TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials.
Anyone experiencing grief, widows/widowers, can enjoy a respite visit to refuel and support during tough times.
Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired.
My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so.

Welcome to the Outdoor Stay Area at FourLeafs, a small forest campground nestled beneath the tall firs of the beautiful McKenzie River Valley. Surrounded by fresh mountain air, lush greenery, and the sounds of the forest, FourLeafs offers a relaxed balance of outdoor adventure, quiet retreat, and optional connection with fellow travelers.
FourLeafs is also home to McKenzie Sound Therapy, where guests may have the opportunity to book a private gong-based sound bath in an indoor or outdoor setting—a unique way to unwind after a day of exploring.
The campground includes three active campsites, each with its own personality. Big Leaf Maple is slightly more open and social near the shared gathering area, Pacific Yew offers a bit more privacy with close-in parking, and the Group Site sits farther from the communal area, providing additional separation for larger groups and neighboring guests.
Flat parking areas and easy site access make FourLeafs especially comfortable for tent campers, car campers, and small camper vans. Travel trailers, tow-behind campers, and RVs cannot be accommodated.
The heart of the campground is a shared gravel gathering area with rustic log seating, ambient string lighting until 10:00 p.m., and a central table for meals, games, and conversation. During fire season, no wood, charcoal, propane fire pits, or recreational fires are permitted. Guests may bring an approved propane or liquid-fuel camp stove for cooking. Smoking is permitted on gravel only and with extreme caution.
Tent sites are covered with wood chips for a softer night's rest. Drinking-water-safe hose water is available throughout the campground.
Nearby you'll find McKenzie River access, Horse Creek, hiking, mountain biking, waterfalls, scenic drives, whitewater rafting, fishing, nearby hot springs, Tokatee Golf Club, and Cascade mountain pass exploration.
Wildlife sightings are common and may include deer, elk, foxes, and a wide variety of birds. If you enjoy birdsong, you'll likely fall in love with the Swainson's Thrush, whose beautiful calls echo through camp each morning and evening.

25 years I’ve been here on this secret land Located in the Willamette Valley. We have tons of wildlife as well as animals here on the land.
We have we have drum circles, sweats, gatherings, group bonfires where you can sit out around the fire and see every star in the sky .
This was a Christmas tree farm years ago, and I have let it go natural. I’ve planted new trees and now we live amongst our own forests .
We are open to RVs and fifth wheels but no plug-ins yet. We’re a work in progress So it’s tent camping for now . Hope you come and visit us

We are almost 20 acres of county and forests, about 24 miles NW of Famous Eugene Oregon, And we are nestled in between Fern Ridge reservoir and triangle Lake, headed to the Florance coast. We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests.
We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress.
Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's.
Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.
We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes. We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events. Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping. Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers.
We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy.
Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's.
We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper.
There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon..
Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower.
Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water.

Crater Lake is very much open! Only one trail is closed - so ignore the news posts saying the lake is closed for 3 years - because it isn't... Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland runs through most of October and the Britt Music Festival in Jacksonville has an open-air music venue with tons of concerts June - September. So many wineries here and check out the waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. Oregon Caves is open May - September. Let us know what adventures you are seeking and we can help you find the ones available in our amazing area... Don't forget about the jetboat rides on the Rogue River May - September which are hugely entertaining and the river and scenery are unforgettable. The Dinner cruise is always a favorite. Hint (Be prepared to get wet).
Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. The Hidden Forest Get-Away campground is spacious and rural where so much wildlife, birds and even an occasional elk herd or family of deer can be seen. This property is a haven for them all, no hunting is allowed.
If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh air to breathe and clean water available at your site April through September. Easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate. A common comment we hear from our campers is how much they love using the open air "hot water on demand" shower - at night - looking up at the stars. It's pretty amazing. The porta potty is kept clean and is privately situated, yet convenient. There's tons of firewood available to purchase for only $5 and a cart with wheels you can use to cart the wood easily to your camp site.
If you are looking to play games, just ask us for the corn hole or horse shoes, or help yourself to the games already out and available.

The Blue river flows down the mountain where it meets the McKenzie river and becomes one. This portion of the McKenzie river is more tranquil and calm. Great for fly fishing! In the summertime you can walk out into the river and take a swim if you’re bold! Water temps are around 50°. In September the salmon make their return home to spawn after an arduous journey. If you wake up and hear a lot of splashing you’re in for a real treat as they lay their eggs and battle the ducks away. October brings rain and filtered sunshine, and mushrooms spring up everywhere. The interior space is open yet cozy with an extra long queen bed suitable for 1-2 person, full couch/daybed, desk area, kitchen table, ventless blue flame propane heater and music listening options (bluetooth speakers and record player with records!)
We provide linen sheets and a perfume-free environment. We only use natural cleaning products and soaps with essential oils for those sensitive to perfumes.
Kitchenette includes 2 burner stove, eco-sink, mini-fridge, cook/dish-ware, coffee and tea supplies, a water filter and outdoor grill.
NOTE: This is a rustic space!
A separate shower, bathroom sink and composting toilet are separate, but only a few steps away, right next to our 8' barrel sauna.

Great campsite experience and host offerings. Angela was very communicative and accommodating. Clean campsites and shared communal spaces. I highly recommend her sound baths—made the stay memorable and relaxing.
The location is next to a handful of tails to explore while visiting. Would highly recommend a visit.

Lane Creek is a hidden gem of Southern Oregon! Lara was so kind and responsive and her property was exactly the place our family was looking for to break up our road trip North. We camped in Site 1, perfect open space for a roof top camper. We watched the sunset as the kids played, absolute perfection.

Nice place to stay on our road trip to back to Seattle from California. Host quickly responded to our request to stay there last minute and helpful finding our site. Pleasant area.. Nice compost bathroom, we stayed in our car top tent site 1 for 11 hours then back on the road.
Cost on higher side for what we needed with our late check in- early check out safe place to sleep for the night but glad to have found they could accommodate us. Would stay there again with hopefully more time to relax on the farm.

Site #2 on Rebecca's land was very spacious and peaceful.
I really appreciated having a nice hot shower shared for all the sites too! I would have felt more comfortable if there was a curtain on the front though, especially since it's right along the road where other campers drive by, and where there are cameras. I was also a little intimidated by the extensive and detailed list of rules the host had, but she ended up being very nice and accommodating. I would stay again when in the area!

A lovely place to break up the drive to Portland. Rebecca was very responsive and even kind enough to let me switch sites. I had originally booked site 4 but the mosquitos were pretty intense in the trees. I switched over to site 5 on the meadow which was much more manageable and sunny. I would definitely come back!

The variety of sites available is impressive. The grounds are impeccable. The location was ideal (outside the burned areas and near falls and trails.) We had a small but well-maintained site just right for our van. Very quiet, relaxing and comfortable.

Incredibly beautiful views and serene surroundings. The campsites are so peaceful and relaxing. Super nice they have running water at the sites. Would stay again! The 2 mile gravel driveway is challenging to get up in a sedan, but possible.

1 night at Umpqua's Last Resort
This is a well kept campground with a beautiful drive along the river to reach it. The host was very accommodating allowing us to upgrade from a tent site to one of the cabins after a long day of driving in the cold and rain. The host also provided a welcome pamphlet with great information about local attractions and stores to restock or grab a bite to eat. Great to see small businesses working together to help each other out.
