Blackberry bushes make their home on the forest floor while towering cedars and Douglas fir watch over, giving this campground its oh-so fitting name. With space for 31 tent, auto, and trailer sites, and 32 RV ones, this Alsea River-overlooking campground is a truly lovely one. Come and enjoy an 8 acre tree farm located near Lebanon, Oregon. We purchased this property in 2019. This is a tree farm with 1000+ planted Christmas trees. We put in campsites, a cabin, a barn loft, and a fire pit. We offer these to guests when not being used by our family and friends. Wildlife includes deer, turkey, and quail & 3 active beehives. Guests are welcome to fresh eggs from the chicken coop. We are fully fenced and gated for your family and pets protection. South Santiam River is less than 1 mile for fishing, kayaking, or rafting. Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing. There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. You can also play games inside or basketball outside. We thought it would be great to have family gatherings and get togethers here and think of this as our slice of heaven, and hope others enjoy it as well.

There is now diverse plant life on-site which attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. The property is on a sunny bench not far from the ocean and usually above the fog line. Our location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. There is very little street traffic before 9 AM and after 4 PM Mon-Sat. Sundays are quiet. Both sites can use the portable toilet and outdoor shower. We keep it clean and odor free for a sanitary camping experience. Bring your bikes, boards and outdoor gear! Many adventures to be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. The property is close to town as well as bike loops, gravel roads and trails. We're also close to the beach. Within a short drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing restaurants where they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of drinks and treats at places such as The Green Salmon Cafe. White sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua - a natural wonderland with whales, tide pools, blowholes and a 26 mile trail system. A short 1/4 mile drive gets you to beach access and enjoying walking on some of the most beautiful coastline in the world. Convenient access to Hwy 101 makes this a great spot to explore from. Nights are quiet with faint to no road noise or light pollution. The driveway and grounds are flat with safe gated parking space for cars/vans and small-med sized trailers, tents etc. It is our pleasure to offer you a safe space to camp with your friends and family. Learn more about this land: Mosswood is on 5 acres of mostly forested land, there's usually a project going (or three). We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy! No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions. We love sharing good conversations and ideas about how to live well and stay excited about all things. Towns/Activities nearby: Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

Enjoy the calm, quiet serenity of the South Santiam River. Get back to the basics here and just relax and enjoy nature. We have a small cabin with a bunk bed, and a camping toilet is provided. Bring your tent or camper for extra room. Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river. This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments.
