The lake has a great beach front for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. There's a boat launch 3 miles away for bigger boats or pontoons. Our property also provides direct access to hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, horse trail riding, biking, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling.
Trail riding is available for ages 14 & up. Trail rides are only conducted by appointments in advance. If you are not comfortable riding a trail ride, we offer riding lessons and you can still interact with the horses by feeding, petting, grooming, learning horsemanship skills, riding in a controlled round pen or arena. No matter what you do you will be happy with your horse experience. Oh, don't forget the Nigerian Dwarf goats. They love people too.

Forest, meadow, and a delicious mountain range view....this property feels secluded with one residence besides ours in view, yet is only a few hundred yards off of Hwy 93. Easily accessible whether you're a cycler or RVer. Our acreage is smack dab on an elk route from water to the hills, so when they are using this route, we see them every few days. Deer, coyotes, eagles, hawks and owls are frequent guests, with occasional drop-ins by wolves, moose, and bears.
We are mid-build on our home and have a lively family and dog. The two RV spots are about 25 yards from our house, so be aware we will all be sharing the space, to a degree. There is plenty of space for your dog(s) to run. We should communicate to let our dogs meet, but if they get along, no leashes needed. Many summer nights we host bonfires and music, but we're not too wild; things will quiet down around 11 p.m. Water and electric are solid; wifi from the house may reach you. Black and gray water dumping is available for a fee.
We are mere minutes from many local lakes, 25 minutes from the Canadian border, 12 minutes from Eureka, 2 minutes to a gas station, 45 minutes from Whitefish, and about 70 minutes from the West Entrance to Glacier National Park.

This is a wild and exposed setting on steeper grass/dirt driveway(0-13degree grade) that best suits smaller RV's/Campers, all Overlanders, ATV's, and in general those with four-wheel/AWD ability. This is an adventurous site on the Kootenai River with a marked trail, tall pines, and steep rock scrambles to the water where the fish often bite. There are 2 numbered campsites, both yours to use with your booking. Additionally there is an outhouse toilet and two fire rings.
The lower scenic space is good for one rig, and the upper space will hold a few rigs if that is needed. There is cell service for most carriers if you need it, but NO other utilities are present on-site, other than the toilet. There is potable water and black/gray dump available in town, and the Moyie Store is only a couple of miles away.
Turn right at the white vinyl fence just after 86 Tall Timber Rd. The white fence in the photo's is only a few feet off of the paved road. Drive 900ft down the grass/dirt driveway to the landing area and enjoy! See photo’s for more guidance.
Follow the white and blue hiking emblems to get you to the scramble to the river. Only scramble to the river if you have experience bouldering. There is about 200ft of Class 3 steepness when considering the 5 classes on the Yosemite Decimal ratings scale. Flat landers do not typically enjoy the scramble but may enjoy the hiking loop.
Please do not burn any of the logs that are used as guides along the hiking trails. Campfires are usually allowed, but there are local fire regulations at the Idaho Department of Lands website. Be safe, follow the daily fire rules.

We built the Cabin with the intention of doing things differently and because we believe we’ve succeeded in this concept, finding the words to define it has been a challenge. It’s somewhere between guest lodge and summer camp.
When you come here, you have to expect that you’ll also be doing things differently. Like preparing your food over the outdoor fire or the outdoor cook stove, and heating water to wash the enamel plates in a basin after your meal. And in learning how to use the composting toilet (don’t worry, it’s in a room of its own off the front porch!). Instead of a shower, you’ll have a forest sauna and a dip in the creek. Bring your ice chest and your favorite camp cooking meals. You can find details on exactly what is provided below.
The single room has handcrafted custom everything from the queen sized bed to the built in counter. Outfitted with a blend of vintage treasures and thoughtfully sourced high quality pieces like the tiny wood stove with a glowing glass front and the organic linens inviting you in.
This is a space for you to soak in nature and connect over the campfire, or across the board game by the light of candles. When the sky is clear you’ll be able to stargaze from bed and when you wake you’ll be greeted by ducks on the pond and a ceramic mug waiting for it’s French pressed coffee. Slip on your boots and your coziest sweater for a walk down the driveway. Reconnect to the simplicity that is possible in this life.
Due to the rural location, you have access to hiking trails, lakes, ponds, and rivers literally within walking distance. Relax, go for a run, hike into the mountains, swim, whatever suits your fancy. This is a relatively secluded location. The cabin is within seeing distance to our main house where we live, and you'll also see another occupied cabin to the right of the pond (our friendly neighbors). Below is the latest updates on visiting thee Park in 2025. Not mentioned below is that the use of shuttles proved veery popular with our guests last year, but nobody had problems booking the night before.
Glacier National Park announces timed entry vehicle reservation pilot for 2025
WEST GLACIER, Mont. [November 7, 2024] – Glacier National Park will once again implement a pilot vehicle reservation system in 2025, from June 13 to September 28, 2025, for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors can begin making advance reservations on February 12, 2025. Reservations will be required from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. As in previous years, visitors may enter reservation areas without a reservation before or after reservation hours.
New in 2025, the park will be piloting timed entry reservations for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors will enter the park according to the time block they have reserved and can remain in the park for as long as they like on the day of their reservation. Visitors who miss their reserved time block can enter after 3 p.m. Multiple time blocks will be available between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Additional information regarding time blocks will be announced in a separate press release.
“In 2025 we are continuing successful measures from the 2024 season, including access to Apgar Village, Two Medicine, and the East Entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road outside of the vehicle reservation system. Within that successful framework we are going to try timed entry to see if we can minimize congestion, optimize visitor arrival, and improve visitor experiences,” said Glacier National Park Superintendent Dave Roemer. “Timed entry has proven to be a valuable tool in other popular national parks and should reduce congestion and wait times at the West Entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road.”
West Entrance
One timed entry reservation per vehicle will be required to travel Going-to-the-Sun Road beyond the Apgar Village area from June 13 through September 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can enter before 7 a.m. or after 3 p.m. without a vehicle reservation. Like previous years, visitors with lodging, camping, transportation, or commercial activity reservations can access their intended service within the Going-to-the-Sun Road reservation area with proof of their reservation. Only commercial reservations that originate beyond the Apgar vehicle reservation checkpoint and west of Logan Pass will provide entry in place of a vehicle reservation.
As a reminder, lodging, camping (including Fish Creek and Apgar campgrounds), and commercial activity reservations originating in Apgar will not provide access beyond the Apgar vehicle reservation check point.
North Fork
One timed entry reservation per vehicle will be required at the Polebridge entrance station June 13 through September 28, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can enter before 7 a.m. or after 3 p.m. without a vehicle reservation. A reservation is not required to access the community of Polebridge which is located outside the park entrance.
Two Medicine Valley and St. Mary
As in 2024, vehicle reservations will not be required to enter Two Medicine Valley or the St. Mary entrance to Going-to-the-Sun Road in 2025. Entry may be temporarily restricted at certain times of day (typically between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.) when areas become too congested. Visitors with service reservations (e.g., boat tours, lodging, horseback ride, guided hikes) in these areas will be permitted entry during temporary restrictions.
Many Glacier Valley
As the park has previously announced, the Swiftcurrent area of Many Glacier Valley will be closed to public access during the summer of 2025 due to ongoing construction. The closure will greatly reduce the amount of available parking in Many Glacier Valley. The park is currently researching access alternatives for the valley in 2025. More information about 2025 visitor access options will be announced in a separate news release.
Vehicle reservations and entrance passes
Vehicle reservations will only be available on Recreation.gov, the Recreation.gov mobile app, or through the Recreation.gov Call Center (Reservation Line: 877-444-6777). Each of the specified areas of the park will require a separate reservation. Visitors will need to set up an account on Recreation.gov to obtain reservations. The only cost associated with booking a reservation is a $2 Recreation.gov processing fee.
Vehicle reservations will be available through two booking windows.
· A portion of reservations will be available 120 days or approximately four months in advance, starting on February 12, 2025, at 8 a.m. MST on a rolling basis on Recreation.gov.
· The remaining vehicle reservations will be available at 7 p.m. MDT for next-day entry starting on June 12, 2025.
In addition to a vehicle reservation, each vehicle entering the park is required to have an entrance pass for any entry point into the park. These passes could include any of the following: a $35 vehicle pass, good for seven days; a valid Interagency Annual/Lifetime Pass; or a Glacier National Park Annual Pass. A vehicle reservation does not include an entrance pass, and the park entrance pass does not serve as a vehicle reservation.
Pursuant to the American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978, vehicle reservations are not required for tribal members throughout the park.
Visitors are encouraged to check the park website frequently for updates and additional information.

We do have water fill and dump station available for self contained campers/vans. AND 1 cozy comfortable off grid cabin. Only 2 miles from town of Troy, MT. No fires or children allowed. Pets on leash at all times. Pack it in/Pack it out. Hiking into attached National Forest Land has spectacular views for experienced forest hikers only.

5 nights at The Okaan
We loved staying at the okaan! It's pretty much remote, which we enjoyed. The sauna was so nice after the few cold and rainy days we had. There are 2 park entrances on the road within an hour from the camp, which was great, we didn't have to wait in line once. Linda was an amazing caretaker of the camp, and was super helpful!

1 night at Glamping tents near Polebridge
We loved our experience! Highly recommend staying at Cut Throat tents. Toilet, shower with hot water, and fire pits available. Comfortable bed with plenty of blankets to stay warm. And a very cute dog named Winston on the property. Close drive to Polebridge. Many hikes nearby. Would stay again when in the area.

At Home Ranch Bottoms, leave your expectations at the door because you truly do not know how special this place is until you experience it first-hand. The attraction here is not a pristine private site. It's the community that fully envelops you as you walk through the door. You'll spend your nights at the bar or the outdoor seating, congregating with anyone and everyone, hearing some incredible live music, and watching how the community of Polebridge and its visitors blend into one little family, even if just for a night. Absolutely incredible experience, they haven't seen the last of me yet!

Ryan was an excellent camp host! The grounds are without a doubt scenic and well cared for. What a treat to have hot showers, access to a kitchen and refrigeration. Nothing beats waking up next to Stillwater and hearing the loons call out over the lake. On our last day we got super lucky when paddling over to the islands, and saw a bear swimming across the lake. We also fell in love with cheeseburger, the camp cat. What a wonderful vacation 🫶🏻 Wouldn’t change a thing- thank you for a beautiful weekend Ryan!!

Ryan was very nice. We were very fortunate and nobody else was on the property so he directed us to a great spot by the lake. We heard the train at night one time, but other than that is was very peaceful.

This is a great place to stay near Polebridge. Very easy to get back and forth as the road is mostly paved between Home Ranch and Polebridge. The woman at the bar was a wealth of information, and she had good maps and even a river guide. They had great music by Accordion Bob one afternoon on their stage. We had a very good burger for lunch. Bathroom was very clean. I would definitely stay here again when up the North Fork of the Flathead.

The Bicycle station has been the highlight of our event so far! Siri and Chris were the best hosts. The place was so comfortable and welcoming. We didn’t want to leave!
Great shower, quiet, great common area to relax. We debated staying in the Eureka city park. This was 100% worth the extra few miles. Take tabacco road out of Eureka and you are off the highway. A must stay on the GDMBR!

We loved staying here, perfect place for absolute silence. 50amp, 30amp and regular household plug ins were really nice and a fire pit right beside the site made for some quiet nights relaxing,
Can’t express enough how quiet and secluded it is, We felt very safe despite being city folk not used to the deep woods.
Directions were accurate and easy, we will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Glamping tents near Polebridge
The land is beautiful, the tents are relatively private, but within earshot of each other and the host's house. Tent was clean and comfortable. It's like 10 minutes to glacier national park and even less to Polebridge, which has an amazing little mercantile with a phenomenal bakery, gear/vehicle rental, and some basic supplies available.
