Dragons Lair Tipi
Dragons Lair Tipi was awesome inside and out. Fridge, comfy bed, and more within the tent. Outhouse and shower right outside the tent. The land itself had an awesome swing and some axe throwing which was fun! Overall, the property was awesome.

This trip was everything I needed and it was partly due to this magical location. Glamping at its finest! Dani is the ultimate host and the accommodations are peaceful, comfortable, and perfect for families and couples.

After a rough three-week road trip full of setbacks, we booked Danelle’s place at Rivers Watch Tipi last minute, hoping for a bit of peace before heading home early. We were tired, discouraged, and honestly just hoping for something quiet to lift our spirits. What we found was so much more.
Danelle welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness. She greeted us with a smile, gave us a tour of the property, and made us feel instantly at home. Her land is stunning, peaceful, open, and thoughtfully cared for. We swam in the lake, picked fresh berries from the garden, and ended our nights under a sky full of stars.
There was a sense of grace in everything she offered, from the quiet space to rest, to the cleanliness and comfort of the site itself. It was exactly what our hearts needed. Danelle not only gave us a place to land, she helped restore our faith in the goodness of people and the healing power of nature.
This is a place I’ll return to again and again, with family and friends in tow. If you’re lucky enough to stay here, you’ll feel it too. Thoughtful, clean, soul-healing; Rivers Watch is a true gift.

Wonderful time at the tipi! One of our favorite hipcamp stays to date. So many extras on the property and the whole resort is so well maintained! Don't let the price to stay or the thought of composting toilets deter you from booking. The amenities they provide are worth every dollar, and their toilet and shower situation was clean and eat better than expected! (They even have porta potty options if you're not into composting.) My kids all want to come back again next year!

I took my 10 and 8 year old to spend the night at Danelle’s camp and we stayed in the Dragon Liar tent. My children were so impressed with the details and thoughtfulness of the items in the tent to make our stay comfortable; indoor toilet for #1, cool outdoor private shower, themed bedding and carpet, board/card games, filtered drinking water, super comfy beds, indoor gas fire and LED lights. The kids and I enjoyed exploring the garden, picking some berries, using the paddle boat in the pond and spotting fish and salamanders.

Father and I shared the tipi. My wife and mother and law shared the stargazer. The beds were very comfy and overall we had a lot of fun on the property playing throwing axes, peddle boating, pickle ball and basketball.

We love this place. When my mother and law, who is visiting from India and has never camped wanted to give it a go, dany’s property and the the tipi’s were the first place we thought of. I know it is a bit glampy, but we knew it would be a safe bet for a peaceful, well rested weekend with lots of activities to do.

Sunny Land resort 20 miles north of Grants Pass was the last night of a week long trip with our two grandkids ages 8 and 12. After two nights at Best Westerns and four nights at KOAs cabin and a RV, we decided to splurge with a night out of the ordinary. When I spotted the image of a Dragon Lair Tipi to stay in, I couldn’t resist. After a long day visiting the giant Redwoods with a few mishaps we arrived past 7, now exhausted but enchanted by the magic of Sunny Land and Dani our host who delighted in showing her place off. The grandkids were thrilled with the trampoline and swing and hammocks. I cooked a simple meal in the external and shared camp kitchen which was outfitted for large gatherings. it was was a cold night after a heavy rain the day before but we kept the fire pit inside the tipi going to keep us warm. Lots of big comforters also helped. We loved looking up at peacock feathers and dream catchers floating over our heads from the top of the tipi which sported a beautiful hawk flying overhead.
The next morning the kids played in the pond trying to catch a few frogs, and trying out the paddle board and blown up pontoon boat and floating dock. My husband and I just enjoyed ourselves on the deck of the tipi, drinking the great provided coffee and feeling the utter quiet and beauty of the place: We were the only ones there that night as if we were in our own private park. This place would really be ideal for a family/friend reunion gathering with its 5-6 tipis.

Stargazer Tipi
Danelle was an amazing host and the property is absolutely gorgeous. My girlfriend picked tipi glamping for her birthday and we had such an incredible time! We were sad to leave but look forward to returning soon. I would definitely recommend Sunny Valley Resort for a quick weekend getaway or for a week of adventure! Great for families and dogs or even a romantic trip for two.

We loved our stay at Dragon's Lair. Dani was wonderful and so thoughtful. Every need was taken care of and our two kids, 10 and 7, were amazed by the gorgeous teepees. It is hard to put into words how special and secluded this place is. Look forward to going back when it's not so hot. During our stay Oregon had record heat waves and an emergency heat alert with days over 103 degrees. That said Dani's beautiful retreat is shrouded with giant trees that provide ample shade and cooling in the evening. Just go.

OH MY STARS! Sunny Valley is a hidden gem and quickly became mine and my husband's new favorite getaway!
All of Danelle's tipis are STUNNING inside and out. The tipis are clean and equipped with everything you need for however long your stay may be. The property is truly MAGICAL and full of life and fun activities!
Fresh fruit, axe throwing, swing, hammocks, fire pits inside and out of the tipi, communal kitchen, paddle boarding, peacocks, and many many more highlights of our trip.
Danelle, thank you for your hospitality and grace. She is an absolutely WONDERFUL host. Accommodating and serene with inviting energy.

What a special place! Spent the night in the Gnome Dome and stayed toasty warm on a very cold night. Bed, sheets, pillows, all deluxe. Everything was provided to make our glamp experience extraordinary. The grounds are exceptional as well with so many activities to participate in. I can’t wait to go back!

Dani is the best host! Strongly recommend this site if you have a family with young kids. My girls really enjoyed the dogs on the property. It was a hidden paradise for them to roam around in tranquility.

Oh my goodness this place is special! My girlfriend and I came for the first time with my pup and I absolutely loved all of it. The teepees are so spacious and have everything in them you could need including the most divinely soft beds. It’s pretty cool at night now and lighting. The indoor fireplace in the morning was also having. we had an outdoor movie night complete with free, popcorn and treats. Donnell is the most gracious, friendly, wonderful host you could ask for! And my pop loved it there as well. Cannot wait to come back and look forward to coming with a few other girlfriends and make it a little retreat weekend.

We LOVED staying here. Unlike a lot of other places where everything looks nice in photos but the quality ends up being cheap and all amenities are trashed (like games without most pieces), it is clear that Danelle put a lot of thought and attention into the property and maintains the equipment. Even the Bed was super comfy and the blankets heavy, soft and warm.
We really appreciated the unrestricted use of amenities. It was also very nice that there were grills, stove, popcorn maker, etc were free to use and that we didn’t need to provide our own fuel.

Danielle is a super amazing host and full of surprises! She puts a ton of effort into making sure every guest has what they need. There are plenty of outdoor recreational activities to do on the property with more surrounding nature areas off site to explore. The outdoor theater is a really nice touch and some of the kids on site were able to enjoy a blow up water slide!
The tipis are VERY unique and magical! It comes with a personal fire pit, outdoor dining area, outdoor shower with instant hot water, and basic necessities inside the tipi. The community area was great for every dining need in case you forget something. This experience is for anyone just wanting to get away but even more so with a group of people to enjoy the fun campground activities! Highly recommend to anyone looking to find peace :)

What a wonderful stay! The host was attentive and was there to greet us and walk us through the space. Bed was comfortable and the land was beautiful. Great time. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Dragon Tepee, and we loved it!!! We had our two small children with us as well, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We were blown away by all the features offered inside and outside the tepee. The bed was so comfortable! The property was perfect. There were fun things to do and a very well-stocked communal kitchen. We will definitely be coming back! If you're on the fence about staying in a tepee, don’t be! You won’t regret it!! This space was absolutely perfect! The tent is beautifully put together and wonderfully cozy. You can tell a lot of thought goes into every detail here. The hosts are warm and friendly, and you can feel how passionate they are about the property and the space they are building there. We will absolutely visit again, and will love to see how they grow and expand. The property has a ton of extra bits like an outdoor movie set up and kitchen, trampoline, swimming pond, peacocks and dogs roaming… we loved spending the day exploring and discovering all there was to offer, and winding down with an outdoor bath and a cozy bed was a magical way to end the day.
