Nestled in the heart of southeast North Carolina and conveniently located an hour from Wilmington, Jacksonville and Fayetteville — our 40+ acre family land is situated directly on historic Black River. Well known for its beautiful trees, wildlife and fisheries, Black River is also home to the oldest bald cypress forest in the world, many being alive hundreds of years before Jesus walked the earth. We are the only riverfront camping experience on Black River so we aim to provide you the best views, the most exceptional hospitality (from hosts Lisa and Eric), with hopes that you leave completely happy with our little piece of heaven and wanting to return year after year!

Peaceful paradise
So peaceful!! The campground is wonderfully shaded and quiet. One of my new favorite places. Lisa is an awesome host! Will definitely be back!

Best Campsite
I loved everything about! It was wonderful to fall asleep to the sounds of the water and nature, and then wake up with the view of the river! The campsite was huge and right next to the community area with the beach, well & tables. The potty was close by too, only a short walk away & very clean! I can’t wait to come back!

Site 1 - Black River Camping Ventures
Site was great with plenty of trees for shade all around right on the river. Very clean camping area and bathrooms. Lisa checked in a few times and even had firewood handy. Good fishing on the river with some monsters if you'll risk fishing around the numerous Cypress trees. Camp sites spaced enough to allow for your own zone and easy access back to town if you need to refill your cooler with ice. Had a great time. Cell signal is a little spotty but it was actually nice to just disconnect for a while. Highly recommend. Lisa even got my site switched for me the day before due to the site I originally wanted becoming available again. Great host. Will definitely be back!

Great time tent camping here! Great assortment of fish in the river. Neighboring camp sites were a little closer than expected but very clean and well kept land.
