reserved 2 camp sites and when I got there both had been given away. I don’t know how often this happens but both parties were told to choose whatever site they wanted. After speaking with one of them I was able to get one of our sites back. The process took about 45 minutes and we didn’t receive any form of compensation. Camp site was great, management…not so much

We got to the campsite late and the attendant Joy was super helpful with the checkin processes. The facilities were great too! We only stayed there for one night.

Good but could be great!
The campsites need to be leveled so that your not sleeping on an incline or at an angle. The bathrooms could use some hooks or shelves and the water run off from the bathrooms is off putting. The gravel road that loops through the campground needs some work too and the sites need clear signage and parking spots. Otherwise it has potential to be a great campground!

Site 18 - Boulder Point! Spring has Sprung!
Boulder Point was great. The camp store was well set up, Joy was very kind, and we had lots of room at our site. My only recommendation to the campground is that the bundles of wood include some larger logs. In order to cook over the fire and enjoy the heat from 5pm to 11pm, we had to spend $60 on wood at the store, which I thought was too much. It's good quality wood: burns hot but burns fast. I would recommend this campground, especially if you are taking inexperienced campers. It is very accessible.

Easy weekend hangouts
This is a fun little spot to do some car camping and they have some tentr spots and winnebagos you can rent. I brought some friends here for some weekend hang time. The sites are pretty classic. Space for a few tents, a fire ring, a grill, even a couple Adirondack chairs. Bathroom and cute camp store nearby. Everything you need, it’s all pretty cozy and the hosts are nice. The drive in is through a construction business and you can’t really leave the campground for hikes as it’s all private land. So if you want to go and do nature stuff you have to drive through the construction co driveway. But if you just wanna grill burgers and sit by the fire with your friends it’s perfect.

I'd love to go back again
This was the second time I've been to the camp ground. What I like about this place is cheap price, doable distance, and beautiful night sky. I prefer having my own time when I go camping, so I can say each campsite is pretty closer to me. You can tell there are other people around you, but you won't be bothered your time if people were respectful. Moreover, the nature's singing at night blocks the sound from other camp sites. *There were 3 groups of people near my site. They were quiet most of time, but as the night went deeper, they got louder and louder, I could have picked their names from the conversation which even coming through out the loud insect's singing. The campsite is pretty simple but have everything you need _ a wooden table, two of Adirondack chairs, and a fire fit. Upon your purchase, you will have a bundle of fire wood and fire starter. In the common area, you can use a sink, restroom and even shower. I'd love to go back here before the weather gets colder.

Water quality is questionable
I’ve been here few times. It’s one of the closest site from Manhattan. Their camping site is getting better and better. Love the privacy and tall trees surrounding the site. But the only thing that bothers me every time is the water smell. I would not drink, shower, or wash from their water. It smells strongly like sodium sulfite. My eye had irritation after washing from it. Hope they can fix this real soon because I would love to come back.

Fantastic family camping with dogs
We had a great time camping at Boulder Point Campground! The entire camp wasn’t too large so it was nice and quiet. My family and my in-laws booked adjoining sites and we were tucked away in a nice wooded spot. We brought our two small dogs with us as well. There was also a “camp dog” the wandered around that was super friendly. It would walk up with a ball and drop it at your feet wanting you to throw it. My daughters took pictures with it. Bathrooms were pretty clean and comfortable for camping standards and the wood we bought from the store was dry and burned well. Staff was also very friendly and attentive. During the day we took a fifteen minute drive to Sam’s Point to hike on some beautiful trails. I highly recommend taking the time to see the Ice Caves there. My only critique was the dumpster was a bit far away but that did not detract from our experience.

Boundless Hospitality
Owners went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. They moved us to a bigger campsite because it was available, plus the owner offered to let me plug in and charge my car free of charge. Would definitely consider returning again in the future.

Gem of a campsite - close enough to NYC to get away, without being too far. Lovely pitches with tables and bbq and fire pits. Clean toilet area. Very secluded in the woods on side of a hill. When we went we pretty much had place to ourselves!!! Would go back for sure

Rooftop camping
The place was a lot nicer than what was pictured. We were expecting a little spot in someone’s backyard but it turns out there are many well kept spots available. Most equipped with a picnic table, two chairs, a fire pit and a small charcoal grill. There a even toilets and showers available. There is also a store with a very high selection of snacks, drinks, and camping gear.

Pretty spot!
The site was so pretty! Lots of beautiful trees and a nice campfire ring/picnic table. However, our site was on a slope... So we didn't really sleep too great, and every time we put a cup on the table, it almost fell over. Also sitting by the fire was a challenge since we were on a tilt. But, the toilets were great! I feel like this spot is great for a bite, when you're not planning to shower ... The sulfur water is no joke. So, when you shower or brush your teeth, it WILL smell like rotten eggs. Not the best camp shower experience we've had. Staff was friendly and helpful! Firewood was great! ☺️

Camping by the Gunks
We had a good time. The place is close to a lot of good trails and facilities are pretty good; wash sink, flush toilets and showers. We had the place to ourselves, it looked like it would be a little tight if other campsites were occupied. Some campsites flatter than others. #18 only had a flat space of 1 maybe 2 tents. Host was very responsive and check-in went smooth.
