☘️ Welcome to the Hamlet
A paradise all to yourself in nature on the back 40. Forget the noisy campgrounds.
An experience of immersion.
Play it safe at the camp site taking in the view and sounds of nature or captivate yourself in the wild! Choice is yours.
Update: Outhouse is now more accessible! Built a ramp and the door is 42”wide to accommodate most scooters or wheelchairs.
Enjoy nature walks, bird watching, and quiet meditation or reflection by the pond. On a clear day, you can take in stunning views of the Sisters Mountain range to the east. The property is surrounded by quiet timber and private land on all sides, creating a true wildlife habitat.
Our homestead is full of life, with "moo moos," chickens, my own dogs, and a cat roaming the front 40. The back 40 is reserved for true adventure and nature meditation. Please be aware that this is a wild landscape: ticks inhabit the bushes, poison oak grows randomly in the southwest corner, and cougars have been spotted frolicking on the hill.
You will find elk, deer, and cattle abounding across the property—though I do my best to keep the moos inbounds! 🤠🪻
Be a tree rooted around camp or frolic amongst nature on an adventure. The experience is yours to be had.
Have farm fresh eggs 🥚 available for purchase and if you don’t want to scavenge wood for a fire I sell bundles of dry split 🪵.
In garden season may have produce also. And apples in the fall.

Our family "Riverhouse" is one of my favorite places in the world. We use it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday professional life. The town of Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here. The river is my favorite part. I sit for hours on end, watching the water flow by. Fishing, rafting/floating, and wading in the water are all fun things to do here. If you are looking for something just to get off the highway for the night, or for a longer stay, this is a great quiet place to be. Learn more about this land:This listing is for access to a 50ft. long full hook-up RV pad. This does not include access to the house that sits on the property. Enjoy our amazing views of the Willamette river on our 500 sqft. custom Japanese Cedar deck located right on the water. Take a 2 minute walk to downtown Harrisburg and enjoy the local eateries and shops. Float or fish the Willamette River! The best part will be relaxing afterwards, enjoying the postcard sunsets. Also, our location is conveniently located halfway between Eugene and Corvallis for sport venues for the University of Oregon and Oregon State. This property is a true gem. Hungry? Then check out "Junkyard Extreme Burgers and Brats", home of the best hamburger in the U.S.A according to Guy Fieri from "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" which is less than two miles down the road. Whether you are just driving through, or looking for a Zen-like, peaceful setting to get a away for a long weekend, this is the spot. Did I mention the sunsets?

The spot felt so well kept. Christa was extremely nice and came out to greet us and helped us with parking the RV even though we were 2 hours late past check in. The hook ups worked well, and the space was nice because it allows us to maneuver our camper easily. She was very responsive and kind as well.
I love camping at the Riverhouse! Perfect view, great accommodations and it’s a big spot. Could park my 28ft airstream, a truck and SUV. Chris is great at responding if you have any question’s. Look for the eagles in the morning 🦅
What a great place. Have the entire spot to yourself. The trail was nice easy walk that my dogs enjoyed. James was a great host. Pointed out some great spots to sit and enjoy the sounds of the river. He met us when we arrived and made sure we didnt need anything. Having full hookups was really nice and having wifi was a bonus. We will definately be returning. One of our favorite hipcamps.
Great spot to Hipcamp! We love being on the river. Plenty of room to move around and park our 28ft trailer with 2 cars. The eagles every morning are super cool! Great host with excellent communication! We decided to book a few more day!
The property is gorgeous and Connie was helpful and kind all the way through! My dog and I enjoyed walking the roads and looking at the horses. Highly recommend!
A great Hipcamp!! Rare to find a spot with full hookups that provides: Beautiful far views with stunning morning and evening light. Majestic Heritage Oak tree. Set up is far enough from the host’s home to provide a lot of privacy and there are no other nearby neighbors. Easy in and out, level area, could accommodate a very large motorhome. Nearby Brownsville will remind you of Mayberry (if you’re old enough to catch the reference). Not very far from Eugene which has a lot to offer as well including 19 miles of bike trails along the City Parks, neighborhoods and Willamette River. Back at our comfy Hipcamp I loved hearing the cows moo in the distance. And the Pioneer Cemetery next door is not to be missed! We strolled through it one evening and the host is right on: Don’t think creepy. Think history and connection to the people who were adventurous and hearty enough to build this place.
I needed a place to camp for the night and this was the perfect place for me and my rooftop tent rig. Nicely located and to get to the University of Oregon area. It's quiet for the most part, you do hear airplanes coming into Eugene airport but not many. I slept well under the trees and will be back 😁
We really enjoyed our stay here. The host was right over to greet us and give all the information we needed for a wonderful stay. Our granddaughters enjoyed picking fresh apples and plums, swimming in the creek and the walking trails on the property
This was a great Hipcamp experience for us. We loved that the horses were so close, the beautiful sunsets from the hilltop view, visits from Chloe the Corgi and the hospitality of Lee and Connie. Golf and hiking was close by and the towns were easy access.
Camping at Chris’s place in Harrisburg was an absolute highlight. The setting right on the water is stunning, especially in the evenings when you catch the beautiful sunsets over the river. We had an incredible time fishing and even spotted bald eagles flying overhead while we were out. Chris is a fantastic host, and the location offers the perfect blend of relaxation and nature. Can’t wait to come back!
Great place to stay. I stayed in August and there were baby deer with there spots still showing running around the entire week. There are resident chickens and ducks and I was able to get fresh eggs from Christa There is another rental house close by but they have done a good job of keeping things separate. I would stay again
Beautiful views, very peaceful and quiet. Host were terrific and the location was one of our favorite stops using hipcamp. Ignore the busy RV parks in Eugene and stay here, you wont regret it.
After a summer of traveling this was the best place we've stayed. Probably the most private you can get while still having water and electric hookups. Beautiful view of green pastures framed by walls of trees and nearby mountains, and expansive, clear sky (and we were lucky enough to be here during a bright, full moon). Did not feel like the typical RV hipcamp and the hosts were fantastic about letting us isolate for as long as we were able to stay. Thank you so much, Jered and Stefanie.
Outstanding scenery, accommodation and host; an absolute gem. I met James who is super friendly and helpful, he even lent me his bicycle which made getting around the property extra enjoyable. James and Linda have done so much to improve this land to share with others and have more plans in the works. I look forward to my next visit!
Wonderfully peaceful location with great views of the countryside, mountains, and sunsets. Close to Mt Angel and Silverton for all your needs. Ed and Paula were great hosts and would recommend this place to anyone.
Beautiful location looking over the farm land where you can hear the cows. Close enough o take a walk or ride a bike into town. The night sky is stunning.
Jered was so responsive to our questions, offering recommendations of events happening in the town, places to check out, and even a mechanic when we ran into troubles with our truck.
We arrived in time to watch Stand by Me in the park for the 40th anniversary of the movie. The museum in town has a walking tour to check out different scenes from the movie. The cemetery is really neat to walk around in, many folks from the 1800's. Our dog loved being able to run around in the field around the site as well.
