Umpqua’s Last Resort is nestled along the North Umpqua River in the Umpqua National Forest. This region of the Oregon Cascade Mountains is commonly referred to as “Oregon’s Emerald-Jewel Gateway” to Crater Lake National Park. Spectacular marble river views, volcanic formations, thundering waters, and towering firs are just the beginning… the North Umpqua River is World Class! Site 17 has water, power, fire pit and picnic table, a gravel pad for parking RV's and cars, and a mulched and shady area for a tent. Tents are not permitted on the grass. The site accommodates ONE tent up to 12x18' or a small RV/ camper van. We also have larger RV sites with hook ups for an additional fee please check our other listings. There is a bathroom house centrally located in the middle of the park. We offer flushing toilets, tiled showers with hot and cold running water in the bathroom house. The North Umpqua River is located directly across the street with access just across the road. We have a swimming hole shaded in the trees. We also have Flo Level 2 EV Chargers on site.

It is set up in a space ready for you to arrive and experience camping from the glory days of the Great American Road Trip! Inside the 1950s theme continues with a small but functional kitchen equipped with matching period kitchen appliances and color-coordinated dishes and utensils. The booth dinette is matching colors and can be converted into a small bed. There is a compact bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The queen bed has a matching duvet . Custom built by us, with 2 loft bedrooms, a full kitchen, a spa-inspired bathroom, and amazing views. This luxury retreat is a Tiny home dream. This handcrafted cedar wood home is finished with lots of high-end touches. There are many windows to let in light and glimpse the forest and mountains through. Enjoy preparing food in the galley-style kitchen where everything you need is within reach. The large dining area has picture windows and a door to the private rear deck. Get refreshed in the spa-inspired bathroom that features a rainfall ‘walk-in’ shower, a blue glass vessel sink, and unique tile and stone decor. The water is from the on-property spring, enjoy an endless supply of hot and cold sparkling mountain water. There are 2 lofts with queen beds. The master has access to the knotty pine staircase and has a privacy wall. The second loft also features a queen bed with ladder access. The private rear deck has a large charcoal grill and a large patio space with a firepit to enjoy the long summer evenings. This accommodation is NOT pet friendly.

It is our only pet-friendly accommodation with a private bathroom, offering convenience without sacrificing rustic charm. A perfect choice for couples or solo travelers looking for an ideal spot to unwind after a day of exploring the Umpqua. Amenities include luxury linens and blankets, towels, microwave, hot plate, fridge, coffee maker, shower and bathroom. This is our 28ft Retro Bunkhouse Camper. It has a full kitchen with Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, 4 burner stove, Oven, Coffee Maker, cups, plates, etc. There is a queen bed in the bedroom with plenty of storage. Complete with linens, pillows, and bath towels. The main room features a dinette that converts to a bed as well as two single bunks. The views from the main room are of the Umpqua National Forest. Enjoy outside living with the loungers, cedar wood picnic table, bistro set, and charcoal BBQ grill.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Umpqua National Forest Resort Campground I had an excellent stay at the Umpqua National Forest Resort Campground. The location is one of its strongest features—it's perfectly situated near some of the most beautiful and iconic spots in the area. Within a short drive, you can visit Watson Falls, Toketee Falls, and the incredible Umpqua Hot Springs. Having such easy access to these destinations made the experience even more enjoyable and convenient. The campground itself is well maintained, peaceful, and offers a great balance of comfort while still being immersed in nature. The cabins and facilities were clean, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to relax after a full day of exploring. One improvement I would recommend is creating a more clearly designated and easier-to-follow path to the bathhouse, especially at night. Additionally, it would be great if the exterior lights around the cabins and common facilities were dimmed or turned off earlier in the evening. The bright lights stayed on late into the night, which made stargazing difficult. Given how incredible the night sky is in this area, preserving that dark-sky experience would make the stay even more special. Overall, this is an outstanding campground in an unbeatable location. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Umpqua National Forest.

I had a really comfortable stay at Umpqua’s Last Resort. The grounds were pleasant, clean, and well-kept, and the staff was fantastic—super friendly, helpful, and informative. A great spot to relax and enjoy the area. Would definitely stay again!

Great place. I used the cabin to stay warm in the cold November time. Amazing host - explained and had an excellent map to catch all the waterfalls and mile markers. The site is great - extremely close to bathrooms and shower which are super warm inside and water. Small little cabin for the night but has loads of extras. Microwave and little fridge as needed.

I have no notes - Umquilla's Last Resort checked all my boxes at every step: my dog and I loved it. Our cute mini-cabin had energy-efficient heat, microwave, and fridge allowing more food diversity than I usually get on my annual Thanksgiving trip. The bed was comfortable and as a single traveler with a dog: the bunk bed gave us a lot of extra room to stretch out. The showers, restrooms, and dish washing area were spotless and warm. The staff was happy, kind, and showed visible support for LGTBQIA+ travelers. My dog loved that we could hike in the national forest without getting in the car which conveniently could charge via the EV charging station in the campgrounds. I mostly explored between the campsite and I-5 due to there being a charger at the campground and dozens of options in Roseberg (or on my trip in via I-5 South a good high-speed charger in Sutherlin.) Self-service paid internet access (24h, 72h, and 5 day options) provided suitable bandwidth for unexpected video calls and web browsing. It was all perfect, worked well, easy to spot from the road, and in a beautiful region with lots of activities. A true oasis for travelers just an hour east of I-5.

King Cabin 15
I absolutely loved staying here in my deluxe cabin! It was the perfect personal retreat I needed, the cabin was super clean and cozy, nice fluffy bath towels and the Wolfgang Puck coffee pods were a treat! The park was quiet and at night I could hear the river from my cabin, there is a nice trail down to the river and I was able to spend time by the river in the evening. The location is so close to many waterfalls! Toby and Dustin are super nice hosts! The shared restrooms were clean and the showers hot! I loved the small trails to wander on next to the park. I cant wait to return as this will be my place to stay this coming year, thank you for providing such a nice place to have a get away from the world! My only request would be to allow for a late check out if needed but I ended up leaving early to see more waterfalls!

Best campground we stayed at on our entire trip through the Pacific NW! Host met us immediately upon our arrival with clear directions and recommendations for exploring the area. Showers/restrooms were super clean and well maintained. Grounds are beautiful and the campground is thoughtfully laid out giving each site privacy and easy access to ammenities.

This campground was perfect. We booked very last minute. We arrived after hours and easy set-up. The host was easy to communicate with even after hours. Very clean! The bathhouse was clean and heated. Nice rain head showers with plenty of hot water. Definitely recommend.

We loved staying at Umpqua’s Last Resort! The hosts were friendly and very knowledgeable about the location — which is perfect for fall exploring and hiking! Super RV sites were roomy, bathrooms and showers were clean and close by! Would definitely recommend and we’ll be staying again (:

This was our first stop on a tour testing a camper van. It was a perfect start to our adventure. Spacious lots (and a wide variety of stay outings), loved the dish wash station and the showers (with heated clean bathrooms) were AMAZING! Great proximity to many different waterfalls. Staff were also incredibly responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Site 14 - Peaceful Camping in the Umpqua
This campsite was perfect. It was well managed, clean and pleasant staff. The sites were very pretty with electrical outlets even for 110 plugs not just TV plugs so if you had an air fryer or needed to charge up your ExoFlow you could easily. They even offer WiFi for a small fee like 3 days for $8.50, not for streaming but regular reading or texting or mapping. The campsite was about 40 min drive to Crater lake entrances. On the way there were many Waterfall sites. They also offer sight seeing tours and a free map to do self guided tours. I highly recommend this site

We had an amazing visit. The campground is well maintained and cared for and loved our glam tent the 'Pioneer'. Beautifully decorated and nice amenities. Very close to lots of hikes and not far from Crater Lake. We plan to return!

We had an amazing stay in the Umpqua area! The campground was peaceful, well-kept, and perfectly located for exploring. What really made the experience stand out was Stephen, the host. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area—sharing tips on local hikes, waterfalls, and hidden gems that we never would have found on our own. Highly recommend this campground if you want a welcoming place to stay. It is centrally located to explore many of waterfalls Crater Lake.

We camped at site 17 with a tent and really enjoyed our stay. The site was spacious, shaded, and private, with a picnic table and fire ring in great condition. Bathrooms and water were a short walk away and kept clean. The river and tall trees made the setting peaceful and quiet at night. A great spot for tent camping—we’d definitely return.

Such a great place to stay! I appreciated the nice & clean bathroom facilities. I felt very safe solo camping there. The pond area that’s walking distance from the campsites was so peaceful and nice to take a little dip in. Will definitely be coming back next year to explore the other waterfalls in that area.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. The entire site was very clean and well-maintained, and the washrooms were spotless, which made our experience even more comfortable. Everything was well taken care of, and you can tell the staff put effort into keeping the place in great condition. Highly recommend!

The campsite was quaint and host was very welcoming! Pretty buggy but to be expected in a forest. I will say: do NOT use Google maps right from the Hipcamp map/location listing. Put the address in the description manually into your GPS. Google maps literally brought us 35 min in the wrong direction up a forest road on the side of the mountain as we were losing daylight! The road it brought us to was incredibly narrow and we could barely turnaround without feeling like we were about to fall off the side of the mountain. We were STRESSED. The campsite says it’s remote, it is right off the main highway through Umpqua National Forest. There is no service but there is wifi at the site you can pay for-not really what I would consider remote! There is also a small camp store next to the campsite. Free hot showers! Only downside was it’s not lockable (just a curtain in front of the toilets and showers) so that was a little unnerving but everyone seems very respectful. We left a bunch of stuff at our campsite out and no one messed with it! Wish we had an extra day to do the waterfall tour!

Super cute campground. Very well-maintained and the staff were extremely friendly. Only a 15 minute drive to Toketee Falls, Umpqua Hot springs, Watson Falls, and so much more. The campground itself has a short and cute walk to a swimming hole that is perfect for both littles and adults. Would definitely come back to stay here!!

This is absolutely the cleanest and nicest campground I have ever stayed at. Definitely more glamping than traditional camping, considering there are flushing toilets, hot showers, and even a dish pit to wash all your dishes. Very friendly staff and overall would definitely stay here again. Would love to check out some of the cabins or clamping tents next time.

Stayed at site 4 in my 13' Scamp (site can accommodate larger rigs) and enjoyed my stay. Quiet with occasional road noise, but it was barely noticeable even though I'm fairly sensitive to noise. Clean facilities, lots of staff tending to upkeep, who were helpful when I asked questions a couple times. Hosts were friendly and generous about sharing their knowledge about the area. I purchased 72-hour wifi access, which was reliable while I was there. The store next door was handy for ice and a random toy I picked up for my dog. I hope to return next year.

Nice park for trip to Crater Lake

Great place to stay if you want to explore Crater Nat’l Park and the surrounding beauty along the Umpqua River. We stayed for 3 days in our RV, but there are tent sites, tiny homes and cabins available, as well. Our site was relatively level for a river rock foundation and had some shade, a fire pit and a picnic table made of coated metal so easy to clean and no worries about splinters. The bathhouse was clean and supplies were well-stocked, including the dish sink outside. Owners were helpful getting us backed into our site, and knew the area well. A small store with basic groceries, paper goods, grab and go sandwiches and breakfast items and a few souvenir items was right next to the entrance. There was gas and propane available there, too. River rafting trips can be booked on site and leave from Last Resort as well.

Absolutely beautiful campground! Compact, well thought out, privacy between sites. Everything was top notch. Going to the creek pool was a nice adventure and needed refresh after a 100+ degree day! wish we could’ve stayed longer!
