Secluded pond near wineries/ golf
This was a great stopover near Boise with a rural feel - a perfect way to beat the >100 degree heat! The setting was very nice for a camper van, and we were the only campers there for the evening. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the pond. Beware of Google Maps directions, they led us astray into private driveways that were not the HipCamp. The HipCamp is well labeled at the address provided.

We weren’t there long but the little island in the middle of the pond was so cute and we wish we had more time to enjoy! Spot was cute and private

Wonderful time, gorgeous location!
Camping next to the pond was amazing! The surrounding were gorgeous, there were kayaks and floats for the kids to get out and have fun, plenty of shade and Lilly was just the sweetest pooch ever! She really made my kids day. There's a grocery close by and gas station but you'd never know it, feels like your own world down there and the campsites being spaced really far apart adds to the privacy.

Awesome!
This was such a nice secluded place! We loved the pond and stream. It’s very very well taken care of and hosts are awesome. We had a special escort to our spot when we arrived by such a sweet black lab named Lilly. My son loved being able to kayak around the pond. We will Deffinately be back!

We live in Boise & wanted to get away for a few days but not be too far from home - Cagle’s Cove is the perfect place for that! Less than an hour away but feels private & more remote. The pond is awesome & there is a little island deck where you can sit & sunbathe. The 4 campsites are well situated around the pond, plenty of space separating each site & despite two of the other sites being booked the first couple of nights, it in no way felt crowded or as tho we had to interact with the “neighbors” unless we wanted to. One campsite had several young kids & they seemed to have a total blast swimming, kayaking & fishing. Each campsite has a picnic table w/umbrella, fire ring w/easy access to firewood, and there is a community trash bin and porta-potty. Two sites require a bit of maneuvering depending on your setup: IE we couldn’t easily place our camper at the site we originally wanted due to the RV door facing the wrong direction. The site we ended up going with was an easy back in, right next to a creek with a little waterfall (loved falling asleep with the sound of the rushing water). We had some shade from a huge willow tree and didn’t notice a big issue w/bugs despite all the water and heat. As mentioned in several reviews, Lily the Lab was our camp greeter & she checked in on us multiple times during our 3 days - she is a such a sweet bonus to the camp. Beth & Jason also checked in a couple of times and were very helpful & responsive. We’ll be back for sure!
