There is no running water and no shower. We provide fresh five gallon drinking water jugs and a clean private porta potty. There is a sink inside for washing dishes.
The yurt is heated and cooled with a mini split system. We do not provide firewood for the wood stove or firepit. Firewood can be purchased locally in Crouch or Garden Valley. There is interior lighting but no exterior lighting, so bring headlamps or flashlights for nighttime use.
Cooking amenities include a two burner propane stove with cast iron griddle, a private deck with propane grill, and a fully stocked cooking setup including dishes, utensils, spices and olive oil.
The yurt is accessed by a short walk from the parking area and terrain may be uneven, muddy, snowy or icy depending on weather. In winter, AWD or 4WD with winter tires or chains is required.
We live on the property but respect your privacy completely. You will not see us unless you request assistance.
This stay is perfect for hikers, snowshoers, hunters, anglers, skiers, rafters, kayakers, off roaders and guests who want a true wilderness experience with modern comforts.

The 30’ yurt came from Pacific Yurts in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The yurt was erected in 2022 and in 2023 we added all the rooms and beautiful woodwork inside. It is on a Kiln Dried Tongue and Groove decking. Yurts are designed to withstand cold winters and this one is no exception.
Temperature Control:
The decking is insulated underneath to help with the cold winters. When the sun is out on a warm day the yurt will heat up nicely through the dome and can be cooled by opening the windows, the dome, and running the ceiling fan. Also keeping the outside windows up keeps the heat out if you get to hot.
the yurt is equipped with a mini-split w/remoted, allowing personalized temperature control.
Kitchen:
We have everything you need to cook a meal at your home away from home. Refrigerator w/freezer, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, Keurig, and toaster oven. Have all the basics from napkins, plates, silverware, cooking supplies, spices, flour, sugar etc. Don’t feel like cooking then head down to the local bar & restaurant for a nice meal, drink, and meet some locals.
Living Room:

Wonderful camping spot and fantastic hosts. The property was gorgeous and easy to get into with our camp trailer. Electric and water hook ups were easy and made the trip very comfortable. Having a dump location on site was extremely convenient. Ron, the camp host met us when we arrived and helped us get settled and then gave us our privacy. They provided camp fire wood, a very nice fire ring, shuffle board/curling game board, picnic table, and circle swing hammock of sorts. Site was very easily accessible, private, but also close to town. Loved the farm setting - felt like home! Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises over the mountains.

The site was amazing!!! Private, secluded while in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The property bordered a large pasture on one side and the owners property, but had a 6 ft privacy fence that made you feel very separate. The artificial turf was a great touch to keep dirt out of your RV and give you extra outdoor living space. The highlight of the entire site is a full free laundry facility. This made the site a 10/10!!! Dan was also amazing. Very communicative, extremely attentive and offered advice when asked. This was close to downtown Mountain Home but out in the country!! Absolutely perfect!!

The spot here is soooo peaceful and the hosts couldn't have been kinder. The ground works very well for people who have mobility issues. There are not potholes or anything to trip over and a wheelchair can be pushed very easily. We will be back here yearly and so appreciate their support for people with disabilities in our community. On the last night of vacation as we were driving home, an accident closed the 84. Everyone was scrambling to find a place to stay - all rooms, camp sites, trailer parks, etc were full. I remembered we had Hipcamp so did a search, found a place out of town with an opening, did all the on-line applying and paying, found the place in the dark with Ron's excellent directions. We quietly set up our little trailer and went to bed. In the morning we woke up to cool air, birds singing, gorgeous old trees rustling above us, a picnic table, water, electricity, games, all the amenities you would want. After the stress of the day before, the sights, sounds of that beautiful ranch were the perfect antidote to the stressful day before. We had miles to go to get home in time so sadly had to leave FTITM - even though Ron texted us that we were welcome to stay until later. Ron was a great & communicative host. So the last night of our trip, though unplanned, ended up being the loveliest place of all! We will be back just to enjoy!

19 ft pop-up camper
This place is a little slice of heaven - I wish we could have stayed more than one night! Ron and Lisa are so warm and helpful and they have horses, chickens, dogs, and little quail flock running around wild! The view looks like it cannot be real, but it is. The shade is wonderful and I didn't realize that the site has electricity that was perfect for our small popup camper - and access to water and a place to dump sewage. We felt privileged to be able to stay there - what a treat! And there is a porta-potty as well!
