Welcome to VALHALLA, your patch of paradise nestled in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. Navigate your vessel to our lush two acres of wooded respite surrounded by a 150 acres of farmland. Warm your weary bones in an infrared sauna conveniently located just a few yards from your campsite. One of your hosts is a licensed massage therapist, and outdoor or indoor bodywork sessions are available by appointment. Upon your arrival, you may be greeted by wild turkeys, deer grazing, cows in the upper field, or if you're really lucky our two barn cats, Floki and Ragnar. However, like their namesakes, they are prone to adventure and only grace us with their presence from time to time. Settle into the evening with a fire. Our onsite Viking will provide you with firewood bundles by request. Plug into shore power and full access to water and free wifi for the modern Viking. We're just 10 minutes from all that Asheville has to offer! Top of the line restaurants, breweries, shopping. If outdoor adventure is your bag, we've got you covered. Only minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway where the hiking possibliities are endless. Mountain biking, fly fishing, tubing, white water rafting, we've really got it all. Great place to overnight! Kristian & Mandy were very welcoming. I parked up on a large, level, grassy area just to the side of his house (complete with 2 x Adirondack chairs and a fire ring). There were a couple of wild turkeys wandering about in the neighboring field. And a great horned owl kept me company thru the night. Awesome! Thanks for the hospitality. 😊

EXCEPTIONAL HIPCAMP!!!

If I could give Kristian's land a 10 star rating I would. Kristian was so communicative from the minute we booked the hipcamp. He was very welcoming when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. His wife was wonderful and arranged for us to have a sauna session (at a minimal cost) upon our arrival. We loved loved the sauna and it was very private for my husband and I to relax (or complain about the heat) in. The next day, we had wonderful one hour massages offered by Kristian's wife in a lovely room in their home. I don't think I have ever had such an amazing massage. These hosts impressed us and beyond! If you are looking for a real hipcamp near Asheville, this is your place! You will not be disappointed! We absolutely loved it there and will come back again!

We had a great time at Kristian's property. He was extremely accommodating especially after arriving to his site with a flat tire. Kristian went above and beyond in assisting us and ensuring we were taken care of. The massages are highly recommended! We would plan to revisit when visiting Asheville again.

For my first Hipcamp experience this could not have been more perfect! Kristian was a fantastic host and very personable. The site was beautiful and well worth the price with its secluded feel. Definitely would stay again

My favorite so far! I’ve done several hipcamp trips and this was a treat. You MUST book a massage with Mandi! Great home base to go Asheville. Level lot with water and power if you need it. Great hosts. I’ll have to try the sauna next time…

Place works just fine if you’re visiting Asheville or the surrounding areas. The camp site is right beside their house and for us camping we usually like to be away from others but it still was fine being that we only stayed for the night and left in the morning. The setup was really clean and well taken care of I will say!
