This place was beautiful, serene with the sounds of tickling water. Carl was extremely accommodating and kind. Responses were fast. Booked last min and 1st time using the site and he responded fast and set it up for us quickly.

Friendly, but not private. They had guests over and were within 40 feet of the campsite for most of the time. The next day they had contractors over to work on the place. I appreciated the ability to reserve a site and the comfort of having a place to stay but this was uncomfortable. We left after one night after having paid for two. The bathroom available is a hole in the ground across the street and the smell was so unbearable we ended up driving into town just to use the restroom. The host’s backyard is very nice but it is their backyard.

Great private spot for a relaxing getaway. Plenty of shade, a nice fire pit, and a little creek that our dogs loved playing in.
Carl was very friendly and welcoming. The Lake Nahwatzel Resort is just a short walk away with great food, and the public boat launch is directly across the road. We’d definitely stay again

Adorable setup ,cute landscaping, excellent host. Road can be busy but site is set back from the road. Site is right across from Lake. Offers power, water and internet. No bathroom facilities

Carl’s property was so beautiful. I loved the sound of the creek and the wind chime. The set up is so great! Nice private space with a fence and loved the lights around the exterior of the property. He had it looking so good with some awesome little decorations. Very inviting and so peaceful. So many deer came by in the evening.
We felt welcomed by both Carl and his wife. I would definitely recommend Spike Camp to all!

We asked to stay very last minute and Carl made it happen for us! We were grateful for somewhere to stay during our fishing trip 🎣 Carls backyard is beautiful and so calming! The lights and sound of the creek made for a beautiful backdrop to a very pretty evening. Thanks Carl!

Carl shares a beautiful, peaceful location to relax, fish, unwind! You’ll have your own lovely yard which pups and kids will love, partially fenced, surrounded by potted trees and flowers, and bordered by woods, so you have privacy and a great stretching-out space. Complete with a babbling brook for background music! Speedy communication, great directions, friendly and helpful hosts - very available if you need, but also very mindful if camper’s privacy. Right across the road from the public boat launch. Property has plenty of driveway space for maneuvering a big rig, truck/trailer, camper, etc. While electric/water hookups are on the passenger-side of the site, we were able to easily hook up to both. Resort cafe just a short walk away if you want dinner out. We were visited by a young spike, a doe and her fawns, and even caught a glimpse of a raccoon! One of the best spots we’ve had the privilege to visit. You’ll love it!

Carl’s property is beautiful! The vehicle spot is nice and secluded from the rest of his property, and it’s super convenient to a public boat launch.
