Surround yourself with nature on nearly 45 acres of secluded mountain land a mile above the South Fork of the Payette River between Banks and Crouch. This private yurt offers a true off grid mountain experience with electricity, Starlink internet, heat, AC, propane cooking and a wood stove for cozy nights. This is not a neighborhood or resort setting. This is real mountain wilderness. If you are looking for a Terrace Lakes style community experience, this is not it. If you are looking for quiet, privacy, stars, wildlife and adventure, you’re in the right place. Sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate up to five guests with one bunk bed and a futon. Bring your own bedding and pillows based on the season. We recommend zero degree sleeping bags in winter and lightweight bedding in summer. Towels are not provided. There is no running water and no shower. We provide fresh five gallon drinking water jugs and a clean private porta potty. There is a sink inside for washing dishes. The yurt is heated and cooled with a mini split system. We do not provide firewood for the wood stove or firepit. Firewood can be purchased locally in Crouch or Garden Valley. There is interior lighting but no exterior lighting, so bring headlamps or flashlights for nighttime use. Cooking amenities include a two burner propane stove with cast iron griddle, a private deck with propane grill, and a fully stocked cooking setup including dishes, utensils, spices and olive oil. The yurt is accessed by a short walk from the parking area and terrain may be uneven, muddy, snowy or icy depending on weather. In winter, AWD or 4WD with winter tires or chains is required. We live on the property but respect your privacy completely. You will not see us unless you request assistance. Secluded Mountain Yurt with Power

We loved staying here! It was so beautiful and peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. The yurt had everything we needed to feel comfortable! The AC and internet were great perks for such a remote spot. Wade provided super helpful instructions and was quick to reply when we had a question. We can’t wait to return!

Secluded Mountain Yurt with Power

We loved the yurt! We are normally tent campers, but with a newly adopted dog and an elderly dog we decided that the yurt was a good alternative this time. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge for a couple of days. It felt private, in and among all the trees. The walk from parking to the yurt was tricky for our old arthritic dog but with a little assistance he was able to make it along just fine. Having the amenities in the yurt of the AC and lighting made it extra comfortable. The stove and fridge made cooking easy. Wade was very responsive and even provided a recommendation for easy river access when we asked in the middle of our stay. We can’t wait to come back again.

Fun Weekend Winter Wonderland

Secluded Mountain Yurt with Power

Our family enjoyed a winter weekend at Wildedge Yurt to celebrate a birthday. The kids had a blast sledding and playing in all the fresh snow on the hills around the yurt. The yurt itself was very clean, warm, and comfortable. The porta potty was also fresh and clean. We parked in spot #2 near the porta potty. It wasn't a very far walk at all to reach the yurt. Basically just down a small slope from the road. Spot #1 is a bit further, about a 5 minute walk. We brought suitcases, totes, and a cooler instead of backpacks. If you go that route, definitely park in spot #2, or at least unload up by the porta potty. Wade was extremely easy to work with and responded to my questions quickly. He also kept in touch with us about snow levels and access. It's beautiful there! It was a weekend full of great memories and our kids are already asking when we can return! One thing to note: There are 2 roads named Timberline Dr. off Banks/Lowman Rd. If you just plug in the address in Apple Maps it'll take you to the first road (coming from Boise), which is not correct. Don't take that one. Instead, follow the written directions Wade sends you and go to the 2nd Timberline Dr. that starts out as Huston Rd. that is just a bit further down Banks/Lowman Rd. Wade plows that road in the winter as it's basically his really long driveway passing by some summer cabins. Enjoy your stay!

Really lovely hurt! It was cozy and quaint with a lot of wonderful amenities. Wade has a gorgeous property with mature, tall trees and the stargazing was incredible. We had a lovely time and would highly recommend!

Disappointed in the "seclusion"

Maybe it is that I grew up in the country be the ability to see 2 house from the deck and hear the neighbors talking in the mornings and evening is not secluded. I was disappointed the yurt did not offer the away from it all that is advertised. After getting past that issue, the Yurt was amazing. Very cute, the area was quiet, and could see the stars. For anyone who grew in in a city, this is definitely away from it all. The amenities were on point, great little heater and A/C unit. Games to help keep guest entertained. A great stay other then the missed expectation

We loved staying here! The yurt was so much cleaner and more stocked up than we ever anticipated! We didn’t notice it in the description but were very excited that it was air conditioned and had a fridge. When we walked in it was set to a wonderful 72 degrees which was perfect as it was very hot outside. Also not mentioned in the description was that there is a frisbee golf course with discs, corn hole set up and other games. We for sure will be back here again!
