NEW - Starlink Unlimited Internet is now provided FREE - and it rocks! Crater Lake is very much open! Only one trail is closed - so ignore the news posts saying the lake is closed for 3 years - because it isn't... Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland runs through most of October and the Britt Music Festival in Jacksonville has an open-air music venue with tons of concerts June - September. So many wineries here and check out the waterfalls and hiking trails in the area. Oregon Caves is open May - September. Let us know what adventures you are seeking and we can help you find the ones available in our amazing area... Don't forget about the jetboat rides on the Rogue River May - September which are hugely entertaining and the river and scenery are unforgettable. The Dinner cruise is always a favorite. Hint (Be prepared to get wet). Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. The Hidden Forest Get-Away campground is spacious and rural where so much wildlife, birds and even an occasional elk herd or family of deer can be seen. This property is a haven for them all, no hunting is allowed. If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh air to breathe and clean water available at your site April through September. Easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate. A common comment we hear from our campers is how much they love using the open air "hot water on demand" shower - at night - looking up at the stars. It's pretty amazing. The porta potty is kept clean and is privately situated, yet convenient. There's tons of firewood available to purchase for only $5 and a cart with wheels you can use to cart the wood easily to your camp site. If you are looking to play games, just ask us for the corn hole or horse shoes, or help yourself to the games already out and available. Let us know what your goals are and we will do our best to accommodate for your stay.

Site 1 - Lower Meadow

RV/tent site · Sleeps 10 · Vehicles under 30 ft
Site 1 - Lower Meadow is beautiful and spacious and is the first campsite, immediately on your left. There are a few fruit trees and our fenced garden area located across the driveway. Before/After Fire Season there is an in-ground fire pit - wood is at 2nd gate (NOTE: Fire season begins July 1st, so after 7/1, be sure to reserve and rent a propane fire pit for your stay in Extras. Outside the fire pit there are a couple of built in log seats and there's room for you to pull up a couple of lounge chairs as well. The site provides a picnic table and a few large ponderosa pine trees to provide you some shade in the heat of the summer. If you move the picnic table for any reason - please return it to it's original location before checking out. Site 1 is a nice small meadow, with fairly level gravel parking and has 30 amp electricity for your RV. The campground porta potty is at the far southwest end of the site just around the corner. Site 3 is across a small access road at the far western end of Site 1. Site 1 is great for an open meadow experience. Great for people with dogs too. It is a nice area for outdoor recreation. It is primarily meadow grass and there are several sprinklers on a timer that go off daily in the summer. Now, that we allow Instant Booking and you go directly to your site without our greeting you, just feel free to make yourself at home upon arrival. While, we no longer introduce ourselves, we find most people are looking for privacy, so we hope you like this self-guided camping experience and adventure as well. Check out the campground, find the blue porta potty between Site 1 and 3 on the little dirt road just 50 feet up from the main driveway and look for the horse shoe pit just across the driveway from Site 1, and the dishwashing table & open hot water shower open April-September by 2nd gate. Any questions, just message me and I will respond as soon as I see your message. Ignore our junk storage areas in 2 spots, one past the porta potty (old vehicles building supplies) and the other is past Site 5 starting with the old metal roof building that is off limits since a tree fell on it awhile back. Site 1 is a great place to relax in nature. Listen to the birds and enjoy the weather whatever it is. Enjoy!

Site 2 - E. Middle Meadow

RV/tent site · Sleeps 10 · Vehicles under 35 ft
Easy access, just drive right into Site 2 just past the 2nd gate on your right. This is a nice flat meadow area. You have your own propane BBQ. A picnic table. Water on demand from a hose. No electricity in this site. Only Site 1 has electricity, which is 30 amp for RV's. Your site is quite roomy, you have the entire east side of this meadow. Access to rent a propane firepit and/or a small table top fire bowl - both available to rent by the night. You can rent in advance when you book or pay via Venmo after you arrive. NOTE: Site 5 is on the West side of this meadow. If you have groups, Sites 2 and 5 work nicely together. Site 2 is better for RV's due to a slightly sloped entrance of Site 5. We prefer you haul your own trash out, but we do provide a large trash can to keep your trash safely contained while you stay, so wildlife isn't tempted. Please bring plastic trash bags for this purpose to keep your odors to a minimum for everyone's safety. We also provide a separate smaller grey can for your single use drink bottles and cans. We will happily recycle these for you. Both of these sites are great for outside gaming, dogs and enjoying star gazing at night. Now, that we allow Instant Booking and you can go directly to your site without our greeting you, feel free to just make yourself at home upon arrival. Check out the campground, find the blue porta potty between Site 1 & 3 on the little dirt road just 50 feet up from the main driveway and look for the horse shoe pit just across the driveway from Site 1, and the hand washing station with the dishwashing table right next to the open shower - near the 2nd gate. If you requested lawn games, please always return games after you are through playing so others can enjoy them too. If you are looking for Swimming Holes and Local Hikes in the area, there is a binder we can bring down so you can take pictures on your phone of anything you want to go find. Any questions, just message me and I will respond as soon as I see your message. NOTE: Ignore our junk storage areas - we try to keep them all tucked in 2 spots, one is past the porta potty (old vehicles and building supplies) and the other is past Site 5 toward our private gate starting with the old metal roof building that is off limits since a tree fell on it awhile back. We also have some cow troughs in Site 2 that we are selling. Enjoy!

Site 3 - Secluded Honeymooners

100%

RV/tent site · Sleeps 2 · Vehicles under 25 ft
Site 3 - Secluded Honeymooners spot – Perfect for 2 people in a tent, van, or small RV. While you don’t have to be on your honeymoon to reserve this spot, it does provide a lovely small private level RV, Van, or car space. There is no electricity in the site but it has its own 2 Adirondack chairs, foot stools and side table, a mini Weber kettle BBQ - just bring your own charcoal, fire starter, lighter. This is a favorite spot, so private and green. It does have a bit of poison oak in the surrounding bushes, so take caution if you choose this nice secluded spot to stay within the site itself. Enjoy this sweet little spot by surrounding yourself with greenery and privacy. April - September we have a water hose for your use and fire protection for your BBQing. Must have your own running water source if you have any fire or BBQ here during the winter or non-water months. Easy to socially distance from others here. Enjoy the sounds of the birds! DIRECTIONS: Located past Site 1 and then turn left at the first dirt road and then make an immediate right into the Site 3 pull-in. This is a pull in and back out site. Now, that we allow Instant Booking and you can go directly to your site without our greeting you, feel free to just make yourself at home upon arrival. Check out the campground, find the blue porta potty between Site 1 and 3 on the little dirt road just 50 feet up from the main driveway and look for the horse shoe pit just across the driveway from Site 1, and the dishwashing table, open hot water shower open April-September by 2nd gate. Any questions, just message me and I will respond as soon as I see your message.

Site 5 - W. Middle Meadow

96%
(13)
RV/tent site · Sleeps 10 · Vehicles under 25 ft
Site 5 - Open meadow, surrounded by woods. Perfect for families and multiple tents or smaller RV's. There is no electricity in this site. The entrance is a bit tricky, so no larger RV's are encouraged in this site. You need to be able to make a tight turn or go down a bit of a slope that might be too unstable for a larger RV. Some have done it successfully without a problem. Others don't risk it. Your call... Once you are in this site, there is tons of room, so you can pull far into it as long as it has not been raining and the ground is dry. You can also pull around in a large circle to the left, but walk it first to be sure you want to. You'll find one of the flatest spots by pulling far in and heading to the left. You have your own nice large lower lounge type of round table and 4 chairs. It has a propane BBQ. If other campers are in Site #2 across the open meadow - you can park in a way that provides you more visual privacy, since it is an open meadow. But they are pretty far, about 100 feet away. April - October you have water on demand. Before July 1st and after Fire season ends you have an open and portable wood burn pit. During Fire Season (begins July 1st annually) - we have a portable Propane Fire Pit for rent in this site. It takes quite a bit of propane, so we do rent it out at $10 per night. You can rent it when you make this reservation or after you are on-site through Venmo. No cash please. Be sure to hold the button down for 15 to 30 seconds after it is lit, so it stays lit. They all require this when you start them. It is truly camping in the open meadow and great for star gazing at night. You can see site 2 across the meadow when campers are there - but there is tons of space in the large distance between you. Your site ends where the garden timbers mark the dividing line down the middle of the meadow. Conveniently located off of our long driveway. Just through the 2nd gate, pass Site 2 and your site is the next one on the right. The driveway goes down a bit of a decline into your site. Take a minute and decide where you want to enter, most people think it is no big deal, but we want to be open with you that some hesitate, especially concerning for any low to the ground vehicles (enter at your own risk). Pull in and find a parking spot. Keep in mind that the wildlife pass through this site and you might want to avoid camping right in the trail at the far end of the site, which is closest to the old out building. If you are looking for a more open space, this is it! You can even bring your hammock! Be aware there is poison oak near the road, right next to the road in the beginning of this site, so don't touch it and it won't touch you. Avoid walking through it with open toed shows. Inside your site, you should be fine in most places. Remember, 3 leaves... If you do touch it, immediately wash with Dawn liquid detergent and it should remove the oil before you have any reaction. It is easy to avoid. Just sharing the truth with you. Now, that we allow Instant Booking and you go directly to your site without our greeting you, just feel free to make yourself at home upon arrival. While, we no longer introduce ourselves, we find most people are looking for privacy, so we hope you like this self-guided camping experience and adventure as well. NOTE: Ignore our junk storage areas - we try to keep them all tucked in 2 spots, one is past the porta potty and the other is past Site 5 toward our private gate starting with the old metal roof building that is off limits since a tree fell on it awhile back. Enjoy!
