Danielle (and Wade) were fabulous hosts for the 2024 total eclipse, and their property is beautiful! Given it wasn't too busy, they let us choose whichever spot we wanted, so we took a spot that had a panoramic view overlooking their ranch--it was the perfect spot for us. Our hosts were very hospitable and generously shared with us some barbecue they were smoking for the occasion. We highly recommend this spot!

We had a great experience camping here for the 2024 Total Eclipse. The land was spacious and beautiful, stars were amazing at night, port a potty was easy to get to and well maintained. We’d love to come back.

Overlook 1
This was my first time using Hipcamp and I’m really happy with the outcome. I reserved Overlook 1 to tent camp with my kids for spring break. Upon arrival the host put us in Front Line 1 which was more sheltered and appropriate for the forecast cold on the first night and wind on later nights. The site was exactly as advertised - a picnic table and a trash can, acres of oak Savanah and gorgeous sunsets.

We had a great time here for the October 2023 annular eclipse. The area by the Overlook site is beautiful, with some great views. We saw horses, cows, longhorn cattle, and some other exotic animals (not sure exactly what they were ha, looked like big horn rams). The front line campsite is definitely primitive, but nicely shaded and comfortable.
