We do not provide hook-ups but there is a gas station not far from the ranch that provides clean-outs. We provide excellent clean water and an extension cord. We also provide some of the friendliest cutest animals to visit. This is self-check-in so find your clearly marked site and park. You are on a livestock working ranch with well taken care of animals. We will greet you when we are able do so. We purchased this wonderful 40 acre ranch in our retirement years. We had never done ranching or farming before and wanted a new experience with this gift called life. Being long time hard working Alaskans and living the Alaskan Adventure we could see no reason to be in our golden years and not have another adventure. Our many different animals provide us with entertainment and a purpose. Mini Donkeys asking for a bum rub and braying for breakfast always brings a smile. Alpacas, Llamas and Valais Black Nose Sheep, provides us with beautiful rugs from their own fiber that we sell in the Seven Stars Store. The rest of the hats, gloves, blankets and wonderful socks come from Peru. Mini horses that love to be brushed and even have their hair braided all make for an unusual experience. Lost Moose is a remote campground nestled in the mountains of beautiful North Idaho where outdoor recreation opportunities abound! Before you book a reservation at the Moose, there are a few things you should know. Our hope, and the reason we opened Lost Moose Campground, is that our guests would have a friendly and fun atmosphere away from life's hustle and bustle where everyone has the opportunity to relax, enjoy nature, and explore north Idaho with their family and friends. Our campground is remote and it does take a little more time and effort to get here. While most of our guests repeatedly tell us it's totally worth it and it's just what they were looking for, others have let us know that they would prefer to be closer to the Interstate and the amenities of "civilization." We just want everyone to be happy! So, before you book a reservation, we want you to know a few things about our campground that way you'll know just what to expect when you stay at the Moose! • Lost Moose Campground is located 8 miles south of Interstate 90. Getting here includes 6 miles of gravel road that can be a little bumpy at times throughout the year. • There's no cell service or wifi at the campground. A landline is available for emergencies and cell service can be found often when traveling nearby roads and trails. • Due to our proximity to Latour Creek we do not have sewer hookups or a dump station. All RV Sites are equipped with power and water hookups and toilets and hot showers are available. • The nearest grocery store is approximately 12 miles away, the nearest gas station 11 miles, nearest dump station 11 miles, and the nearest restaurant is about 12 miles away. It takes about 45 minutes to reach Coeur d'Alene or Wallace. • Latour Creek provides a great place for kids and adults alike to cool off in the summer, but it is not suitable for kayaking or floating. The Coeur d'Alene River is only 8 miles away and is well suited for those activities. • Crystal Lake trailhead is approximately 12 miles above the campground and is accessible by car. The Mirror Lake trailhead is also accessed about 12 miles above the campground, but includes a narrow jeep road that isn't suitable for vehicles not designed for off-roading. • The Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail parking area is 8 miles from the campground at the junction of Latour Creek and I-90. • ATV's can be ridden from the campground. There are no formal maps of our area, but we are happy to help give directions and suggestions for great places to ride. SO MANY THINGS TO DO Most of our guests come stay with us to get away in the wild. When you are out and about on the trails, chances are you'll see moose, elk and deer - if you're lucky you may even see a bear! It's a real rarity when we hit the trails and don't see at least one of the above! • IN CAMP Play in the river, do some fishing in the creek, play horseshoes and corn hole, eat ice cream, explore the surrounding area, relax, build a campfire, etc. • FROM CAMP Enjoy access to hundreds of miles of ATV/UTV trails directly from camp. Take off upstream or downstream and fish all day. Huckleberry picking in season only a few miles away! • OUTSIDE CAMP Bike trails, kayaking or floating the river, fishing, water parks, theme parks and area attractions. Fun urban adventures are within an hour of the campground! • SILVER MOUNTAIN Try mountain biking in the region's best lift served bike park, go for a scenic gondola ride, hike to the fire lookout on Kellogg Peak or just settle in for some huckleberry ribs and listen to live music at the mountain house grill. How about a round of mountain golf at Galena Ridge, or grab some pavement bikes from Silver Mountain Sports and hit the 72 mile bike path that runs right by our parking lot. Silver Rapids, Idaho's largest indoor waterpark, takes weather out of the equation by creating a perfect 84 degree, football field-sized location to splash, swim and surf on the perfect wave! The sky is the limit at Silver Mountain! • THINGS TO DO IN COEUR D'ALENE There’s something for everyone in Coeur d’Alene. Area activities and attractions range from the free and family-friendly to thrilling outdoor adventures—and just about everything in-between. Summer in Coeur d’Alene is filled with epic attractions! Parasail rides, zip-lining, boating, float planes and of course the northwest’s largest theme park! Winter brings lit-up streets, dinner boat cruises, miles and miles of ski runs, warm indoor water parks and plenty of warm food and hot music acts. • OLD MISSION STATE PARK Coeur d' Alene's Old Mission State Park contains the oldest building in Idaho. The Mission of the Sacred Heart was constructed between 1850 and 1853. It is also the headquarters for the 72 mile paved rails to trails bike path that goes from Mullan to Plummer, passing through several historic towns and meandering along the river. Triple M Camp is an 18-acre summer camp property with cabins, dining hall and commercial kitchen, located on Upper Twin Lake, ID. There are 6 cabins, situated conveniently between the cabins is the restroom with 6 showers, sinks and toilets, 3 per gender. The Pavilion, a large covered concrete area, is a short walk from the restrooms. Behind the cabins are two large grass fields. Between them is a firepit with raised benches and another firepit with a stage and seating. Next to the firepits and field is a large play structure and rock-climbing wall. Past the fields are walking/snowshoeing trails and camp sites. The camp is not directly on the lake, but above it for stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Across Twin Lakes Road and down an inclined dirt path is the 250ft sandy beach. Bring a kayak or boat to explore the shores on the opposite side of the upper lake or venture through the shallow canal to the lower lake for more boating opportunities. Apologetically, the docks are unavailable for mooring water toys. There are many other activities nearby Twin Lakes. Just down the road is the Twin Lakes Village Golf Course. The popular tourist town Coeur d’ Alene, ID and Silverwood Theme Park are 30 minutes away. Not to mention several other lakes within 30 minutes.

This property fronts Kelso Lake, which is a motorboat free 55 acre lake located half way between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, just a 15 minute drive to Silverwood Theme Park. This is the ideal spot to spend time kayaking, catching up around the campfire, fishing, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. If you keep your eyes peeled you may see blue heron’s, bald eagles, and if your quiet the beaver may swim past and say hello! This property is a half acre at the edge of the Kelso Lake community. This property is ideally located less than a 20 min drive to Farragut State Park, Lake Pend Oreille, Bayview, and Silverwood Theme Park. If you are trailer camping you will have to back in from the public roadway up an incline to access the spot. If you aren't comfortable backing your trailer in this spot might not be for you. We also welcome tent and van campers! There is a fire ring, a picnic table, tiki bar, decks, chairs, and an outhouse. There is a trail down to the dock where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards or canoes. New this season, 4 kayaks included with your stay!! The property is situated on the end of the lake with lily pads and beaver dens…. its beautiful but not the best swimming spot! If you want to take a dip in the lake the public boat launch is less than a half mile down the road! Green Bluff has so much to offer especially in the summer when you can go to several farms to pick fruits and vegetables, visit wineries, breweries, small businesses, and restaurants all within just a few minutes from our farm. Siemers Farm is located just 1/2 mile from us and they have pizza and salads available and Big Barn Brewery typically has food trucks and live music each weekend and they are about 3 miles away.

I'm a 3rd generation farmer, working the same land as my father and grandfather. Hidden Acres Orchards is a 60 acre, u-pick fruit, vegetable, and flower farm. Camp within the luscious fruit tree rows, in the middle of a vibrant pumpkin patch or even in the petting zoo! Animals welcome! IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. There are tractors running, sprayers making applications, farm animals loudly enjoying life, day customers picking fruit, and farmers about early in the morning. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED. ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, there are no designated spots. Let your creativity shine and choose as dope a spot as you like! If you're scared of driving off a paved road or frightened by the natural world we suggest glamping at another lovely Green Bluff location. Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow. Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads. July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS.

Easy access from I 90 but not nearly close enough to hear it. Campsite sits 500-600 feet off a county road with a easy driveway and plenty of turn around space. It's a basically level area with several options for how to park. Large pine trees provide shade but let plenty of light through. There is filtered road noise, but the crickets and coyotes are the main thing you'll hear at night.

Nice quiet property with paved road all the way to it. We have large parking areas and two great RV sized spots. Diesel pusher to tent... We can accommodate. This is primitive camping. There are no hook-ups so it is dry camping. You can run your generator. Central fire pit and camp fires welcome when there are no fire restrictions. You can walk or ride 1.5 miles to the water or drive 10 miles to the public beach on beautiful Hayden lake. 10 miles to town and all paved. No trespassing signs are for anyone not renting the space... not for you :)

*** Voted BEST Hipcamp in Idaho 2022 and 2024, and 2nd BEST in 2023 *** Like a postcard photograph, Bigfoot Campout is perched up about 50 feet over Mirror Lake, sitting in a mountain bowl on one end of the lake. Campers will have gorgeous views and sunsets over the lake. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, hiking and wildlife watching abound. The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) & Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive). The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all nine Sasquatch throughout the campground? Some are hidden, others are in plain sight! Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day. Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee). Fishing off of the campground dock is also a possibility but beware that lily pads are prevalent. Please obey all of the camp rules which are listed on the laminated brochure at the campground entrance. The most important campground rule is leaving the campground just as you found it. This means packing out all trash to prevent wildlife from visiting our campground! A bit of history... In 2021, the campsites were graveled and graded, each with their own picnic table and fire pit. A mulch tent pad was added to Campsites C & D. An on-site portable toilet was also installed at this time. In 2022, 50-30-20-Amp electric pedestals for camper and RV use were installed in campsites B and C/D. (Electric fee may apply -- please ask Host.) Also, a sand tent pad was installed in campsite F. In 2023 a brand-new 70' elevated nature-walk & dock were installed on the lakefront. In campsite E, a mulch tent pad was installed. Also, an interactive "Enchanted Forest" was added to the campground, which lights up a night to reveal all of the woodland creatures that live there! (Kids love this!) In 2024, a small lakefront cabin was added down by the dock at Campsite A. An "Amenities Shed" full of several camping games like horseshoes, bocce, and corn hole was also added by the Port-A-Potty. In 2025, a well & pump will be installed, allowing campers to fill up with potable water within steps of each campsite. Also, a new grass beach will be created by the dock, which will be great for picnicking. As the host for this campground, I do not live on-site. You may reach me anytime before, during, or after your stay via phone, text or Hipcamp messenger. I almost always respond within a few minutes. Detailed directions, and camp information will be sent to every booked guest 48 hours prior to their arrival. When selecting your campsite, please take note of the following: Best lake views: Campsite A, C and D. (Campsites E & F have limited lake views) Easiest RV access: Campsite B. Most private: Campsite B or Campsites E & F when booked together. Most shade: Campsites E & F. Sunniest: Campsite B. Electric access: Campsites B, C & D. (C & D share a power pedestal.) Nearest to Port-a-Potty: Campsite E. Nearest to lake: Campsite A. My home is a large A frame that has been added onto in three different directions, hence the name Hodge Podge Lodge. Learn more about this land: Grassy lane to put your camping vehicle on. Updated: April 2024. We live on a pretty farm outside of town on a mountain. Our reservations are by request only. If you're new to Hipcamp (just signed up/no reviews/never been on a trip), please tell us something about you and why you'd like to stay at our farm. We open for the season Memorial day weekend. Un-fun part: We are unable to accommodate pets. No check-ins after dark. No motorcycles and nothing with a generator. It's very quiet here at night. We think you'll really enjoy your stay here, and we can't wait to meet you!
