Weekend Trip to YNP & River Basecamp

Hosts were very responsive and communicated very well. We had been given great recommendations for the area to experience the area to its fullest!

5 nights at 1 Minute from Yellowstone

We stayed at the site for a week and loved it! It has a great location: only one mile away from the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park and within walking distance to restaurants & grocery stores. The campsite overlooks the Yellowstone River and has a picnic table with an umbrella and nearby tree for shade. We saw lots’o wildlife in the campsite: mother deer with baby deers, skunk & a bull snake, (not poisonous). Our next door neighbor was very friendly and helped to answer any questions that we had about the area or of the National Park. No Wi-Fi, but we had 4-5 “bars” of 5G via T-Mobile, so we were able stay connected.

2 nights at Yellowstone's Home-Base Hookups

We stayed on Nastasha land on July 6-9. 2025. We loved it , we was in the corral, there was 3 sites . Our first night we was in the dry site and then the other 2 night we was in site 1 which had electric and water. The view is breathtaking and peaceful. We had the corral to ourselves and the prairie dogs. We loved watching them play as well. Natasha was the best hip-camp we have stayed at so far. She was also just a little drive to Yellowstone.

We stayed at site #4, and it was perfect. The views are incredible and the river is steps away. We had a wonderful time and would recommend the Ellison Ranch to everyone!

Awesome spot! We stayed on a site by the creek (#5) and it was lovely hearing it babble all night. The spot also felt very secluded since it was surrounded by trees even though there were a few other sites pretty near by. The bathrooms/showers were clean, ran hot and made our stay even more enjoyable. Would have loved to be there on a night where there was a concert going on next door, will have to come back

2 nights at North Fork Cabin

We really enjoyed our time at Becky’s cabins and loved the privacy and beauty of the place. The listing isn’t very detailed on what’s available at the site but there is a LOT— we were pleasantly surprised by the TWO cozy cabins with wood stoves, a percolator for our morning campfire coffee, and details like lots of extra kindling and TP were really nice too. I had reached out to Becky ahead of time about my parents who hoped to bring their camper up and camp near us as I was unsure if that was allowed. Becky was very nice about it, but she was right— there was no way my parents could get their camper up to the cabin, because there is a drive-through barn with a 10-foot-tall opening that you approach at an angle, and leave on a hill, a little less than a quarter mile from the cabin. There is no driving path around this barn as the whole place is on a very lush section of mountainside and there simply isn’t any other way. They were willing to let us “try” to get through the barn but the camper wouldn’t have made it and anything larger than a teardrop trailer would probably struggle. They very generously allowed my parents to park on the other side of the barn, in a nice flat section of land, which we appreciated greatly! Additional notes: the gravel road leading up from Gardiner is 5 mi and washboard rough, and takes 10-15 minutes, then the final stretch to get to the cabin is about 3/4 mi further than the listed address, so you definitely need Becky’s directions handy! :)

Great spot and great people! We made a mistake on our reservation (100% our fault, the hosts were super clear and great with their information and we didn't read it...) but they were so chill about it and set us up in a spot that was better suited for us at no extra charge - he wouldn't take our money! Pine Creek Lodge next door made for a great evening with some good food, cheap beer, and live music. The bath house was stellar and we loved everything about our stay. We're thinking about adding a few days to our honeymoon so we can swing back through!

Travis' land was a great place to camp for myself and a few friends. Easy access to the River and local entertainment options in Emigrant. The stars were UNBELEIEVABLE.

We have a playground open for use by our guests. Our place is close to shopping, restaurants, and fuel stations. We are also less than a half mile from the Yellowstone River. Nestled on 60 acres you'll find a private campground in a cottonwood grove just across a log bridge over Miner creek. Across the gravel driveway you'll find a second campground that is tucked back in a secluded cottonwood grove, and further down the driveway, you'll find the 3rd campsite. The campgrounds are 5 minutes to the charming historic downtown of Livingston and the Yellowstone River, 20 minutes to Bozeman, 20 mins to Pine Creek Lodge (great outddor concerts!) and an hour to Yellowstone National Park. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are friendly to other dogs. Our dogs freely roam the property. Creekside Oasis/campsite #1 has a picnic table, fire ring, a hammock, solar lighting, a small portable charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) and a shared outhouse. Although you can car camp at # 1, please note that the camper spot is just off the gravel driveway, and not across the creek where the tent site, picnic table and fire pit are located. Campsite #2/"Off the Beaten Path" campsite requires a short 1-2 minute walk on a tight, uneven path through the trees from the parking area. It is a small campsite with a fire ring (bring your own wood), 2 camp chairs and solar lighting. Do NOT rent this tent site if you need to be close to your car. This site is not on the creek. Creek access is down another trail to the left off the parking area. Campsite 3/"Not for the Faint of Heart" campsite is a 2-3 minute walk from the parking spot on an uneven, tight trail through the trees. It has a fire ring (bring your own wood), two camp chairs, solar lighting, and a small portable grill (bring your own charcoal). Do NOT rent this tent site unless you are ready to explore and do not need to be close by your car. Make sure you arrive before dark because although the trail is lit by solar lights even with headlamps it can be tricky to find your way through the trees. The trail is tight and uneven and closed-toed shoes are highly recommended. The creek is not right by the tent site like it is in campsite #1. There is a small break in the bushes that gives creek access. For all sites we recommend storing your food in your vehicle overnight. All sites share a portalet that is located in a common parking area by the trail to camp #2.
