Our Treasure Valley Basecamp

We stayed here for a few weeks while I was working in the area, and we really enjoyed our time here. The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and very quiet, with lots of animals and incredible views of the night sky. There are so many stars at night—you can really appreciate how peaceful it is away from the city.
Jan is an amazing host—very kind, fair, and welcoming. Her family was also incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. We really enjoyed visiting with Jan and spending time around all of the animals.
The RV site had full hookups and 50-amp service, which worked perfectly for us. We had seen a previous review mentioning that the hookups were far away, but we found them to be perfectly fine. They’re simply located toward the rear of the RV, so having longer hoses and electrical connections may be helpful depending on your setup.
There are some great beaches along the river just about 8 minutes away, as well as a nice pond for swimming. We would absolutely love to stay here again when we return to the Boise area. We really appreciated the hospitality, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful setting. Highly recommended!

Quite and beautiful

Jan is a wonderful host with a nice and quiet property. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable. So much so that I extended my stay from 3 to 6 nights.
Oh, and I have a new best friend named Maddy. Photo included.

Jan and her family were some of the most welcoming gracious people I have ever met! I felt so lucky to have stumbled upon her space as it felt like all of them bent over backwards to make me feel at home. Staying with Jan and her family is more than just a place to stay, it’s an experience within itself! Great& beautiful location about 45 mins outside of Boise and 2.5 to the Stanley. I booked the day of and somehow it felt as though she had still somehow planned out everything for me. Could not recommend more, can confidently say this is the only hipcamp experience I’ve had that I cannot wait to return!!

Janis is new to Hipcamp and is figuring it all out. We had full hookups, but the sewer hookup needs to be closer to the pad. It was great she had 50 amp service. We left our door open all night and it was so quiet that we could hear a pin drop.

Great access to nature

Great service. Host is kind and went out of their way to help us get set up in the rain. They have 50amp service and Sewer which was really nice. Bring an extension for the sewer because it is about 12 feet away from the Rv. We road our dirty bikes up the dirt road to Jerusalem valley outlook. Beautiful! Site itself is not serene so much but the amenities and the access are why we will be there again.

Jan was very accommodating and allowed us to cancel after pulling in with temperatures of 109 and an old dog of 15 years old. Needed either 30 amp power or shade. Nice area and a good place to park. Nice swimming hole just down the road

Camping in a beautiful Idaho valley

We loved our stay! Jan was a great communicator and is so lovely and hospitable. She gave us great suggestions for things to do in the area. She also introduced us to her donkey and we visited her son's cows! The site has a concrete slab and easy hookups for everything you need to make your stay super comfortable. We also very much enjoyed the sunset over the hills every night. Would recommend for your trip to Idaho.

Lovely Stay at Gateway RV Spot!

We had a wonderful stay on Jan's land in Horseshoe Bend! Jan was extremely easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. She welcomed us as we pulled in and helped direct us to our spot. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful! Electric, water, and sewer all worked great. We loved feeding some apples to Maddie the Hinny! The location was perfect; about 30 minutes to Boise and easy access to the river. Talking to and getting to know Jan was such a treat. We absolutely recommend and hope to come back!

They were very accommodating to all my needs and went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Beautiful views all around!! Private yet easily accessible to the city. Hookups all in great working order. Loved staying here and will definitely be back!

Amazing Campsite!

This site is amazing. The hosts are extremely friendly, accommodating, and hospitable. The campsite has incredible views of the valley and surrounding hills. It’s such a nice change from campgrounds that are overloaded with other campers. This site was just us and our RV in our own private RV site with full hookups. The location is perfect, river rafting down the road, and close enough to explore Banks and Crouch. The hosts even took us on a tour of their farms and our 2 year old had the best time meeting their cows!! We will definitely be staying here again, incredibly peaceful getaway only 30 mins or so outside of Boise.
