Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

Bridgeport Reservoir is a lake at the lower end of Bridgeport Valley in Mono County, California. Its earth-filled dam was constructed in 1923 by the Walker River Irrigation District, along the East Walker River. The campground and marina was built I-don't-know-how-long ago, but it sure is nice! About Us: Welcome to Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground. Join us for the classic camping and fishing experience with unique views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Within the Toiyabe National Forest, Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground is conveniently located near two distinct hot spring areas. A true angler's paradise, the Reservoir has excellent trout fishing from spring through fall and is close by to multiple rivers for incredible fly fishing. A 35 minute drive on highway 120 will take you to the Tioga Pass Gate of Yosemite National Park. This gate is a great start to several different areas inside of the park that you may want to visit beyond that gate. Off-road enthusiasts would not have enough time in one visit to explore all of the 4x4 trails, abandoned mines, and sites in the area as well as the famous trail that brings you right to the Bodie Ghost Town. Climate and Ecosystem: At 6,400 feet (1,950 meters), this high desert climate has little to moderate tree coverage and gets hot during the days and cool at night. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

The River Electric is a camp resort and swim club featuring 40 furnished tents, two pools, a full-service restaurant and cocktail bar, and multiple event spaces. It’s available for daytime visits, overnights, and full event buy outs. The River Electric is not a traditional campground - we do not allow guests to bring in stoves or outside food. We have a full bar and restaurant, communal fire pit and well-stocked camp store. Our tented rooms have both king and double bed options with luxury bedding, lounge furnishings, and all the amenities of a boutique hotel. A centrally located bathhouse offers a variety of facilities including indoor and outdoor showers, single stall restrooms, and a dedicated area for getting ready. Please note our tents share one main pathway and noise travels easily. We do not recommend overnights for families with children who do not sleep through the night or have difficulty adhering to quiet hours as this is disruptive for other guests. Similarly if you are looking for a silent retreat and require an early bedtime we may not be the right fit. Quiet hours in the campground are 10pm-7am. The River Electric offers two unique pool areas – the Main Pool, which is a 60-foot round pool at the heart of the property, and The Little Dipper Pool, our smaller rectangular pool that is available for private rental, and serves as our adult-only swimming area. Both pools are located at the center of the property, with easy access to The Pool Bar, restrooms and other amenities. Access to the facilities begins at 4pm on the day of arrival and continues till the pool closes on your day of departure (6 pm or later depending on the day of the week). The River Electric is nestled in the woods and walking distance from downtown Guerneville, a hidden gem in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, where towering redwoods meet riverfront charm. From kayaking and wine tasting to quirky shops, lively bars, and award-winning dining, it’s the perfect spot for adventure and relaxation. Be near the park, but feel that complete privacy. These sites are very spaced out from each other and are large. No need to cram together! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch! We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite. We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite. There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour. We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport. When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful! This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

There is NOTHING like being in the wilderness of this area for a good re-centering of the soul! We have found it to be a true blessing for our family, and we hope you can experience this blessing as we share this space with you. We feel certain you will not be disappointed with our beautiful river canyon. Our property is situated right on the middle fork Cosumnes river. The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”. Ask us about the story!

Welcome to the Amaya Creek Redwood Campground! We are deep in the Santa Cruz mountains and it’s rustic so be prepared! The road is all paved but it can be narrow, bumpy and steep in some areas. Be sure to follow our directions! The campground is hilly to walk around. The cell phone reception is decent for all major carriers up at the entrance gate area but down in the campground really depends on the carrier, Verizon and AT&T are weak or even no signal down at the campground, T-Mobile and Comcast Mobile are better down there. If your phone doesn't work in the campground and you need to reach the host, go up to the entrance gate area, or ask other campers whose phone work down there to help. We do not have a trash service for the campground, we require all campers to PACK OUT THEIR TRASH! No wood burning fire is allowed all year around. Propane firepit is ok. Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 FREE hot water shower, utility shed with sink and hot water, and an outdoor amphitheater. The kitchen and washer/dryer is Staff Only not for campers. . We have 40 acres of redwood forest and two creeks running through including the Amaya Creek which serves the boundary of our property at the end of Amayak Creek Trail. There’s also a small waterfall off the Amaya Creek Trail, but it may dry out during the summer. Enjoy hiking, creeks and small waterfall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more. Most campsites allow 4-6 guests maximum with 1 car included in the nightly rate. Each additional vehicle is $15 per day and will be added at checkout once you add the correct number of vehicles you will be bringing. Pets are $10 per day, 1 pet per group ONLY. Please add this as an extra at the time of booking, you will see the option to add extras once you begin the checkout process. Dogs must be on leash at all times! Quiet hours are 10pm-8am. No drugs of any kind including marijuana allowed. No loud music allowed. This is a private property so no visitors are allowed, only paid guests. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules. No hookup for RV and trailer, check each site description to see if RV/trailer is ok for that site.

Beautiful setting, blissfully quiet. Bathrooms were great. Very easy walk to and from Smiley's in town. Hosts were so easy to connect with.. Thanks Sirima for sharing your bucolic surroundings. So looking forward to returning.

We loved staying in the real teal camper! The bed in the camper was very comfortable and AC worked great. We had a nice fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the beautiful view. The site was well maintained and very clean. We would strongly recommend this host for your next trip to the Julian/Santa Ysabel area!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We recently stayed at Cabin #1 — The Bluebird's Nest — and it was an absolute gem of an experience from start to finish. Hideout Mountain Lodge is the kind of place that immediately feels like a home away from home. Hosts Janice and Mike set the tone right from the start. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive — exactly the kind of hosts that make you feel like a valued guest rather than just another booking. It's clear they take real pride in what they've created here. The cabin itself was wonderful, but what truly elevated our stay was the unexpected bonus of live music at Josie's Hideout Saloon. The band Gallivant was playing throughout our visit and they were fantastic — the perfect soundtrack to mountain life. It added such a fun, lively energy to the whole experience and was a delightful surprise we didn't see coming. This place is a keeper. The setting, the hospitality, the atmosphere — it all comes together in a way that's hard to find. We will absolutely be coming back and can't recommend Hideout Mountain Lodge highly enough. Do yourself a favor and book a stay — you won't regret it! 🏕️

Weekend Trip to Hideout Mountain Lodge

This was a super cool cabin. Lots of attention to detail with the motif for sure. Beautiful area as well. Would stay there again. Had some difficulty with the wifi. I wasn't concerned as much, but the friend i was with figured out how to get it going. Someone not as tech-oriented might have had to call about that. One thing to note about the setup also, is that the area with the main bed is pretty tight. This didn't bother me, but I could picture someone not as flexible taking issue with this.

Our stay at the Resort’s RV space was one of the best experiences I’ve had through Hipcamp so far! The RV was well maintained and stocked with pillows and blankets, and with PG&E’s scheduled power outage, I felt that it was a nice touch that they included lanterns and games to pass the time. I would definitely come back here again if my travels take me through here.

Delightful stay with friendly and warm hosts! The cabins are in the shared camp area but still feel private and peaceful. They also have comfy mattresses and power to charge phones etc. A quick walk or drive gets you into town.

Weekend Trip to Estero San Antonio Wonderland

I’ve stayed at the campsites on the property and while I enjoy them, the Badger Den takes the medal. Emily is so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel at home. The trailer and farm fresh store has everything you need for an excellent glamping experience. We used the dry sauna everyday we were there and took a stroll through the farm to the pond. The property is such a magical place and played a big part in my engagement proposal. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway! Will be back soon ☀️✨
