Our property has been in business in one way or another for over 70 years. The stick built cabins are pre 1950's and no one really knows for sure how old they truly are. We are located on Fort Creek named after the creek that ran through Fort Klamath. Fort Creek is a beautiful 30' wide meandering creek that runs the length of the property north to south. We offer free use of our Old Town Canoes to paddle along it's extent and on up creek to a beaver damn. There is a fun hiking trail that runs over two bridges that span the creek, one covered and one floating. We also offer free catch and release fishing, there are Rainbow and Brown Trout in our waters. Fort Klamath is the birthplace and home of the US Army 1st Cavalry and our property is located on the the Forts Southeastern grounds. We are 9 miles from the southern border of the National Park and 23 miles from the southern Rim and Rim Village. Please note: We do allow pets in some of our sites for $10 per night. DOG FRIENDLY: We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property down by the creek (on-leash required in and around the barn). If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campground for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to. QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We ask that guests keep the noise (loud music and loud conversations) to a minimum between 10pm and 9am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us). NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. This property is best enjoyed in the daylight and we encourage campers who want to take full advantage of the scenery, will abide by the quiet hours, and maintain a safe space for all. OTHER INFO: CELL SERVICE: There is an AT&T tower on our property so that gets the best service by far. Verizon is pretty good. T-mobile does not get reception here. There is high-speed internet up at the barn that is accessible with a Blue Barn Pass.

Great place. I used the cabin to stay warm in the cold November time. Amazing host - explained and had an excellent map to catch all the waterfalls and mile markers. The site is great - extremely close to bathrooms and shower which are super warm inside and water. Small little cabin for the night but has loads of extras. Microwave and little fridge as needed.

4 nights at Umpqua's Last Resort

I have no notes - Umquilla's Last Resort checked all my boxes at every step: my dog and I loved it. Our cute mini-cabin had energy-efficient heat, microwave, and fridge allowing more food diversity than I usually get on my annual Thanksgiving trip. The bed was comfortable and as a single traveler with a dog: the bunk bed gave us a lot of extra room to stretch out. The showers, restrooms, and dish washing area were spotless and warm. The staff was happy, kind, and showed visible support for LGTBQIA+ travelers. My dog loved that we could hike in the national forest without getting in the car which conveniently could charge via the EV charging station in the campgrounds. I mostly explored between the campsite and I-5 due to there being a charger at the campground and dozens of options in Roseberg (or on my trip in via I-5 South a good high-speed charger in Sutherlin.) Self-service paid internet access (24h, 72h, and 5 day options) provided suitable bandwidth for unexpected video calls and web browsing. It was all perfect, worked well, easy to spot from the road, and in a beautiful region with lots of activities. A true oasis for travelers just an hour east of I-5.

My second stay for the new moon skies & lucked out again with clear skies for the light show!! We went over to the Clarno Unit of the John Day Fossil National Monument & loved it. Then we drove on over to John Day & looked around a bit before heading back. An extra bonus is the resident herd of mule deer that bed down for the night across the street in a large vacant lot while we watched the stars around the firepit. Will be back!

Beautiful spot and so quiet! The stars were incredible, the tiny house and bathroom were clean and tastefully decorated, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with every convenience. The mattress was very comfortable! My favorite thing by far were the friendly kittens and other pets. We enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep under the pines and loved to hear the wild birds in the morning. The lava rock is beautiful. Hosts were kind and attentive. We are so grateful for their hospitality!

Roshin and her partner were very friendly and generous. It was a nice change from most other accommodation experiences where they are more commercial and transactional these days. We enjoyed her really cool studio, and had access to a dedicated bathroom and common kitchen in her main house. Our pup also had an incredible amount of fun in her beautiful backyard. Also, Samosa is just the sweetest!

Weekend Trip to Antelope Basecamp

We arrived at night, here are my lessons learned: 1. The city block the campground is on it right on the "main drag," in the middle-ish of town. Just drive slow, and look to each side till you see the A-frames. 2. The only time we used our flashlight was to shine it on the door numbers when we arrived. Other than that, the campground is magically lit by red lights (to avoid starlight interruption) and glowy rocks embedded in the paths. Plus moon/stars. 3. If the stars are out, GO THEN! We decided to rest first and by the time we came out later there was cloud cover. (Still lovely.) 4. The heater actually keeps the A-frame warm! It was down to the 30s at night during our stay, and we did not need to bring "back-up" blankets. 5. Bathrooms are also heated, and have private flush toilets and private showers. Yes, you have to walk to them, but it is a very short and easy walk. Lovely and peaceful - will be back!

Weekend Trip to Umpqua's Last Resort

I absolutely loved staying here in my deluxe cabin! It was the perfect personal retreat I needed, the cabin was super clean and cozy, nice fluffy bath towels and the Wolfgang Puck coffee pods were a treat! The park was quiet and at night I could hear the river from my cabin, there is a nice trail down to the river and I was able to spend time by the river in the evening. The location is so close to many waterfalls! Toby and Dustin are super nice hosts! The shared restrooms were clean and the showers hot! I loved the small trails to wander on next to the park. I cant wait to return as this will be my place to stay this coming year, thank you for providing such a nice place to have a get away from the world! My only request would be to allow for a late check out if needed but I ended up leaving early to see more waterfalls!

Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo. The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra. Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!
