The Confluence campsite is situated on 21 acres between the north and south forks of Mills River. This serene campsite borders native trout water and an an additional 45 private acres that have been passed down in the Brittain family since the 1790s. The upper meadow provides canoe, kayak and fishing access to South Mills River as well as shaded private mountain trails.
This very private campground is a five minute drive from Pisgah National Forest and 10 minutes from the Asheville Airport and the Sierra Nevada Brewing company.
Four-wheel-drive is recommended for rainy weather.Due to snowy conditions, 4 wheel drive vehicles are required for the winter season. You will likely be visited by deer, turkeys, heron, and an occasional bald eagle as you settle in to this very private campsite. Pitch a tent on your private campsite on a 10x10 platform or on the freshly mown meadow. There are many hammock options available at the upper Meadow. The campsite borders South Mills River and 65 acres of private forest.
The Confluence is located a short bike ride from national forest, 10 minutes from the Asheville airport and Sierra Nevada, and 25 minutes from the Biltmore Estate.
The campsites are provided with a picnic table, Fire pit ,a shared Port-a- Potty, and Trash can.
