Since 2015 I have been regenerating the soils and improving this once barren property. There is now diverse plant life on-site which attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better.
The property is on a sunny bench not far from the ocean and usually above the fog line. Our location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings.
There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet.
Both sites can use the portable toilet and outdoor shower. We keep it clean and odor free for a sanitary camping experience. * PORTABLE TOILET NOT AVAILABLE DURING OFF-SEASON
Bring your bikes, boards and outdoor gear! Many adventures to be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as bike loops, gravel roads and trails. We're also close to the beach. Within a short drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing restaurants where they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of drinks and treats at places such as The Green Salmon Cafe.
White sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua - a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes and a 26 mile trail system. Enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there.

You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too.
Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek.
There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments.

This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles.
We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night.
**Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.**

River View is located in Glenada. No bathroom or running water, but there are 2 electrical plugs (110V and 220V) available at the pole. We have a free-range farm atmosphere, with 2 kids, 2 large dogs, 2 cats, and 12 chickens. We allow Hip Campers to bring animals on the property with the understanding that they are not allowed in the tiny house and that they are good around children and other animals, as our kids and pets are often running around the land. We have firewood and fresh eggs for additional fees. THERE IS NO TOILET on the property. This is not a tent camping site unless you bring your own portable toilet set up. No smoking in the Tiny House.
This rustic property is close enough to Hwy 101 and downtown to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy all the wildlife the Siuslaw River has to offer. Bird watching at its finest! Not to mention the view of Old Town! This little slice of rugged heaven is just above the Siuslaw River and right off of Hwy 101. There is a steep gravel driveway, but once at the top, it is flat, and the view is pretty amazing. From camp, you can see Old Town. Gaze down at the Siuslaw River and all the wildlife that comes with it! We regularly see deer, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, and bald eagles. We have also had a bear that passes through, so beware of leaving food out. There are plenty of places to hike and visit nearby dunes, rivers, lakes, parks, and the ocean. Enjoy Florence's amazing food (ask the host for her favorites). It is quite an "up and down" walk to Old Town for dinner, or you can bring back take-out and eat it in the tiny house (no electricity or running water). Take a short walk to Prichard State Park for clamming or just relax with a book and feel the breeze off the river. Whatever you enjoy, we’re sure you can find something close by!

We are working cleaning up forest for safety in fire season. Clearing dead and unhealthy trees and brush. 25 years I’ve been here on this secret land Located in the Willamette Valley. We have tons of wildlife as well as animals here on the land.
We have we have drum circles, sweats, gatherings, group bonfires where you can sit out around the fire and see every star in the sky .
This was a Christmas tree farm years ago, and I have let it go natural. I’ve planted new trees and now we live amongst our own forests .

We are almost 20 acres of county and forests, about 24 miles NW of Famous Eugene Oregon, And we are nestled in between Fern Ridge reservoir and triangle Lake, headed to the Florance coast. We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests.
We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress.
Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's.
Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.
We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers.
We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy.
Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's.
We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper.
There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon..
Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower.
Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water.

The spot was easy to find. The view is really nice. We booked for only one night as we were just looking for a safe night to sleep while fishing the Siuslaw. We sat up our sleeping mats and blankets and slept inside the little tiny building in the property. We brought our own bathroom set up. It worked out really nice for what we needed. We will stay again!

This is a horse camp use to be beautiful but the cov 19 is killing it. More people leaving their fires lit as they leave homeless people everywhere. Including the way up . This is a dangerous place to be . Beware!!! This Corporate company managing it never came once the whole 4 days we were there . They should be fired !!!

Sites closer to the water (like #13-15) are more private and secluded from the roadway. Hiking trails start from the campground, which is just off the highway. The visitor center is a short drive, hike or bike away. Beautiful coastal spot!

Loved this campground. Very quiet, only hearing the sounds of the creek and wind in trees all day and night. Somewhat expensive for a spot without any hookups ($26/night) but was a great stay. Does not have cell service there, but you can get Verizon service at the Cape Perpetua Visitors Center just up the road, or by using one of the trails from the ground (0.2 miles to visitor center). They have many trails leaving the campground and many in the area. Great spot to stay.

My go-to spot if i come back to the oregon dunes area. This campground, while central in the dune and OHV area, doesn't allow OHVs in the grounds so it is by far the quietest and most secluded of the campgrounds in the area. Surrounded by trees and right up against the lake with a great loop trail around it. Barely has a bar of cell service (verizon) when there. Has bathrooms and fresh water available as well. And spots are large with good privacy.

If Cape Perpetua is full, head 7 miles south to Rock Creek campground. It is run by the USDA and its a great alternative spot.

Trail hiking, beach bumming, sight seeing - do it all at this gorgeous Oregon coast spot. There isn't a bad view in the sight and tons of activities to choose from - good luck trying to fit them all in!

Pretty bare bones, just a porta-loo, no showers and only a few sites, but nice and quiet with roomy sites if you luck out! Plus it's only $13 a night. Make sure to stop at Haceta Head Lighthouse while you're in the area!

I stopped here for the first night of traveling down the southern Oregon coast in late August, and it was a nice place. I reserved online for $35. This was so nice to know that I had a spot reserved. The fog hung right on the coast but made a nice evening with a campfire and smores. Some of the campsites have little privacy, but site 15 has a nice trail that puts it secluded in a small clearing. (plus it is nearby to water and bathrooms) I did not get a chance to hike the trails nearby, but for my car camping trip this was perfect!

Disgusted to see what has happened to this campground. Camped here in July 2016, used to be a destination for our local family campouts, but no longer will be. Trash everywhere, a burned up tent and other suspicious debris left in one of the sites, broken glass, etc. The set up is weird now too, many of the sites are not apparent, so it seems like a free for all as to where you can camp, which makes it awkward. Some weird acting campers who appear to have set up long term (as previous reviewer stated). No attendant or ranger made an appearance to even check the bathroom during our stay. They should make this place a pay site and clean it up for those who actually want to enjoy it as a campground.

This campground really only has 4 usable sites, and only 2 are even worth camping in. There are no picnic tables, garbage service, or amenities of any kind, just a single drop toilet that is often lacking proper cleaning and supplies. This campground used to be ok, now it is largely overrun by long-term (homeless??) campers, often has trash, and just has a way more sketchy vibe than it did years ago. Lots of locals use this as a party spot too, so you can expect random late night drive thrus and disruptive visitors at all hours. Overall its not at all worth the long drive to the campground, especially when the sites are all often now full.

Campsites are a little close together but the incredible coastline and fabulous sites within easy hiking distance more than make up for it. Several campsites are more hidden off the road with thick vegetation providing privacy and a lovely river rushing by. Lots of well maintained trails for all levels of expertise and incredible coastline. Thor's well was by far my favorite.

The Cape Perpetua area is one of my favorite places on the planet. There are choices for easy or challenging hikes. Exploring Cook's Chasm, Spouting Horn, Devil's Churn, and Thor's Well at high tide will get your heart pumping with the power of the ocean.

Book early in the year if you want a weekend spot anytime after March. This place isn't huge so it fills up fast. Plus, all us locals like it too!
