Welcome to Sunset Bay Meadows! We have several tent/RV sites, and a yurt. Our spaces are quite large and essentially each site is a group site. Once a dairy farm and part of the old Simpson estate our property offers mushroom picking seasonally whey you may find Chanterelle & Hedgehog mushrooms. We're close to the beach and the Sunset Bay Golf Course is on the same property. Lots of hiking trails and you can connect with Sunset Bay State Park our neighbor. We have a private, secluded campground that is wind sheltered with approximately 20 acres of space in which to use our covered table, picnic tables, fire pit, fire rings at individual campsites, BBQ, sauna and outdoor propane-fired shower. The camp area is tucked away among large spruce trees and open meadows which lead to endless trails on the property, with the option to buy a round of golf at Sunset Bay Golf Course, which is right next door to the camp area. We’re just short of a mile from Sunset Bay, where you will find kayaking, fishing and a great spot for kids. The Whiskey Run mountain bike trails are a short drive away and are truly world-class trails. The Sunset Bay State Park has a huge trail network that spans the cliff line all the way from Sunset Bay to Cape Arago. Chuck’s Seafood in Charleston is a great spot to pick up local seafood. BBQ some oysters on the grill or pick up some fresh fish and enjoy the bounty of the coast. Charleston, just 3.5 miles away, also has some great restaurants and local shops to truly make your stay memorable. Only friendly dogs allowed and leashed or under voice command.

The campsites were definitely big campsites and far enough apart that every group can enjoy themselves. It is an excellent place tucked back away from the beach and the noise so you can sit and relax and enjoy your camping experience. I definitely would recommend this two single campers or group campers. It is pet, friendly and kid friendly. The sauna and the showers were amazing.

We have been camping there for many years the campgrounds are always beautiful very quiet and secluded Tim is a great host we love to golf so we can walk from the campground to the golf course and we used to always be able to bring our dog on the course we were just the re this weekend and they no longer allow dogs so that was very disappointing

Lovely meadow with well-tended campsites (and not too many of them - the feel is uncrowded), spotless outhouses, and a generally nice atmosphere. Very close to some good beaches and other sights. And an owl was hanging around the campground!

This is a large, well-kept property adjoining a golf course and a five-minute drive to the beach. Very quiet and private, the sites are large and it wasn't crowded while we were there. It is ideal for large groups with lots of kids/dogs. The shower was nice and hot, there's a sauna available (we didn't use it but it looks nice) a playground area and lots of space between sites.

This is a beautiful spot. I fell asleep both nights listening to the ocean in the distance, and woke up to birds. There were a few other campers there but the sites are spaced out generously so it felt very private. I really appreciated the hot shower. Would stay again!

A truly beautiful spot, especially if you have well behaved dogs as the meadow is a wonderful space for them to run around. Porta potty facilities were adequate. Shower, water and WiFi connection not that handy but it was great for a one night stop. The road in is fairly long and a little rough but again fine if you are not going in and out. I loved it but maybe not for everyone!

The campground is peaceful, spacious, and exactly what we were looking for. Our site had plenty of room to pull in and get set up, and we really appreciated the generous space between campsites—it felt private without being isolated. The owner was friendly, and it was a fun surprise to find out they're fair family too. The hot showers were a huge bonus after a day of exploring. It took a few minutes for the water to heat up, but once it did, it was fantastic. Overall, this is a beautiful, relaxing place to camp, and we'd happily stay here again. Highly recommend!

Camping was great. Property was in good shape. Shower upgrade is nice. Tim comes around and makes sure everything is good. Can’t beat the location.
