We had a great time at the farm. Lori, the host, was an exceptional communicator and very accommodating. We stayed at site #1 which was expansive, private and had perfect river access! Also such an added bonus to be able to have a campfire this time of year.
Will definitely be back!

I would highly recommend this HipCamp. I was in site 2 and it was quiet, very spacious and the area next to the river has so much room for setting up camp or just hanging in chairs while you wade or swim. Loved it.

We loved camping on this property! Site 1 was big and spacious but we loved site 2 because it was right by the water. It was private ,super clean and we got to pick fresh blackberries!! Working with Lori was pleasent and she was very accommodating.

We had a fantastic time camping on Lori’s land! Site 1 was incredibly spacious and felt very private. The short 2 minute walk to the river was amazing, with plenty of areas to wade in. My fiance and cousin also did a little bit of fishing and had a great time. We were in a rooftop tent but there’s tons of flat space for tents. At night we heard screeching owls which was insanely cool! Lori was super sweet and accommodating–we will absolutely be back!

This property is spacious, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. The hosts are incredibly kind, and you can truly see how much they love and care for the land they call home. That’s one of the reasons I like Hipcamp, it gives genuinely wonderful people the opportunity to share their special places with others.
Staying here felt like being welcomed into a space that has been thoughtfully cared for and deeply appreciated. It was a wonderful experience, and I would happily stay here again.
The river access was easy; though there was not a comfortable space to hang out along the river. That was the only downside, and that is my personal preference.
Thank you for a wonderful and our pup Otis gives it 10/10!

what a wonderful property and campsite and one of the nicest hipcamp hosts we've ever met! We will be back Lori!
Camping on Lori’s land was a lot of fun! Camping by the river was such a great experience! We also got to do the river float from Mill City back to our camp site ! We also went berry picking! There is so much to do and the stars were beautiful at night! Highly recommend coming to this spot !
Beautiful riverside campsite on a gorgeous farm property. Lori was such a gracious host and took amazing care of my dog and I! The privacy of the sites is amazing. I spent 3 days lounging by the river and saw deer, turkey vultures, frogs, and so many birds. Town is just a short drive away with multiple dog-friendly breweries. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape by the river.
Such beautiful land and space to host camp. My husband, dog and I spent Two days swimming, walk in the property playing games and picking fresh black berries. We stayed in camp 1 which was very spacious, beautiful views and a short walk to the river!

A very nice and private place by the river. Lori and Chuy were very helpful and kind hosts. The spot is big with lots of space to turn around or spread out if you have a group. A good mix of forest, river, and farmland. Lots of options to explore or just relax. A great place for dogs. We felt safe and comfortable here. We saw a lot of birds and a beautiful spot to look at the stars. A real gem so close to town and get away for a little bit.

My husband and I absolutely loved our time at campsite 1 on Lori’s land. We set up camp in the shade of big maple trees, with the river mostly out of sight due to foliage, but literally only a few easy steps away. Our puppy was able to roam free to chase frogs and butterflies and we all enjoyed time in the river. Silver Falls State Park is only 20 minutes away, and there are a couple of towns just north of that with plenty of dog friendly breweries. Lori herself was very welcoming and helpful, even taking us for a quick ride on her quad to choose our site. We are already making plans to go back in the fall. We look forward to going back!

Lori was a great host! The site is great, secluded, and was a romantic weekend. The fire pit was great and the river access was very nice and private
This is a great spot if you are in a camper or van. Not the best if you are in a tent. Definitely bring shade coverage but there was a decent breeze where we were situated. The hardest part for us was that we didn't have a clear area that seemed distinctly arranged for where we should set up. We had to juggle beetles in the air and animal poo on the ground. Hoping HipCamp can support Lori and take updated photos. Wonderfully close to Breitenbush for a day pass and super close to groceries in Stayton.
Beautiful clean shaded spot w/ great access to river. Camp hosts very friendly and helpful. We loved hearing and seeing the cows!

very private. clean. mowed. site 1 is easy to find, site 2 is a bit more challenging to find. Lori stopped by upon arrival and gave us some tips on the property.
We had such an amazing time here, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with some great views and really nice water. Me and my wife and our two dogs had a great time and it is fun seeing the farm animals.

Lori was extremely nice and even educational for my 4 year old daughter. I definitely plan to bring my family here again! The camp was absolutely amazing, tucked away and the views were breathtaking of the river.
Lovely , low key spot with access to lots of soaks and excursions . Lori is a generous , aware and considerate host , we really enjoyed the hands on farm chores and bracing dunks in the river , great experience for kids and big kids alike ..we will go again with some friends next time .

What a beautiful spot and Lori was a gracious host, we had a wonderful time!
Great location on the Santiam river. Total privacy even if there are campers at the other site. We had a great time and even caught some trout. Hosts are super friendly but gave us our space. Plenty of available firewood and a nice maple tree for shade made this a great site.
This was a great stay, Lori was very kind and her property was beautiful! We loved that Lori let us customize and acclimate to the space and had so many great things to offer us. We loved being able to bring our dogs, but the only downside was having to put ours away when hers came through, but we would gladly return to this amazing spot!
The river is just a 30 feet walk from your tent at any spot, the water is clean and you have tons of space to roam! We came and didn't leave the entire time. It is a perfect site for larger groups, just remember it is more suited for a calmer experience than a raging party which my group preferred.
Truly an amazing trip, I genuinely intend to return!
We're first time Hipcamper's and we were so happy to find Lori's 40 acre Farm! Beautiful property, and we were lucky enough to have both sites to ourselves, so privacy was excellent. There's a beautiful little river at the end of an ATV trail that we spent most of our time at. More than enough firewood if you run out (bring an axe), and she was very considerate letting us know before she walked her dogs so we could put our dog Louie in. Lori was very helpful, and very friendly. Easy drive too!

We had an enjoyable first stay at 40 Acres! Our site was the first one you encounter driving along the river, so though we technically camped right alongside the gravel road, the only traffic was a farm truck passing a couple times, and another camper departing. We had the best view of the river and our backs to open farmland, but the location felt surprisingly private. We couldn't hear the other campers - a family staying in the wooded area by the river entrance - at all. The only slight inconvenience was having to coordinate around Lori's dog walks (we either had to put our dogs in the car, or she had to modify her route to not pass our camp). If you bring dogs, check in with Lori in advance about the best system to ensure seamless communication on this front, especially if your stay is long enough that your cell phone may die, or if you don't carry it on you all the time. If we want a river campsite in the future, this place would be at the top of our list!
This was our first time in our new camper as a family. I couldn't have asked for or even dreamed of more. The owner is incredible. She taught us several things about life and dogs, and her dogs were my kids' favorite part of the trip!! We will absolutely go back. This place is gorgeous, quiet, surrounded by beautiful water, and has the best host ever!

This spot was wonderful. There was another site nearby but we really didn’t run Into the other campers. Lori was wonderful and I’m so happy they have chosen to share their land with folks like us!
