Natural Camping with Artsy Vibe

Pros:
Beautiful spot. This is the polar opposite of the typical, cramped, noisy RV park. Camp in a large meadow with lots of room between sites. The location is a few miles away from any busy highway, so the quiet was an exquisite change of pace. We camped on a Friday night, and the quiet was briefly interrupted by a jam session in the barn later in the evening. If that might bother you, there are many sites a bit farther away from the barn that you could choose.
Cons:
Unlike the typical cramped RV park with clearly marked roads and campsites, the meadow is just a big field of grass that has been mowed to provide the site locations and a driving loop around the meadow. The sites are not numbered, so if you're used to the average RV park, it takes a while to get your bearings. If you have never been there before, I would not recommend this camp if you know you're arriving in the dark. Also, if you have a heavy vehicle and it has rained, or is forecast to rain, driving on the soft ground of the meadow could be a bad idea.
Summary:
This is the perfect campground for an adventurous camper who doesn't want to go to a typical RV park and be packed next to other campers like sardines in a can. This camp is for someone who wants to spend time immersed in a minimally altered natural setting. The counter-culture artsy vibe is just icing on the cake.

4th of July weekend and couldn’t find another place for our RV trip. This place is awesome! Our favorite spot so far! Incredibly peaceful and tons of space from neighboring campers. Very quiet and private. Beautiful property with a babbling creek next to our campsite. So glad we stayed there and Willow was so engaged with info leading up to our stay. Definitely would stay there again.

This space feels like it would have been a novelty a while ago but now felt a little past its time (I checked back through the photos and a lot of the good ones are almost ten years old). I was hoping for a good group vibe but as a solo traveler who arrived to a complete empty space it felt a little more on the creepy side. Different circumstances would surely have made it more appealing. The meadow was a challenging camp site given how damp everything is, it was a breeding ground for pincher bugs, I recommend bringing a tarp and having a good tolerance for creepy crawlers. In the end, probably great for large groups but otherwise might get a better value from a regular camp site.

There is plenty of space. It's basically a large grass-covered field with trees interspersed here and there. The camping spots and "road" are cut-out in the grass (which was about 2 ft tall). We had two vans in our party and it worked fine.

Willow’s land is well kept and the barn has a ton of cool and interesting things to do! My partner and I enjoyed glow in the dark ping pong and played some games while listening to another camper play piano. We were especially grateful for Willow’s quick acceptance of our request to stay on Memorial Day weekend as we made a pretty last minute decision.

I had an amazing time tent camping on Willow's land! It is well maintained and offers excellent and safe exploration for kids. It's also an incredible location in its proximity to the beach. Great for both physical and mental health! Also enjoyed chatting with the host!

It was a pleasure staying at Willow's campground - from the peaceful ambience of the premises and tranquil surroundings to the clear communication on guest expectations and resource availability. Lots of open spots available to pull in to and camp at, in a safe, communal setting. I would definitely return the next time I visit the area!

Willow is wonderful and the barn is a lot of wild and wonderful! The shared bonfire was fun as well! I would recommend going there during dry weather (though might not be able to have a bonfire) because it's quite a wetlands. I am hoping that Willow organizes more conservation educational experiences including volunteerism. Her heart and passion for the health of the land and people is so inspiring!

We booked here last minute for my birthday and luckily she still has a spot. Willow is super amazing, she works her ass off to keep that place running for so many people to enjoy it and everyone should be so thankful and helpful - ask if you can do anything. Two things PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH she doesn't have trash service and has to take it herself only every 4 months, there are signs pack it out. Pick up after yourself and if it's not yours don't eat it don't touch it unless you have permission.
The land is massive and so lovely, ducks and dogs wander around super sweet. The barn is open to guest and is incredible, she definitely has her entire property open to guest which is amazing, beautiful art, beautiful people, beautiful vibes. A full kitchen, communal firebit, instruments to use, ping pong, the black light room is siiick!
Overall this place is perfect and Willow is Incredible.

This was a beautiful property and great for group camping. Loved having the indoor ArtBarn space when the weather was rainy. The property is exactly as host describes. Willow was a great host and came down to check on the guests.

My second time camping on Willow’s land was as lovely as the first, albeit much wetter. Lovely guests and just rustic enough accommodations make this an easy win if you’re looking for something different when staying on the Oregon coast.

We found a nice, semi-secluded spot to park our small trailer across from the barn, which is full of art, found and created, furniture, a community kitchen, a stage, a bunk room and a black-light ping-pong room. Kinda trippy all around. Willow was welcoming and easy going. We enjoyed our stay and would return again. Warning: watch out for elk poop in the camping area. We saw a lot of that, but not the animals themselves. And I was glad we had 4-wheel drive to pull our rig up the driveway on the way out.

Art Barn was a cool and funky stop on our road trip from Portland to LA. The barn itself is super unique and interesting. Plenty of seating to lounge around while it was raining outside. Because of the weather, we did not take advantage of the fire pits or other outdoor amenities but it felt like a place you could definitely stay a while. I’d definitely stay again!

We had a great time at HeArt Barn! The camping area is open, but the spaces are spread out so that each site is your own slice of tranquility. We enjoyed hanging out in the Barn and although we didn't use all the facilities, shower, steam room, it was sure nice to have the option. Willow was a great host and we are looking forward to coming back!!
