Rainbow Ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans.
Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula.
The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

Browning Hollow is an adorable campsite on the bank of the East Satsop River. Privacy all around. We are just outside of sleepy little Satsop, WA and just a mile outside of Schafer State Park. The site is big enough for multiple trailers, campers or just some good old fashioned tent camping. room for reunions or family get togethers. multiple parking spots and restroom on site. Come play some corn hole with your friends or just relax by the river with a book and watch the bald eagles fish. This is a great site for fishermen and women as it has an IDEAL fishing hole. We are about 45 minutes from ocean beaches, only a few minutes from the best riding, hiking and boating in the world. We have a cute bar and restaurant within a mile. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access.
There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We appreciate the wonderful feedback everyone gives it helps us grow with you!!

We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place.
All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets.
Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away.

We had a wonderful time staying and would recommend it to anyone. We have bikes and wanna be able to ride from our campsite. Rather than load them and drive them somewhere so for us, this will not likely work in future if we are on a biking trip but very nice spots and very easy to access. Wonderful full hookups and nice view. Very accommodating hostess.

We had such a great stay! The campsite was easily marked and very easy to find, which made arrival a breeze. The river access was amazing and gave us the opportunity to see so much wildlife. We loved being able to sit by the water and enjoy the surroundings. The open spaces were also fantastic, especially with our toddler. There was plenty of room for him to run around with the dogs, explore, and play yard games with us. And I have to mention the porta potty—it was truly luxurious for a campsite! 😂 Such a nice little bonus that made the whole experience even more comfortable.
Overall, it was a beautiful, peaceful spot with plenty of space to relax, play, and enjoy the outdoors. We hope to be back again next year!

More than enough room and felt private. The bay is beautiful and walking to the beach from our site was so convenient. Having trash/recycling on site and full hook ups was also super convenient.
We recommend pulling forward forward as far as you can for gravity flow of waste line.
