On the main floor there are two bedrooms: both with queen beds, a full bath with large bathtub/shower; in loft: one queen and one twin, and a 1/2 bath. Extra airbeds are located in the closet. Sofa is down filled. Retro decor with orange glass lamps, kilim rugs and down comforters on all beds. Vintage electric keyboard and full stereo system. Can sleep 7-8. You can enjoy weekend dinners at Snowflake lodge or make use of the full kitchen or gas barbecue at the cabin. 35" to Bear Valley Ski Area, downhill or cross country, Lake Alpine in Summer. 20" to wine tasting in 1850's historic Murphys. So much to do or not! Overlook Trail is 1/2 mile from the cabin. We’re happy to recommend our favorite spots for hiking and swimming. If your trip is taking you farther afield, we’re 2 hours from Yosemite, and 2.5 hours from Lake Tahoe via the less-traveled Highway 4 in warmer months. Or you can can always just relax with a view in the cabin. We’re happy to recommend our favorite spots for hiking and swimming. If your trip is taking you farther afield, we’re ~2 hours from Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance, and 2.5 hours from Lake Tahoe via the less-traveled Highway 4 in warmer months.  We do our best here to strike a balance between simple amenities and comfort. A reminder that we are in the country, so the cabin is best suited to those who like a more rustic getaway. There is no AC, television, or microwave. We've gone without a TV and landline, but WiFi means you can stream to your own devices and make WiFi calls on your cell. We have loads of board games and puzzles. The kitchen has pots/pans/kettle, toaster, mini waffle iron, Brita pitcher, and rice cooker. For coffee drinkers, we have a coffee grinder, french press and pour over dripper.  Help yourself to organic coffee and tea! The cabin is mainly heated by a gas fireplace (looks like a wood stove, but does not need wood). We recommend bringing layers and slippers in the winter while the cabin warms up. Like most cabins in the area, there is no AC, but we provide room fans. Cell reception is unreliable throughout the Sierras except for Verizon, however at the cabin, WiFi calls are available through all carriers --to make calls, enable the setting on your cell phone. The cabin comfortably fits 4 people, with 1 bedroom, a sleeping loft (no door) and 1.5 bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and the loft has a full-size mattress and its own half bathroom. We have a flat parking pad instead of a driveway, which makes things easier in the winter months. The rental rate covers a professional cleaning fee and linens and towels! Guests will need to take their garbage and recycling with them to the local refuse center which is on the way out.

We have 155 acres of the Sierra foothills just ~12 minutes from downtown Murphys. This is a working farm where we specialize in cut flowers and also grow a little food. When available we offer bouquets/eggs/veggies as an add-on. There are a few different listings, so make sure to read the details on your specific listing! -End of The Driveway -1 Pine -2 Pine The End of The Driveway is one big site for buses/RVs/big vans next to the Soup Kitchen. 1 Pine and 2 Pine are up a separate driveway on the ridge. The driveway spot is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. Our location is stunning and historic, and the beauty of the wild, natural landscape is powerful, yet offers easy access to both Yosemite Valley and the San Francisco Bay area. The area features excellent road and mountain biking in the immediate vicinity, vast access to hiking and backpacking trails, a huge variety of rock climbing in the area, the best whitewater rafting in California on the Tuolumne River, with some tasty places to eat or drink coffee in the nearby town of Groveland, just 10 minutes away. Accommodations at the farm are certainly rustic, and private but not secluded, with occasionally heavily project-exploded shared kitchen and living space, showers, and airy flush toilets. Do be advised that animals are pooping, hammers are hammering, sometimes we need to look into a health or animal injury related issue. Sometimes there is blood in an animal birth or slaughter, and our working guardian dogs have been known to be noisy some nights. Water and electricity are both very limited (though we reuse all our water), waste must be carefully sorted into a number of different categories, and there is always evidence of ump-teen projects unfolding at once. The most difficult condition during much of the summer are nuisance flies, which are always gone at night. We have almost no mosquitoes or ticks. Depending on the exact situation and time of year, guests may have the opportunities to snuggle with baby animals and run our herd to or from pasture, and maybe even get their hands dirty picking veggies in the garden.

We want you to have a great stay and avoid any surprises! Heart Valley ranch hosts 300+ acres of rolling pasture nestled along the beautiful Jackass Creek. Access to Yosemite via 120 takes 1 hour , Groveland 10 minutes, and Coulterville 5 minutes. You’ll find cows, goats, chickens, llamas and our two beloved livestock dogs on the property. Many pools to cool off in and sweeping sunset views from the highest point on the property. There is lots of nature to enjoy including bird watching, seasonal wildflowers, and other wild animals. We welcome all ❤️🌈 We highly recommend not bringing any animals, including service animals. We have two livestock guardian dogs that free roam the property and they are not friendly with other animals. IMPORTANT!!! Update jun19th: This year, water levels are lower than usual due to limited rainfall. As a result, swimming at the swimming hole will be closed starting in early July. We had a short but incredibly sweet stay! The views were absolutely beautiful, and waking up to the lake each morning was such a peaceful experience. The small hike down to the lake was beautiful and totally worth it. The animals on the property were honestly the best part — plus we loved getting some extra affection from the resident pup. We even grabbed a few eggs for the road. Everything was wonderful from start to finish, and when we lost power, it was restored so quickly. Jeremy, our Hipcamp host, was super friendly and accommodating and had great recommendations for the area, which made the trip even better. 10/10 stay — we would absolutely come back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, memorable getaway.

Had an awesome experience here. Was a little concerned about how their dogs would act around my 2 little dogs but it wasnt that big of a hassle. Luna was very well-mannered and kept her distance from our dogs and she was super friendly. The guardian dogs only hung out for about 20 minutes when we first got there and then we didnt see them until the next day when they came and checked on us for another 20mins in the afternoon. The view was amazing, especially at sunrise. Jeremy was super cool and even cut us up some firewood to use.

We loved staying in the tree house with incredible views of the lake and nice, cosy set up for 2 people. Jeremy went above and beyond in terms of making us comfortable providing fire wood, helping us to get to the lake side for kayaking and letting us pet the cutest ever puppies that live on the farm. We ate some good food in the town of Murphys and Jeremy’s recommendations of V bistro and vino moda were both excellent. Waking up to the birds chirping and superb view of the lake, foothills clouds from the lofted bed was a real pleasure. Cannot recommend more for a nice get away!!

Very beautiful nordic-aesthetic cabin and overall comfortable stay. A few things to note: I recommend arriving before dark --really appreciated Tom coordinating a 4WD ride up to cabin two, but spot was a little tricky to find with limited service. Host was very communicative to help us! I recommend checking out before 11am, communication after checkout was detail-focused, including documentation of small things during turnover. In the winter, I recommend bringing at least a few more blankets / warm clothing for warmth all night! Lastly, make sure to bring your twinkle lights! **key for cozy aesthetic!**

Really loved the convenience of camp. Showers close by via a quick drive. Propane fire is a must if camping in late January / colder weather. Getting to Yosemite was also very easy. Liza and Tom were very responsive to questions throughout the trip and our stay was great! Highly recommend!

My son and I absolutely loved the cabin and Jeremy’s land! It was beautiful set next to the late and the views were amazing. The cabin was super cozy and it was so nice to have extra amenities (sink, shower, kitchen) near by. We had so much fun going kayaking, playing with the different farm animals and dogs and eating fresh eggs from the chicken coop. The dogs were so friendly and one of them even stayed with us overnight which my son loved! We can’t wait to come back to this space. Jeremy was so kind, communicative and providing great ideas and suggestions for local places.

We had a great stay at Matt and Eve’s! Everyone we met at the farm was kind and welcoming to us, and we enjoyed getting to experience a small slice of farm life. The cabin was clean, cozy, and warm. The property and surrounding area are very beautiful. We also really appreciated the design of the structures and clever use of secondhand materials. Hope to return someday soon!

Malaina was a super responsive, thoughtful and accommodating host! Absolutely a delight. I've never slept in a more comfortable bed! The heater kept the space warm and cozy. The plush bathrobes and towels were a nice touch. Just a shame we couldn't enjoy the property fully on our first day NYE (no fault of Malaina obviously). The heavy rain made it a pain to walk to the outhouse, use the kitchen area and sit by the fire pit. New Year's Day was perfect though and we welcomed the New Year with a nice, relaxing soak. It is the perfect place to unwind, reflect, do minimal things (I did start to get a little stir crazy with the rain pounding on our roof). I'd recommend lots of reading materials, a lantern (one was provided) and more candles.

Enjoy the loft twin bed and the reading couch next to the view.

What an amazing place this is. We stayed in the newly built super view cabin and it absolutely was the most super view. We were there in cold weather and the cabin was so cozy and comfortable. The outdoor grill and fire pit were so great too. The animals were free range and it was magical seeing horses frolic by with their goat friends. Jeremy and his wife and son were so friendly and gave great suggestions on places to visit. By far some of the best hipcamp hosts we've had. We would give this 1000 stars if possible. In the wet weather you definitely should have a AWD or 4WD. My Mazda CX5 handled it like a champ. If you want to see the best sunrise surrounded by endless beauty, go here!

Wondernut Farm is a perfect getaway. Everyone who lives here is super warm and welcoming. I loved hanging with all the animals, but my favorites were the sweet, smart doggies who roamed the property freely and joined on little hikes. The wood stove in the Overlook cabin was also my favorite - so cozy! And also the bed! Super comfortable and a marvelous view to wake up to too. ❤️

My two dogs and I had a very nice stay at this Hipcamp location. The hosts were responsive and helpful. The cabin is cozy, with a fully stocked kitchen, board games, DVDs, and a very useful binder with local information and things to do. The property is wooded and hilly, with paths cut through it, multiple seating and eating areas, and plenty of outdoor activities/games.. Nights were quiet (I did hear shooting practice down the road for a couple of hours one day). Overall, a relaxing and exceptionally well-set-up place to stay, particularly for a group..

Wow, what an amazing and beautiful weekend my girlfriends and I had at the Painted Lake Treehouse! The place is absolutely stunning! It was a mystical and magical wonderland with an amazing view of the lake. We woke up every morning to sounds of the roosters crowing and goats bleeting. We also had the pleasure of being there at the time where they had puppies on the property. They were so cute! The treehouse was warm and comfortable perfect for the three of us. The two petite girls stayed in the loft bed and I stayed on the futon couch down below. The heater kept us nice and toasty as we went there in December so it got brisk at night. There was was a camp kitchen, outdoor shower hut & portopotty just a just a short walk up the hill from the treehouse. There were dishes and cooking utensils provided as well as running water and a stove for cooking. Everything we needed. Our purpose for the weekend was to be surrounded by nature and to do a healing retreat weekend. We each booked a constellation therapy session with Michelle. Let me tell you she is absolutely magical. Such a compassionate and knowledgeable healer. It was truly transformative on so many levels. The animals participated as well. My favorite part was when the horses nuzzled my back during the final session. Our hosts Jeremy and Michele made sure that all of our needs were met and were extremely welcoming and excited to have us there. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Thanks M&J!! 💖 MAGIC!

Malaina was a great host, respected our privacy and wow both my boyfriend and I were significantly impressed with the hot tub. Cool area to explore, malaina recommended a hike that gave a beautiful view of Lake New Malones. The bed was a comfy and there was a gate we could close off our space with for optimal privacy/comfort for puppy off leash. Thanks for a great adventure!

We were only able to stay one night and just wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin was nice and cosy, the super moon was bright and the dogs were so welcoming! 💓 I really wish we could have spent more time at the farm but grateful for our stay!

North Grove Campground

Beautiful place... not my fav campground, tho. We had site 50. It's down-sloping w/two mostly-flat spots between it and the campsite (53? 51?) at the bottom of the hill. No obvious division here (all trees between have been cut down) between sites, making it unclear which tent site "ought" to belong to which & definitely minimizing privacy. Tons of yellow jackets here. No shower at restroom 5, which is two rustic huts. The 60-74 sites appeared to be more private w/ a bath house. That said, the entire North Grove campground gets all the highway noise (think logging trucks going uphill at 4am) from Route 4. While it was nice to be able to walk to the Big Trees area from this area, I think next time, we'll try the Oak Hollow sites.

We stayed at the environmental sites. The site was unbelievable! It was beautiful, secluded, and the river. However, we had the worst experience with the Rangers and campground. They gave us misinformation about service dogs and kicked us aggressively out at dusk for the dogs being there and not believing that we had a disability for which we needed the dogs. They left us stranded and ejected us from the park despite our paperwork from the park and our ADA cards for the dogs. The treatment and interaction was inappropriate, dangerous, and irrational. This is the second time I have stayed here and both times I received different information from people who worked there.

Oak Hollow Campground

Just camped at Oak Hollow 113 over Memorial Day weekend. While North Grove seemed a bustle of both campers and extra day visitors, Oak Hollow (over 3 miles further into the park) has more tranquility. Camp spaces felt more spread out, and somewhat more private depending on the spot. A lot of fallen trees, large stumps and creek beds create natures playground which the kids LOVED! It does look like most campsites only have one really good tent space, and some of them don't look that level. Our second tent was definitely on a slant, but I'd book 113 again because the overall site was extremely spacious and private. A double bear box handled 2 families worth of food, which was necessary because there were a couple bears wandering camp.

Stayed 2 summers in a row. Oak Hollow & N. Grove both great sites. However, Oak hollow did have steep hills for camping sites..as in roll off your air mattress, hike down the hill type steep to and from your car. Handicap sites were all satisfactory at both sites. Restrooms&showers were maintained well,My only gripe is no one ever answers any of the calls. We've reserved a group site this year but can't get anyone to confirm whether or not the group sites have showers or the allowable # of cars is including in the $200/nt fee. I realize that a site to accommodate nearly 100 people should have showers of their own but I'd hate to be presumptuous.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid. I absolutely love this place. It can get packed in the warm summer months so get here early. This place is very majestic in the winter with snowfall.

Oak Hollow Campground

Stayed in site 117. Large site but definitely sloped. There were several steps down from the site's assigned parking area to the picnic table, fire ring, bear locker and tent site. Convenient water spigots and bathrooms throughout the campground. Showers were in a slightly rough shape but overall clean and hot. Staying in Oak Hollow puts you closer to the South Grove loop, an easy two hour hike that's worth doing. Great place overall.

Oak Hollow Campground

This campground was further from noise of hwy 4 and tourists than North Grove Campground. Nice, shady sites, some quite large. However, many sites are on slopes which means carrying your gear up/down stairs from your car.

The North Grove is hugely popular and rightfully so! The South Grove, however, should not be overlooked, because it’s awesome and includes the huge “Agassiz Tree”...check it out!
