Wine Country Gem with an Epic View
Absolute GEM. Incredible experience from top to bottom. Would 100% recommend, and would definitely stay again. From the views and privacy, to the amenities and the activities in the area, just a great experience all around.
The two sites are a few acres situated on a hilltop up behind Carmens house. There are two driveways (one steep, one gradual) and both accessible by a sedan. She did an EXCELLENT job clearing out the brush to create two spacious campsites.
The two camp sites are 150ish feet away from each other with some trees in between so close enough for a big group to reserve both, but still with healthy breathing room if not. The first is surrounded by a wire fence so looks great for containing kids or pets, and the mountain view site (where we stayed) has no fence but an excellent view.
The amenities are fantastic: lights/outlets, water/toilet/shower, wooden table and stump chairs, umbrella, fire pit and lounge chairs. She had a few grills for use and firewood available from some recently fallen trees. This all made for a very comfortable experience once we factored our gear in.
During our stay, we chose to hike Lower Bradley Falls which was a fun, moderate ~2mi hike with great views (15min drive), and went and caught some lunch, live music, and wine at Parker-Binns Vineyard (9min drive and 1 of 3 vineyards in area). Incredibly beautiful and really pleasant experience overall (dog came with us everywhere!).
One of the best sites we’ve been to. Well done Carmen!
