Guests are welcome to fresh eggs from the chicken coop. We are fully fenced and gated for your family and pets protection. South Santiam River is less than 1 mile for fishing, kayaking, or rafting. Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing. There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. You can also play games inside or basketball outside. We thought it would be great to have family gatherings and get togethers here and think of this as our slice of heaven, and hope others enjoy it as well.

*Please read FULL site description and rules before booking so you know what to expect and what is expected of you!* 'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene. All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock. Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask! UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024. The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry. Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower. There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos. The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away. *Please note- if you do not respect our camp rules your visit will be flagged, hipcamp will be notified and you will be asked to pay 25% of your booking fee for cleanup costs.*

GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6). Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! We have a one acre lot in the city. Our 22' Tipi with access to a full bathroom (shower, sink, toilet). You may also camp in your own tent or vehicle. Get a fire going under our 20' x 30' canvas shelter and cook dinner or work on crafts (we use this space to teach bushcraft and survival skills classes). Pick plums, cherries, pears, apples and wild blackberries when in season. It's a 1 minute walk to access the best coffee shop and cafe in town. Our camp feels a little like you are in the country while being within walking distance of large city parks (Avery Park and Willamette Park), swimming holes, grocery stores and restaurants. As an urban site, you will hear street traffic on Hwy 99, and there is urban light from both a street light and the storage units on the North border of the property. The Tipi itself offers some barrier to these lights, however, if you want to be in a really dark location and see all the stars, this is probably not the site for you. We are close to Oregon State University campus (15 min bike ride, 30 min walk) and easy access to I5 (about 15 min drive). We host you as a family of 3 including our young daughter who might try to get you to pick blackberries with her.

Nice location with good on-site amenities. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. The rv sites are a little close together, but thankfully we were the only people there. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.

We enjoyed our stay on Jamie's land. The property is beautiful. Totally surrounded by mature forest and a large lawn with grazing deer. The RV pads were very well constructed and required no leveling. Jamie came to meet us right away to explain the hookups, give directions to forest and creek, wifi password, and even brought treats for our pup. We weren't able to take advantage of the sitting area because of the rain, but it was a nice space. We would recommend this property to other travelers in the area.

What an amazing place to stay! James and Linda go above and beyond to make you feel safe and attend to your needs, while giving you your privacy and space. Their land is absolutely stunning, the creek has it's own waterfall (and feels more like a river), and the camp spots are easy to back a trailer into and are nice and level. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Weekend Trip to Zen Garden Sanctuary Spa

These guys put the hip in #hipcamp. Jim was a wonderful and engaging host. We stayed in the caboose and the highlights were hanging out with the host and his friends, the sauna, and hot tub. If you are bringing kids maybe check with the host or Eric on the vibe before coming. It is a beautiful property and you can tell Jim has put a lot of thought, effort, and himself in the place. We hope to return, go Hoosiers!

This was our second time at this site. Quiet, clean and surrounded by beautiful forest. 20- 30 minutes drive from Sahalie Falls and the Blue Pool hikes. Both were stunning! We recommend Richard's property if you want your own little piece of woodsy heaven.
