Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away.
Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras).
Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Generators can be used but must be used with others in mind.

There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more.
Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience.
Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes.
Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's.
Amplified music is not allowed.
Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

The property is bordered by he Murrundini River on one side, 1km, with hill side views on the other. All campsites have easy access the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace.
Site One is a large flat area close to the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far.
Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space.
All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck.
All sites and river swimming are clothing optional, but please respect other campers in public area's if on site.
In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track. Normal 2Wd cars have not had any recent issues.
We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a
short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them.
Amazing, abundant
and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths, king parrots, and many, many other birds call this place home. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct.

Guests MUST be fully self-contained and bring their own camping toilet. (No holes in the ground) you will need to have a suitable camp toilet where you are able to take your waste with you on departure.
There is a Dump Point available in Rawson.

Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s.
Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples, mates , friends , camping (adults only), no children, for safety reasons with a dam close by.
Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses.
We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches.
This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block.
We offer 2 flat caravan or tent sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power.
There is also a site with a glamping tent set in the garden.
The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided.
It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks.
All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet, and out doors bath.
For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam.
Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater.
Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here.
No dogs on the glamping tent site.
Campfires are allowed during the cooler months, left to the hosts discretion for safety reasons. We supply a fire pit. BYO wood.

Lovely lovely place, there were 2 other vans there but far enough away to not hear them or sacrifice privacy. Hosts meet you and escort you to the camping area. Nice open fields to look out at for miles or enjoy the big skies. Fire pits and firewood supplied at reasonable cost takes the pain out of taking your own. Tiny bit of road noise during the day but it didn’t bother us, at night it’s dead quiet. Only 25 mins to Geelong and 10 mins to Wimchelsea. Really enjoyed my stay there, would definitely be returning and definitely recommend.

My son and I spent our first time there in a wide open grassy paddock that a creek backed onto. Matine the host was very friendly and helpful with us and helped us settle in later in darkness. Plenty of land to explore so expect a lot of walking if you are into that sort thing. Very peaceful and serene. Would definitely go back again!

We loved our stay at Somerville Park, there are several different areas to camp on the property all in beautiful peaceful surroundings.

My partner and I decided to book this spot as our first attempt at taking our son who lives with ASD on his first camping trip. We were quite apprehensive as whenever you go outdoors there will be things you can’t anticipate. But Julie’s property and her hospitality however made for the perfect combination of connecting with nature whilst having all the basic needs of a family met. Will definitely be returning.

The sites are massive and quite secluded from one another. The scenery around the farm, along the Tyres River is just sublime. Peaceful is a word that comes to mind, but just doesn't do it justice. Our host, Bernie was attentive and on hand via the app when we needed more wood and quick to lend a hand. We would highly recommend Hazelnut Farm stay to anyone who enjoys the tranquillity of a rustic but absolutely beautiful spot.

I had a wonderful stay, it was a last minute booking, when I arrived Damien greeted me and showed me to my camping spot. Nice flat camping area, very green and peaceful. Great to be able to have a camp fire, as it was cold during the night. Very grateful !

Exceptional stay! Glen & Kim’s property is absolutely beautiful with lots of hidden corners.
The site was very private. The camp fire and port-a-loo were great additions. We loved the horses on the paddock behind our property.
There was a lovely farm shop across the road where we were able to buy eggs, jam, fruit and ice cream. Kim’s home baked bread was a highlight.
We will be back.

Where to go
Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road west of Melbourne is one of the world's great scenic road trips, but there’s much more to see and do than snapping a selfie at the Twelve Apostles rock stacks. Zipline above the rainforest in Great Otway National Park, climb lighthouses, watch whales, surf iconic Bells Beach, and pitch a tent on any one of several beachside camping areas. Road tripping doesn't get much better than this.
Gippsland and the Bays
Gippsland stretches east of Melbourne to the sea and north to the border with NSW. Most of the coastline is protected by a string of national parks with fantastic seaside camping spots and holiday parks—and camping at Wilsons Promontory (locals just call it the Prom) on the mainland’s southernmost tip is a must-do at least once. This is also where you’ll find Phillip Island, home to the famous nightly penguin parade.
The Victorian Alps
The High Country is the place to go for winter snow sports and summer mountain bike trails, plus bushwalking. If that sounds too energetic, it’s also home to the Great Alpine Road, one of Australia's best food and wine touring routes (and yes, the scenery is pretty good too).
The Grampians
In the state's west, the Grampians are another mountain playground with a network of bushwalking trails, from quick 2-hour walking tracks to 3-day hikes in the Grampians National Park. This is also where campers can find the highest concentration of Indigenous art in the state. Opt for bush camping sites in the national park or more luxurious campsites at Halls Gap or Dunkeld caravan parks.
Murray Riverlands
Australia's longest river, the mighty Murray forms most of the border with NSW to the north, and all along its length are great beachfront campsites from where you can go for a swim or paddle a kayak, catch a fish, or sit back and watch the world glide by. Elsewhere in the riverlands, ride a restored paddle steamer at Echuca, take a cruise through the largest river red gum forest in the world at Barmah, and dine out in the foodie hot spot of Mildura.
