This is a wild and exposed setting on a steep grass/dirt driveway that best suits Overland and Truck Camper type all terrain vehicles. This is an adventurous site on the Kootenai River with tall pines, and steep rock scrambles to the water where the fish often bite. There are 2 area’s present marked with room for more if your group is larger. Additionally there is an outhouse toilet and two fire rings. The lower scenic space is good for one rig, and the upper space will hold a few rigs if that is needed. All-wheel/four-wheel drive recommended. There is cell service for most carriers if you need it, but NO other utilities are present on-site. There is potable water and black/gray dump available in town. Turn right at the white vinyl fence just after 86 Tall Timber Rd. The white fence in the photo's is only a few feet off of the paved road. Drive 1000ft down the grass driveway to the landing area and enjoy! See photo’s for more guidance. Please do not burn any of the logs that are used as guides along the hiking trails. Please be mindful of orange survey markers/ribbons at the boundaries in respect of the neighbors and strict fire safety. The OnX App and local GIS also provide the satellite boundaries if needed. Mountainous River Camp
Location and scenery on Travis’s land was spectacular! Got some great pictures of the surrounding mountains. Go slow going down the hill on your way in as it’s a bit steep. Had the whole place to ourselves and would recommend this spot to anyone.

Fun river scramble and great wildlife! Will return with fishing pole and better hiking boots. Also looking forward to enjoying the swimming hole.

When you head to the site make sure you slow down and pay attention to the white fence and turn right at it, DONT pass the white fence because its an adventure lol. Travis was very nice and helpful. Get information before going, We have the site to ourselves, loving views, very clean toliet. We were there for just one night. Thank you Travis,

This wild Kootenai River site is an adventure lover’s dream. With fantastic fishing right off the rocky bank, and two separate, private fire-ring areas, it’s a rugged, authentic experience. A well-situated outhouse adds convenience to this "rough-it" oasis. Travis was great to work with, always quick to answer any questions.
