Campers will have gorgeous views and sunsets over the lake. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, hiking and wildlife watching abound. The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive). The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing. Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground? Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day. Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee). When selecting your campsite, please take note of the following: Best lake views: Sites A, C and D. (Sites 1, 2, 3, E and F have partially obstructed lake views due to trees.) Danny has hiked the majority of them in the area and is always up to help plan and recommend local hikes. Furthermore, we are nearby and centralized to many must-see places. As stated, Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park (including their gun range) are all located ten minutes or less from our property. Other places to see include Bayview, Idaho and Sandpoint, Idaho - both situated on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille. Things to note: -Your site will be fully stocked to meet your camping needs! This includes a picnic table, a smokeless fire pit, fire starting materials, and a pad or pads to accommodate your tent(s). -Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase. -Our campground has a fully functioning outhouse that we take great pride in maintaining to ensure cleanliness and a pleasant experience. It may just be the biggest outhouse you’ve ever seen! -Our campground now has potable water! Near the firewood stand you will find a spigot that can be used for your camping needs. Your site will have a large six gallon container of non-potable water to be used in the case of a fire emergency (if safe to do so). -Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash. Please pick up after your pet. -Tessa and Danny were both born and raised in Northern Idaho. Beautiful waterfront property on Deer Lake with 20 acres and a year round creek. Borders a wildlife preserve and state timberland as well as Deer Lake wetlands. This property has secondary access to deer lake resort for a day fee with a public swimming area and store. Mosquitoes can be active at times seasonally so plan accordingly. ON the lake near the wetlands with seemingly endless hiking, biking, walking and exploring with a true serene nature experience. Expect turtles to walk through the site during the summer while they choose nesting spots on my property. There are wild strawberries and raspberries all over. I recommend downloading On X so you can see the boundaries of the property and explore the 20 acres. The wetlands are included in this property.

Our property is located on 7 forested acres a few miles from Sandpoint. We have a few different houses on the property where parts of my family live. There are 3 rental spots that are all creek side and next to each other. You can wade in the shallow creek, swim in the pond, enjoy a walk up the road or camp area and just enjoy your camp spot surrounded by the forest and creek. There are also many trails and adventures within a 15 min drive of the property. Please note there are no restroom facilities. Campers are required to bring their own toilet setup. We have a few dogs that live on property and like to come say hi to the campers and play fetch. The dogs are all friendly, but we ask that any guests bringing their own dogs please keep them on a leash as we do not know how they would all interact each other or local wildlife. We have Canadian geese that visit, some mallard ducks that visit the creek right behalong with a plethora of robins, wild turkeys, quail, doves and the occasional blue heron navigating from the ponds below us to Reflection lake above us. Along with our small herd of Highlander cows you will also often see white tailed deer, possibly the resident marmot and in a rare summer appearance a moose. Enjoy the soothing sounds of nearby creeks, fresh forest air, and plenty of space to relax. The site is well-suited for tents, RVs, and campers, offering a simple and laid-back camping experience with a focus on privacy and natural surroundings. Outdoor lovers will appreciate easy access to nearby hiking, fishing, and exploring opportunities, with scenic landscapes all around. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape or a longer stay, Twin Creeks provides a calm base camp for adventure or relaxation. This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

BLUE LAKE RV RESORT Your favorite North Idaho destination. Conveniently located in the heart of North Idaho, 22 miles north of Sandpoint and 5 miles south of Bonners Ferry. From our lake to nearby trails and waterfalls, outdoor activities abound. When entering the park, please watch for trains. There are no crossing arms. COMING FROM THE SOUTH? When you get here, go past our driveway, there is a semi-truck turnaround just 1/4 mile north of us. The approach from the north is much easier than trying to cross traffic coming from the south. Open woods with plenty of walking areas, including country roads. One mile from the grocery, library, restaurant, churches, and a park that is next to the Pend Oreille River. Three barking Livestock Guard dogs. We have goats and chickens. I’ll keep the dogs in the house if you book before 6 p.m. Any bookings after 8 p.m. might have to park by Witt’s End sign and endure the dogs barking. Quiet hours are between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Camp trailer for rent or Tipi. Plenty of tent sites. Boon docking. Supply your own water and toilet. No using the woods for relieving yourself. There is a composting toilet outhouse. Please keep the door shut. RV sites, too. Must be self-contained. Absolutely NO campfires except by the host if there is no ban.

This was the absolute perfect spot! The Honey Hive spot in particular is tucked back in the trees In just the right way, giving you a nice amount of privacy. Extremely well built picnic table and super neat smokeless fire pit! We had such a blast, stayed two nights and went to Silverwood’s Scarywood event which is less than ten minutes down the road. This spot I would imagine would be amazing in the summertime too as it would probably give you an healthy amount of shade from the surrounding trees. All around 10/10 thanks so much for everything! 🙂

Easy in and out, and you'll have use of the patio and gazebo and seasonal use of the fireplace.

This is a great spot to camp if you are near Sandpoint. The owners have gone above and beyond to make it comfortable. It is clean, there is a water spigot, picnic tables, fire pit and wood available. We were the only ones there so it was very private but even if the second site was occupied it would be good. Bonus for the wild turkey crossing on the way out!

We took a camper van to this site and had a great experience. The “creek side” site (site #1) was picturesque and felt relatively secluded, even though there are two other sites on property. The group fire ring was a great touch, and Steve keeps it stocked with dry wood, kindling and a cooking grate. Site was level and we slept great. Excellent access to Sandpoint and outdoor adventure.
