The Siltcoos Cove was everything we could’ve hoped for. As a first-time experience with Hipcamp, we would 10/10 recommend a visit to this special place. As a family of four and a little dog, we had plenty of room to roam and the lake access cannot be beat. There were even fun toys and bubbles for the girls, which we really appreciated! So grateful to these folks for making their land available to us. We had the best time and hope to return!

We reviewed this place last September, and we were back again! Excellent spot as previously described. Being able to go with a couple dogs and not have them on leash or have to worry about other campers is such a treat. Especially with the water! So appreciate the host making this place being available.

Wonderful spot. Great hosts. Good to know that you can't see the lake from the camping spot but you just walk a short distance and there it is and you can bring your chairs over there. The entry to the lake is rocky, good to have some water shoes. The spot was clean and very nice. Lots of amazing birds in the trees. Could use a fine-tooth comb to pick up little pieces of plastic and things that are on the ground but nothing much to worry about. I would recommend this camping spot.

This spot was wonderful- we had a great time. It was private & easy to access- we didn't feel we had to be quiet, and the only noises disturbing us were about four million birds and some wild turkeys. We felt like we had a lil private swimming area. We had enough room for 4 tents and two hammocks and our two vehicles.
During our 3-night stay, we drove our paddleboards just a couple miles over to the canoe trail, which connects the lake all the way out to the ocean. This took us about 4 hours round trip- prob could have been faster. We saw the ocean, put our feet in the water, ate some snacks, then turned around and rowed back. I highly recommend this magical adventure.
We also went to the sand dunes at Honeyman and drove just a bit north of Florence to the Hobbit Trail, another great ocean spot.
If you're thinking of staying at the camping spot, do it. You'll be glad.

Honestly can’t say anything negative. Perfect, beautiful spot. Private and comfortable. Porta potty was as nice as they come and spotlessly clean, a luxury for camping, and in the perfect place a bit away from the campsite to not detract from the vibe. Hosts were communicative and welcoming. We all agreed we’d love to go back.

Private campsite! We camped here with 2 cars, 4 people, and 3 dogs. Large area for multiple tents. Great for dogs who love to be off leash. Water access is steps away!

Wonderful totally private campsite- you are it - right on the lake where you can launch your own kayaks or rented canoes. Off leash area for your dog. Lovely planters on the picnic table welcome you to the spot, a good fire ring, and a sandpit for kids under a lovely shade tree. Just in case we forgot our sunscreen some was thoughtfully provided. And there is a private Porta Potty at the top of the driveway to the campsite. Can't wait to go back. We launched our sailing dinghy from a public boat ramp and sailed it over to the campsite where we tied it off under the trees. FABULOUS.

Great private, spacious campsite right on the lake! Our family loved staying here as did our dog. There were thoughtful touches too like a sand pit for the kids, a bbq, potted flowers, and a picnic table. The perfect set-up made it hard to leave!

Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The spot is huge and perfectly situated on the lake. My nervous dog was able to run off leash without any worries of him encountering other dogs. I have already looked for dates I can return.

Great spot, we were even able to tie up our boat at the campsite. The owners wee so friendly and helpful. The lake does get choppy and windy in the afternoon, so be prepared with the right gear. Can't wait to go back!

Our family really enjoyed this spot. It was very private and a good size for our group of 8. (4 adults, 3 kids) We had 3 tents, a 23 ft trailer and 3 vehicles. The trailer fit ok, anything bigger might be a challenge. There was a very nice picnic table and a gas grill with a full tank of propane to use. The host brought in a pile of sand and toys for the kids and it was a huge hit! The kids loved it. There is a little trail that leads to the water and the lake was surprisingly warm. The host provided a kayak and 3 person float tube to use. We had so much fun! We saw deer, bunnies and we think a weasel? that visited our spot. The lake was fairly quiet and the view is stunning. There is a wooden chair overlooking the lake that is perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktail. Incredibly peaceful. This spot does get a lot of sun during the day so I would consider bringing a canopy on our next visit. The porta poti was very clean and well maintained. The host brought us a gas fire pit when the humidity dropped and we couldn't have a wood fire. They were amazing with great communication. We will definitely be back!
