Our piece of heaven… We have 200 acres of trees and wildlife cozied up to Siltcoos Lake. Siltcoos Lake is approximately 3500 acres and warm enough to swim in! Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill (bring your own propane or rent a bottle from us), fire pit, patio set, table and chairs. Our lake is fantastic for skiing, fishing and swimming. There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. Our driveway is long and takes you to peaceful privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade and trim as needed. You can place your kayaks and small boats into the lake at our property. There are 2 public ramps for larger boats then tie up at your site. RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. There are many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. For large events some extra arrangements may be possible, just ask. Really amazing, secluded, lake-side camping spot, with everything you need (floaties, grill, kayakes, picnic table, built in fire pit) truly an amazing place to gather all your loved ones for some time away! Hosts were very responsive, and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay here with two other couples for the weekend. The property is absolutely beautiful, and we especially loved having our own private area to relax and spend time together. The hosts were thoughtful in providing kayaks and a barbecue, which made our stay even more enjoyable. It felt peaceful, well cared for, and was a perfect spot for a getaway with friends. We’d happily stay again!

Large grassy areas for families and large groups. Although it was great for just the two of us. Direct and private access to the lake. Isolated, quiet and peaceful. The road is difficult and rough for a large vehicle but doable. We saw some deer and a lone bear up the road on our way out.

We loved our long weekend here! It was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The campsite was very private and there was hardly anyone else on the lake. The kids love the big sand pile and going fishing. I would highly recommend this spot!

The Hipcamp app. didn’t work for us other than the initial reservation and taking our money. We were not able to connect with the host and were not given the directions to the camp and gate code. Every time the app would kick us out making us reapply over and over. My problem is not with the host but with Hipcamp.

Everything was perfect! Beautiful planted flowers around the trees and potted flowers on the table was a great touch. Portapotty was super clean and stocked with TP and baby wipes. Great access to the lake for kayaking and float tubes. It was incredible to not see any other people near by; it felt like a true escape. Really fantastic time of year to visit with several families of baby ducks. We had our own resident pair of red winged black birds and got to hear many, many other birds singing in the morning. We fell asleep listening to the frogs and woke up to bald eagles fishing in the lake. Several flat spots to park a travel trailer, van, and set up the tents. All and all, a true gem.

My friend and I had a great time staying on Janellen’s property. The dogs had a blast swimming in the lake. And not having to worry about leashing them up was such a bonus! Plenty of room for a group of people. Bring a frisbee or a net for Volleyball/badminton… We will definitely be back. Had such a nice time. Our hosts were the best! Very responsive We can’t thank you enough

This camp site was amazing. Plenty of room for us and our dogs to enjoy ourselves. Lots of nearby recreation, kayaking as close as your front doorstep. Definitely a peaceful and serene getaway.

We love that place. So beautiful and peaceful. My dog thinks it the greatest thing sense peanut butter! He gets to be off leash, swim all he wants and love rolling and digging in the sand. We plan to come back every year.

Wow - it's almost like a private lake. Beautiful property, easy lake access, and perfectly quiet. Janellen and Allen were great hosts, easy to communicate with, super accommodating, and allowed us to have our time away without a lot of fuss. We will be back as often as possible- amazing!!

Absolutely wonderful experience Great scenery, clean water, wonderful location, away from everyone. They have grill without propane so bring your own. A fire pit, pool floats for the lake. Extra chairs and bathroom on sight. I could not say enough wonderful things about this place.

This was probably our favorite Hipcamp spot of over a dozen we've stayed at in several states. Convenient to Florence and the dunes (10-15 mins), with a long dirt road down to the spot, but our 2WD van handled it fine. Extremely private, perfect for letting our dog explore and swim off-leash without worries, tons of space to relax and explore (including miles of trails through the forest), and great amenities included (incredible fire pit area, small kayak, portapotty and more). Certainly worth the price, and can't wait to come back! In a completely separate class from the vast majority of hipcamps.

Peace and Privacy on the Water

This was our 3rd year in a row at Lakeside Meadow. Perfect for our family... Because my husband and I love the peace and tranquility of just being in our own space on the water, we did a separate booking just for the two of us several days before the rest of the family arrived! Glorious! If you are looking for a private remote getaway... this is hard to pass up!

What a magical place. Right on the lake. The Hosts were so kind and offered me the opportunity to arrive early when I was evacuated when the Oregon Coast had a tsunami warning. We kayaked, we swam, we cooked, we cheered, we played games. Beautiful fire ring, Stars, bats, bull frogs. We will be back next year!

This space has been unmatched in all our research for a place to camp with our large family. Secluded, peaceful, relaxing and oh so beautiful. Right alongside one of the calmest shores on the whole lake! Your own private water access and tons of space for all our tents and vehicles, canopies and the like... and we only used the "lower level." The host graciously provided us with additional firewood which is wonderful for the chilly eves under the stars. If you love just being in nature... and can survive without the fancy amenities then this is the spot! You will even be sung to sleep every night by the chorus of bullfrogs and awaken to the sound of birds singing!

We were met by Janellen and Allen who showed us the way down the long, slow dirt driveway. At the end of the drive is a completely private huge grassy area right on the lake. The hardest decision we had to make is where to park the trailer, so many choices! We put the boat in at Darlings resort and brought it to the spot for the weekend. We enjoyed boating, kayaking, fires and the brightest moon. We will definitely be back!

This is our second time visiting this spot and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. The lake is beautiful… our dogs were able to swim and there are trails to explore all right from the campsite. We used the Onx backcountry app to help us stay within the property boundaries. The host is very accommodating and we appreciated the early check-in add on option.

Tent camping here was peaceful. Overlooks the lake offering seclusion and privacy. Fire pit area is great and the propane grill is a bonus. Hosts - Janelle and Allen are responsive and welcoming.

This is a gem of a site! We could have stayed so much longer than we booked. The lake is warm and beautiful, kayaking was the ultimate. The fire pit area is very well structured. Fell asleep to the sounds of loons. Unbelievable site! The hosts are on top of it! The greet you and leave you in peace.

Janellen and Allen were great hosts! The unexpected wet weather made the road to the main site impassable so they set me up on another site on the lake, they were very helpful and accommodating! Plus the site and the lake were gorgeous, perfect to relax and get some lake time!

This place is an absolute gem. I won’t go on too much about it only because I don’t want to keep it for myself. Also, Janellie was a fabulous host. Super responsive, had everything setup and read for us, checked us in but didn’t see them (or anyone!) on the 200 acres abutting the lake!
