Come relax and enjoy the amazing energy at Four Directions Retreat. We offer beautiful and shaded campsites, glamp camps, and a tiny cabin that will be sure to please. We also have an amazing outdoor stage nestled at the bottom of a natural amphitheater that is perfect for a variety of entertaining needs. When not playing corn hole, disc golf or other yard games, our friendly little goats are known for putting on a show of their own just to get loves and scratches from our guests. Let's not forget treating yourself to a wonderful woodfired sauna experience and a Pacific Northwest plunge to reset our body, mind and spirit. Our beautiful property features a healthy 45+ year old Douglas Fir forest and a spacious meadow which is stunning in the spring with wild grasses and beautiful flowers. During the summer, you can take a break from the heat and relax amongst the huge ferns, Fir, Alder and Cedar trees and enjoy a variety of delicious berries found all over the property. You may also want to stretch your legs and take a leisurely walk along some of the old logging roads or give yourself a push along a forested hiking trail. Using mostly reclaimed materials, we built a stage great for entertainment (concerts, weddings, movie nights, etc... ), a wood fired Sauna with cooling deck and cold shower, an outdoor event kitchen, and most importantly - the three composting outhouses strategically located to best accommodate our guest's basic needs. Check out our 4D Full Property Booking if you are planning an event and would like a private place to host your celebration, gathering, or concert. Caterers love the outdoor event kitchen! We are happy to answer your questions and share our experiences with large events to help with your decision making process. The 4D Tiny Cabin includes a large space with a basic camp kitchen, fire pit, picnic table and space for a few tents (depending on size) for additional family or friends. The 4D Bell Tent and the 4D Tent and Tipi Glamp Camps are large spaces nicely equipped similar to the Tiny Cabin. We also have 10 traditional camp sites that include picnic tables and fire pits that are spaced well apart to provide more privacy than you would ever get at a standard county, state or federal campground. Important to know: 1) A handful of the camp sites can accommodate up to 24 foot in length RV's and trailers pulled by a 4x4, camper vans, or trucks with campers. 2) Please reach out to us if you have additional questions about which sites would be best and why we insist on having a 4x4 pulling a trailer. 3) Also, overloaded minivans also have difficulties making it up the hill, but we can help. If that isn't enough, we are located close to many areas of interest. If you like disc golf, Trojan Park is only 8 minutes away. You can also jump in the water at a several County Parks along the mighty Columbia River which are about 10 minutes away. You can also take a dip in the picturesque Beaver Falls, a stunning 20-minute drive through the country followed by a short hike. If adventure "on the water" is more your thing, then you can always take a kayak around Scappoose Bay which is a 30-minute drive from 4D. Lastly, historic Astoria, Oregon and the Pacific Ocean is only one hour away. You can find out more interesting things about Four Directions Retreat on Facebook and TikTok.

Group Site #3 - Hilltop
Cool spot.
I really enjoyed my time here. Lots of great spaces to chose from for tent camping. Lots of other cool options too (yurts, cabins, trailer space, etc.) Both Kate and Tobias were really cool, layed back folk. Shame Kate is leaving, I'm sure they'll miss you. I'd definitely come back.

Clover Cove (walk-in)
Top notch stay!
I loved EVERYTHING about this stay! Kris has truly gone above and beyond with this property making sure everything is top notch for your arrival. We stayed at Clover Cove which had ample room for our six person tent and then some. We were the only ones there during our stay which was as awesome as it was trippy, just, bring some outdoor lights because it does get super dark at night. There was an outhouse nearby which if you’re anything like me you turn your nose up at but the outhouse was surprisingly clean and didn’t give me the creeps nor did it have that outhouse smell. Just a short walk or drive down the road and you’ll get to one of my favorite parts, the showers. Man oh man! If I could have the shower and move it to my home I would! It’s little touches like this that make these grounds one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The bathroom was beautiful and felt more along the lines of glamping than feeling like I was roughing it at the public showers in the national parks. All in all, I would totally stay here again. Kris is a wonderful host and has a lot of knowledge about the land and hikes nearby. My only note for future travelers is to simply take some strong outdoor lighting, other than that, book your stay here now!

Group Site #2 - Sunset
I decided on taking a last minute camping trip with my son and I'm so glad I chose Four Directions as my first Hipcamp destination. Kris was a great host with a well taken care of property. They were very accommodating and responsive. I can't praise this campsite enough. We'll definitely make this a continued destination. Just over an hour outside Portland the site was easy to get to. Though, and I regret neglecting to mention this to Kris but the apple map directions were off. The solution is just to look for the posted address which leads you to a Hipcamp sign. Be sure to look out for that. Our site was very quiet and easy to set up at. We spent the weekend there and even got treated to a movie night! Great, great space. Looking forward to visiting again.

Family Friendly
Such a fun family friendly getaway. Nicole and Kris are great hosts! Campsites are very well thought out, and with all of the yard games, animals, and Saturday night movie, you could stay for days and never leave the property.
