Stunning views. Full moon. Sun rise. Lake. To d of wildlife. Everything we wanted for our anniversary weekend. Very private. Plenty of room for our 35 ft trailer. Backed up the hill from the gate with no problems.

Peaceful retreat away from the commotion of a busy 4th of July weekend. Mosquitos where an expected nuisance this time of year, but everything was as advertised and the host was responsive to inquiries.

We enjoyed our time camping here! The views of the Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge and Deer Lake were great. Our doggies enjoyed exploring. We did do a trip to Deer Lake Resort for swimming as they have day passes available. Do bring bug repellent as the proximity to the marsh and lake bring quite a few mosquitoes but it was manageable.

Host Michael was very friendly and helpful texting. The road by the lake to the site is very narrow especially pulling an RV, so go slow! Rv peeps be aware! We pulled up the hill and through the gate with our big GMC 3500 and down into the site with our 22 ft trailer and couldn’t turn around. We had to back out down hill and turn around at the bottom and back quite a ways up hill into the site. Back up the hill with a trailer is a must!! Overall our experience was very good and would come back. Great views and lots of wildlife viewing. The site is also very private. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent .Plenty of room for multiple tents. Two trailers with big trucks would be pushing it.

This location felt private and we enjoyed our time. The well was ice cold and was very accommodating to keep the kids and pup cool. We appreciate the open space to accommodate activities. We recommend a canopy or some form of sun protections aside from sunscreen and tick repellant if in season.

The good: nice view, EXCELLENT birding and super friendly host who was responsive and helpful for a reasonable price. Not much traffic or activity and good shade.
The neutral: We were under prepared for how aggressive the mosquitos could be for the dog so we did not stay the night.
I would recommend as long as you are more prepared for being so close to wetlands for your whole party/all hours :)

We loved this camping spot, it felt secluded and the view was gorgeous. We had some troubles finding the spot and Michael was so helpful and friendly in helping with directions or whatever questions we had! Our dogs loved this spot and had lots of fun running around! Definitely would recommend and will be coming back!

Beautiful view and quiet. The host, Michael was very easy to communicate with. Site seemed very private for not being very far off the road. We did back our trailer quite a distance as the site doesn’t have enough room to turn our truck and trailer around.

Mountain paradise
A nice spot above a beautiful lake. Relatively quiet, with plenty of room to spread out. Michael was quick to answer any questions. The campsite is at the end of the lake where the stream runs in, so the mosquitos can be rather active at dawn and dusk, but bearable.

My girlfriend, me and our dog had an amazing two nights camping here. There is plenty of space to set up a tent of any size and there is also a water supply right on the campsite that came in very handy when needing to rinse of hands or dishes and getting our dog some water. The view from the campsite is gorgeous with tons of wildlife. Deer Lake Resort is also just a very short drive down the road to get anything extra that you might need or have forgotten for your trip. We will definitely be back in the future!
