The river was amazing and our six year old couldn’t get enough of it. Super relaxing and easy to get our camping trailer set up. Will definitely come back.

I needed a place to stay near Orting and RV parks are not my thing. This is a dog friendly location on the river. Nice.

I’ve camped here multiple times, it’s peaceful and easy to get too.
As a solo female camper I always feel comfortable and safe at this site. I love falling to sleep with the sound of the river next to me.

Loved the riverfront location. The site had a lot of cool artwork and the space felt private even though there were other campers around. Great place!

Great spot. Being right on the river was amazing. Cell reception is poor (for T-Mobile at least), so plan on having your questions answered before arriving.
Pat was very accommodating and quick to respond. Would definitely come back :)

Private Riverfront camping
What a wonderful place to camp!!!!!! Water and wood were available for use. Campsite was 25 ft from tent and individual fire ring...There are only a few campsites (six I believe) on the waterfront and plenty of space between for privacy. A group firepit is available if you choose to socialize. There is a highway borfering the property but for the most part the rushing river conceals the noise. I never got to swim in the swimhole unfortunately because i was too busy visiting the National Parks nearby. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks Pat!!!

Great spot by the river!
This is a great spot to stay! If you’re into art you’re going to love it here. He has plenty of art projects to enjoy while relaxing at your campsite. Lots of fun pups! Right on the water, you sleep to the sound of the River! Would recommend!

A mixed bag but overall decent camp
Overall, I think that this campsite is a good deal, it provides a nice space by the River and some amenities, but a few things could be improved to enhance guest experience. It was pretty difficult to figure out how to work the water— I think instructions on that could be a bit more clear. The garbage thing is also a bit of a con (having to take it out), which they are upfront about, but it’s definitely a bit of an added planning thing. Bathrooms were probably as good as a port a potty could be. We had a pretty good experience; I think that there was a fire pit. I’d recommend bringing some extra chairs/seating as well for around the campfire. The aesthetic of the place is definitely quirky; not everyone’s thing but we found it fun!

Best for RVing along serious river
Convenient location on the way to Rainier. Responsive host. Clean portapotties. If you’re tent camping the spots are next to a roaring riverbank (August) making it hard to sleep. More ideal for RV camping. Neat artwork.

The good was that you are very close to the river and you don't need a 4x4 to get to camping site. There was also plenty of space between sites. The downside is that it's very close to the road so you can hear road noise. Also there are other properties nearby and someone was blasting music all day long which was not ideal. The owner can't really do much for that. One thing they can do is trim the bushes blocking the view of the river from where the tent camping was.
Other notes. You get 5g connection and the city center is nearby so if you need anything it's a 10 min walk

Mixed Review
Overall, we had a decent experience. The river was beautiful and it was nice having wood available to buy, plus water to use. They also has a port-a potty as well. It was also helpful the stores were a short distance away. The campsite we chose with the best shade was also right next to a main road. The river helps drown out the sound a little. The river isn’t swimmable, to quick. The community campsite needs. little TLC. The owners (girlfirends?) frenchie did come after my dog 2x. He said sorry they are her dogs. Nobody was hurt, and the owner put it in the house both time. But, my dog didn’t want to go near the house after that. There is a nice side area with a bench to sit and enjoy the river and you can enjoy the river from most campsites. Overall decent campsite during the week.

We reserved for 3 nights but didn't stay. Got there and only about 2 sites were available. We had 4 people with 2 tents. Unfortunately, the camping spots were very small and we would practically be camping in the middle of the road. No grass, just a lot of rocks. There were little kids running around our area (that we were gonna camp) and couldn't figure out how the other cars would drive out unless we move our tent each time.
I really wanted to love it. The space is mainly for car camping or RV only as it only fits that or maybe a very tiny tent. We had a 4 person tent and a 2 person tent which the area was not feasible to set up. I wish this was mentioned in the description.
Very pretty place though right by the river I probably would stay next time if I was car camping only.

Was disappointed by the upkeep of the site. There were several piles of trash at our site and just had an overall run down/dirty feel. The site was on a gravel road and you had to walk through peoples camp sites to get in and out. We did not end up staying and found another Hipcamp close by to stay for the night.
