Judy and her family were gracious hosts for us and our 2 dogs over a long weekend stay at the Honeybee Ranch. We arrived well after dark, but Judy was in contact with us, making sure we could find our way. She even left the party lights on for us, which was a big help. We opted to sleep in our tent, but the beds in the bunk house would have been perfect if the weather had been different. The property was so well equipped and laid out that it hardly felt like we were camping. Running water, electricity, and access to the bathroom of a trailer about 100 yards away made our stay very comfortable. Judy and her family gave us several great suggestions of things to do in the area. We would love to return to this property. Definitely take advantage of the outdoor shower (it is brisk, but was refreshing after a couple of hot and dusty hikes), and check for chicken eggs during your stay!

Clean, comfortable little cabin with great amenities - deck, chairs, and outdoor sink for washing dishes and refiling water bottles. Clean portable toilet nearby. Very accessible location and a great "home base" for day trips in the area. We will return!

The Honeybee Ranch was great! We stayed for 4 days, and loved the clean, cozy cabin and being able to sit and enjoy the view from the deck. The bunks were very comfortable, and we enjoyed being able to see the stars from inside at night, as the double doors which make up one of the cabin walls can be left open. The location was amazing - great for exploring the Bend area, and many options for float trips on the river. Judy & Mike were exceptional hosts and were always happy to make suggestions for our stay. We definitely hope to return!

I really enjoyed staying here with a friend while on a 3 day trip to Bend. We loved the features like fire pit, sink, mini fridge, and standing porch swing overlooking the property. Getting to enjoy those thing really added to our stay. My advice coming here would be prepared for very very cold outdoor shower. It is quite a nice private outdoor-style shower but just my advice if you are used to cold fresh water. Another note, the area is very quiet and dark and lovely at night so the starts a very beautiful to look at from the bunk patio.

Welcoming, relaxing, enjoyable
My bestie and I met at the HoneyBee Ranch for a weekend get away and had the best time. HBR provided the perfect feel of camping without truly camping. Our time was spent enjoying all of the outdoor wonders that Tumalo/Bend has to offer, eating yummy local food and then relaxing back at the HBR. We had some great talks with Judy and her family while there and felt completely safe throughout our stay. HBR will be a place we return to for sure.

Great Glamping @ Honey Bee Ranch!
Judy, Mike, & Dash were excellent hosts for our "glamping" experience at the Honey Bee Ranch. From excellent & welcoming communications before/during our trip to informational notes/suggestions to leaving us some treats for our two dogs that joined us --- we really enjoyed our much needed time away in the beautiful high desert. Many thanks to our wonderful hosts!
This was our first Hipcamp experience, and we're looking forward to many more - and to consider becoming a host ourselves!

Fun, clean and cozy!
The Honeybee Ranch was the perfect place to get away to from the city. It's location is private, while still being close to many great spots in Tumalo and Bend. The tiny cabin was clean and cozy.

The Honey Bee Ranch cabin was great! Great place to stay for 2-3 days, has a great picnic table and camp fire set up. The cabin came with a mini fridge and cooler, there are items for purchase. The two twin beds were great, the only thing that we didn't know, because it wasn't on the listing, is that you do need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. We had only brought blankets and pillow because I was under the impression bedding would be included. Other than that, this was a cute little spot in Tumalo with lots of walking/hanging out, we were able to take a 15 min walk into town from the property, which was great! Judy and Mike are super friendly and attentive.

Honey Bee is a Gem
Judy and Mike were exemplary hosts and their Honey Bee Bunkhouse was the perfect Bend experience for a couple of friends spending a couple of days in a beautiful place. The custom-crafted cabin was small, but very comfortable--comparable to a yurt: comfortable bunks with pillows and bottom linens, a simple toilet and enough counter space and hooks to accommodate 2. The sink is outdoors and has clean cold water, as does the outdoor shower. The red adirondack chairs are perfectly positioned on a porch that looks out onto their 11 acres while strategically hiding the nearby freeways. Only 15 minutes into Bend--an easy drive and a 20 minute walk into Tumalo. It truly was everything they promised. While the accommodation was private, Judy and Mike made themselves available by text or phone for questions. I would definitely return. I was very pleased!

Honey Bee Ranch
Hone Bee Ranch is the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway or to use as a place to stay while traveling north or south through Oregon. The dwelling was rustic, quaint and well thought out. The view of the surrounding hills from the porch are spectacular in the morning and evening light. There even is a little chipmunk making his home in a nearby tree hollow.

Cozy cabin retreat with a view
The Honeybee Ranch was amazing! My siblings and I spent our 4th of July here and it was incredible. It was very quiet and there was plenty of room for our dog to run around. We got to watch the beautiful firework display in Bend from a distance. Judy and her husband Mike were incredibly generous. They gave us fresh eggs from their chickens and made sure we were enjoying ourselves the entire time! I loved the little cabin and its cute lights. If I'm ever back in Bend, I will definitely stay here again. Definitely reccommended.

My family had a wonderful time at Honeybee Ranch! Mike met us upon arrival and was very welcoming. We felt like we were glamping in the adorable and cozy cabin. My daughter loved feeding the chickens, and their eggs were delicious! We saw a big, beautiful red tailed hawk hanging out on a tree 15 feet from the cabin! Such a treat! Mike & Judy even set out new wood for us while we were out and about on our second day. I highly recommend staying at Honeybee, and we plan to return and explore more of the property!

Nice little bunkhouse
Well built bunkhouse with comfortable bunks, spacious deck, sink, shower (cold) and fire pit. Electricity and good tasting water. Host Judy and husband Mike are very hospitable and accommodating. They knew we liked to watch birds and hung 2 bird feeders at the bunkhouse. The bunkhouse faces the chicken coop and the chickens are very entertaining.. plus free eggs. There is a nice view to a distant butte and the east side of the bunkhouse has solid shade during the heat of the day. The bunkhouse is lovely but the hosts live in trailer several hundred feet away so it is not a secluded spot if that’s what you’re looking for. There is road noise from hwy 20, which waxes and wanes, but is not country quiet. The location is great and you are free to roam around. It’s a 6 minute drive to the Deschutes River at Tumalo State Park and 15 minutes to a wonderful float trip down the Deschutes at the Tumalo Creek Canoe Company. You can also walk to an outdoor pub/ food truck / hang out location called “The Bite”, if you want a change of venue. We enjoyed our time there.
