Rainbow Ridge Retreat is closed until further notice. We are working with the land to bring out more of its natural beauty! Rainbow Ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans. Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. A quick 5 min walk to the public access bridge to cross Conner's Creek, this is a private campsite for your next beach retreat. Located in Copalis Beach WA, you are close to Griffith Priday state park and natural area and a general store right down the road for all your needs while you're away from home. Pacific Beach and Ocean Shores are just 15 min away but you will feel like you are in a much more secluded setting. Use this as a basecamp to explore some of the rain forests up north or use it as a premier clamming destination. The site has a gravel driveway that is aprox 75' long and 14-16' wide. In the winter all vehicles and RV's must stay on the designated driveway. In the summer the grass in the front and sandy beach soil around the firepit can be used for other activities. This is a beach paradise and listening to the surf as you go to sleep is always a wonderful experience. There is no toilet on site. Tent campers must dispose of their waste accordingly and all trash must be packed out.

Stayed at the sand GOAT for Memorial Day weekend. Was close enough to pop into town or spend a day at the beach! We brought our pop up camper and my brother and his group had booked the other site for tent camping. We ended up making a community kitchen/fire pit area and it was absolutely perfect for us all. The kids loved exploring and playing! It was on a very quiet residential street and the host was wonderful. The property is in the process of being upgraded but none of that stopped us from having a fun, relaxing weekend. We hope to return soon!

There’s a small grocery store nearby if you’re in need of some basic groceries. There’s also a pub if you’re needing some food and don’t want to cook. Both are just a few minutes away. Ocean shores is about 15 minutes away with various restaurant options. The IGA there also has a wider variety of groceries, if the other store/pub won’t do it for you. Even though you’re on SR 109, road noise didn’t seem to be an issue except for 1 or 2 people whose driving was a bit obnoxious. As for the tent sites, they all appeared to be well maintained. Site 1 has a number of trees so the ground was more like that of being out in the woods (pine needles, twigs and such) where the other sites have grass. My wife and I didn’t mind as the trees allowed us to hang some lights and put up our hammock without having it in an awkward spot. As mentioned in their description, the sites have a fire pit and picnic table which were in good shape. The picnic table even seemed to have a pretty fresh coat of paint on it. There is a community sink with cold water hooked up as well as a garden hose. That was a huge plus for cleaning dishes and filling jugs with water to have at the site for various needs. At one point, the drain for the sink had a clog. I made a call about it as my wife and I were heading into Ocean Shores for a short outing and the sink was fixed by time we came back. Huge thanks to the host for the quick response! The community bathrooms were great! Free showers were a big plus!

It was noce not having to worry about being too loud around the campfire at night, especially since we were night owls. Overall we had a great experience and would love to come again!

This place was amazing. There were a lot of sites close to each other but don’t worry they’re all separated by greenery so you don’t see them, you get a lot of privacy for sure. Our site had a lot of space, we had our own table and a huge canopy and we still had a ton of room. it was very calm and quiet the whole time. The river was also very nice and relaxing. Multiple tall trees and bushes around our site to tie rope around to hang my tarp to block the rain/wind which was great. Overall great experience.
