Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests. Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing. Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away. The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings. Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

we stayed here on our way up and back to Bremerton, so this review is supplemental to my earlier one. As before, this is a great place to stay with all the hook ups and a nice view out over the hillside. Jered is a really easy-going host and again went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. I'm sure we'll stop back by on our next trip as this site is easy to get to being just a few short miles off of I-5. It's peaceful and quiet at night and well worth the quick jaunt off the freeway to get a good nights sleep.

We stayed 2 nights in late Nov while in the area for a U of O game and it was nice (although quite cold). Go Ducks!! This was a great camping spot that was very private and quiet. We got to Eugene in under 15 minutes. We will likely be back but in warmer weather next time. Thanks for a smooth experience.

The Hosts are always kind and considerate, going out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. The place looks great as they continue to make improvements all around. All amenities for RV hook ups are available and it's a beautiful hillside overlook from the pad.. Easy to get to from I-5 but feels like you're out in the country and very peaceful. We will be back.

The RV site at Jeremiah's was great! I was there in late fall, but had a couple of nice days. It has beautiful views. When it was fogged in below, you could see mountaintops across the valley, and when the fog cleared you had a great view of the valley/Sweet Home. The RV site backs up to the edge of the hill to maximize your views. There is plenty of room to maneuver. Full hookups were nicely setup. The sewer pipe was at the very back of the site, and just beyond the reach of my 20' sewer hose, so I did break out my 10' extension hose. You are parked between the house and the shop which is a pretty big space, so you don't feel like you are crowded by them at all. The driveway from the road to the site is through a forested area, but the trees are limbed up and it is wide enough for any RV to maneuver comfortably. I arrived after dark and Jeremiah came out to greet me and help me get positioned since I didn't have anyone else with me to help watch me back in. During my stay Jeremiah gave me privacy, but was ready to help if I needed anything and responded quickly to a question I sent through the hipcamp app. I should mention that it's a steep road up to the road that Jeremiah is on, and I was a little worried beforehand, but turns out it was totally fine with my well kept but older diesel truck and a somewhat heavy fifth wheel.

Absolutely gorgeous property, a private site with a beautiful view. Very close to Old town Cemetery, with a historic downtown less than 10 minutes drive. In Brownsville, OR. Stayed for 3 weeks for a job in Lebanon, OR so it was close enough for a comfortable drive to and from, out of the hustle and bustle of the bigger city. Livestock in close surrounding areas, lots of deer! And wild turkeys.. also witnessed a lady bug swarm for the first time in life and it was such a great experience! Host was very accommodating, helpful and friendly, also gave advice on what to check out for holiday festivities while staying. Fire pit included! ☺️🦃🌳🦌🐄🐃🐓🪦They also have all hook ups available for your RV as well as recycling and garbage can for trash etc. Would absolutely stay again. Its giving Sleepy Hollow vibes ❤️
